...Princess Maria sipped her tea early in the morning, just as she would do every day but today the tea was odd not like the usual tea she always drinks....

...“Hm, this tea needs more sugar, could you be so kind as hand me the sugar please, butler,” she said with a calm and gesturing voice. “Of course,” said the butler and handed her the sugar....

...They talk for hours and hours forgetting about what time has been, it felt like time has stopped for both of them... They talk and talk until Princess Maria got called by the butler to go to the Palace and then they both go to their path like nothing ever happened......

...The next day came, and it was Princess Maria's birthday, she received many presents from noble people for celebrating her 17th birthday, but there was one gift she only glances at... it was her father's gift it wasn't jewelry, clothes, or something expensive... It was a letter from her dad....

...Princess Maria was overjoyed by reading what was inside it....

Happy 17th birthday my apologies I couldn't join you on your special day, I hope your wishes may come true this year, and luck will always be right beside you my dearest daughter. May God protect you and give you more knowledge for the greater good of our kingdom.

I must admit, I feel unhappy that I couldn't be right beside you on your special day and sing along with the birthday song and eating cakes like my life depends on it and seeing your bright smile like you use to when you were little… It meant the world to me and your mother…
