The snow was falling heavily and the entire city was covered with a blanket of white
The streets are usually quiet during the nighttime
But it was Christmas night; Lights and music spread across the city
In distance music,carols were heard from nearby church

As I was watching people who were enjoying their time my phone rang

If it wasn't someone's fault who forgot to pick up the cake while coming back from the office

I won't have been late
Alex my best friend since High school we used to spend time together a lot and people used to think we were dating

After walking for ten minutes I reached

As you know they are busy
Since it is Christmas my parents spend time with their business partners talking about the deals and stuff
Well as COO of LH I should be present there with them, but I skipped it to enjoy Christmas with my friends not with Business Partners

Alex shouted from the kitchen
Riley stood and went to the kitchen to help him
A second later Nick came out of his room
He flopped on the couch beside me and switched on the TV

I glanced at him and he was watching a highlights of basketball match and changed the channel to news and economic channel

We don't interact with each other much just greetings or some work stuff

Riley walked behind him and held dishes and placed at the dinning table
Nick stood up and walked to the refrigerator,he opened the door and took a wine bottle from the refrigerator and closed it
I stood up and walked to the dinning table and took my seat

Aren't you gonna help?

What? I walked down the street and brought the cake

Riley got wine glasses and placed them on the table
I took a glass and reached out for the bottle when Nick passed it to me
He nodded and got his seat right beside me
After pouring the wine in the glass I passed him the bottle

By then Riley and Alex get seated
I raised the glass for drinking when Nick gave me cheers to my glass
I was in awe when I turned my head and drank my wine
Why would Nick Bailey suddenly do that?
We started eating and drinking while chatting with each other
An hour or two later we finished our dinner and Nick and I cleaned up the dishes
Alex opened the cake box and cut it into pieces for everyone
We sat on the couch with wine glasses on the coffee table along with wine bottle and beer cans
As we ate the cake while drinking, I felt my face a little hot
I guess my cheeks had tinted red color because of the alcohol, but I wanted to drink little more
Since I have the same routine to follow the day after tomorrow, tomorrow is the holiday because of boxing day wake up go to office work come back home nothing less or more
I grabbed the beer can and drank the half of the can in one go

Drink slowly no one is gonna take it from you
Nicole
I just want to drink
I again drank the beer from the can and completed it
I started feeling dizzy after drinking the beer can
Alex
You guys staying tonight?
Riley
Me too I can't drive after drinking
After an hour I was drunk so did Alex and Riley, Nick barely drank any

Alex was drunk and stood up and walked to his room sloppily
Riley and I laughed seeing his walk like that
Riley stood up and walked sloppily too into the guest room
I saw her walk away to the room and my eyes were heavy, and I closed them while I was on the couch and leaned over the couch handle
I felt a hand on my shoulder shaking me, but I whined
The shaking stopped and felt two strong arms behind my back and under my knees
I heard the door open and I felt a soft cloth on my skin which shrunk down I curled up and felt a soft cloth on my legs and the rest of the body
I had my eyes closed and fell asleep in no time

I woke up at my regular time at 5:30 AM doing my routine such as hitting the gym and jog back to home
It was 7:30 AM when I reached home I checked my watch and checked my calorie burn
Opened the front gate and walked to the main door unlocking the nobe as Alex and others were asleep
I know they won't wake up still as they drank a lot last night I entered inside I walked to the kitchen which was on the right side of the living room without any division between
I pulled my shirt to my face and wiped sweat , revealing my abs to some extent—
Closing the refrigerator door I turned my head towards the refrigerator
It was Nicole; she was standing with a water bottle in her hand and she was looking at me
Her gaze went a little down towards my abs when I pulled my shirt down
She looked away and greeted me

Ah…it's alright I didn't have much since I had wine the most

And I'm used to it,
Well I guess she is since she's COO of EL she has to attend events and parties
I just nodded my head and she left the kitchen in no time

I took out fruits from the refrigerator and added them into the blender and on it and waited still fruits got crushed and I added milk and cream in it and off after it was nicely blender
I poured out the smoothie in two glasses
I held them in my hands and carried them to the living room I passed one to Nicole she was on the couch and checking her phone
She looked at me and then took the glass and thanked me
I didn't sit on the couch as I was sweating all over my body and gulped down the smoothie
While drinking I gazed at Nicole who was drinking the smoothie while her eyes were locked in her phone
She stood up and walked to the kitchen and placed the glass in the sink while she was looking at her phone
I walked to the kitchen and placed the glass in the sink when I moved forward to close the cabinet door which was opened
Nicole was leaning on the corner of the kitchen pavement away from the cabinet door which was opened because the screw got loose I told Alex to fix it but he didn't do it yet
As I reached the cabinet door to close I suddenly felt a soft hit on my chest I looked at my chest and I saw a small head and lifted her face and her eyes met my eyes
