King Alaric POV

^^^March 6th, 1479^^^

Another council meeting a boring one at that, that I'm in. It's always about: You need to find a Queen, You need a heir. That's all they tell me and finally I listened to them. My father recently died two months ago making me a seventeen year old King.

Even when I am young I'm at the marriage age. My father wanted me to marry one of the Squire's or the Carlton's. After the council I decided to visit the Squire's first. I mean I heard their daughter was nice, sweet, kind, and all the things I like.

"Get the carriage ready. We are going to the Squire's first" I demanded. As they got it ready I made sure I look presentable for them. That's what my father says before he died. He told me to always be presentable when meeting.

When I got to the Palace I was greeted by Mr. and Mrs. Squire and his daughter Desislava. I watch as they bow for me and I saw the most beautiful young women walk past in the background.

"Hello your Majesty" They said in echolalia which I gave them a little bow. "I see you wanted to meet our daughter Desislava to see if she can rule beside you" King Drogo Squire said with a smile. "Yes..." I said not knowing what to really say.

I know the reason why their daughter can't sit on the throne for them. They already have an heir, male heir, and now they selling their daughter to become a Queen. Which I just found sad for the poor girl who didn't deserve that.

I clear my throat "I would like to spend some time with her. When I go over to the Carlton's tomorrow I would do the same. Then I would announce who I would marry" I said which made King Drogo smile fade.

"Why can't you choose now?" King Drogo asked me. "It was my father choice to pick between the both of them. Whoever I like they become my Queen." I said as I can see the madness in King Drogo face.

'damnit! Why did I say that?' I thought.

"Um...I think it was a good idea to meet them both different days. Then I see which one I like better because it's easier?" I said with a nervous smile. "I think it was a good idea your Majesty" Princess Desislava said with a smile. King Drogo looked at his daughter then to me and nodded.

Then Princess Desislava grab me and led me into the palace. It was beautiful on the inside and I see all the maids, servants, and cooks, doing their job. If only mine can do the same without chaos happening.

Then I saw her again that same beautiful young women who I guess is a maid. "That's Celestina Rolfe, she is the bastard daughter of King Richard the II. Technically a descendant of a throne but her mother were our maid before she left and now she lives with us doing the same work like her mother" Princess Desislava explained.

So I guess this Celestina Rolfe mother was a mistress. Not that I'm complaining her mother must be real pretty to give birth to someone so angel looking like her. "Let's go!" Princess Desislava said as she pulled me into the library.

"Do you read books?" She asked. "Yes I do" I said back. "Have you read Chaucer, The Canterbury Tales?" She asked as I didn't even know what that book was. "I guess not....It's the best story!" Princess Desislava said as she explained what happened in the book in details.

It seems interesting by how things was happening in that book. Maybe someday I would read it if I can find how to get it. After some time of going through stuff she like and base on her personality she look like a perfect match for me.

I went up to King Drogo and gave him a bow. "Your daughter seem like a match to me so far. But I have to see what the Carlton's daughter is like." I said as he nodded. I took my leave in went back to my castle.

"Your Majesty" I heard one of my council sirs call out. "Do you need something?" I asked. "You found your match?" He asked me eagerly. "I told you the plan today I visit one today and the other tomorrow." I said getting really annoyed.

He nods then left me standing their an annoyed teenage King who has to be marry not for love but for the kingdom, my kingdom, and my people. I then went to go read until it was time for bed. Goodnight sleep but not really I have nightmares about how bad I rule the kingdom.

But at that time I always hear my father telling me I would do great. That's all I need to hear and I keep repeating it in my head over and over again.

Princess Desislava POV

"Celestina! I see the King took a liking to you" I said with a smile as I see her blush. "Why would a King take a liking to me? I'm a bastard child and at that a maid" she said with a little common sense. I don't see why she thinks nobody like her and trust me we don't care if she's a bastard child or not.

"Nobody cares about you being a bastard child. They base you off from personality, how you treat people, not about your parents at all." I said with a confronting smile. "Now let's goes to my father room I have something to tell him." I said as I grab Celestina to go to my father room.

You might wonder why I said my father room it's because my mother and father doesn't like sharing a bed together. I see that my father snore in his sleep and it annoyed my mother to death.

I didn't even knock on his door and just came right in. "Father!" I yelled out playfully and he jump and stare wide eye at me. "Desislava! What did I told you about knocking?!" He yelled out. "To knock before you come in" I said with my head down.

"Okay then next time do that" My father said in his cold tone. I was used to that by now, not just me everyone was. "Yes father" I said looking in his eyes. "What do you need?" He asked. "I want to tell you that people said I empress the King." I said as I see my father had a smirk on his face.

"That's good. I see your not a disappointment after all Desislava" My father said as I just stare at him with hardly any emotion of him calling me a disappointment. Again I was used to it every since I was born mostly because of my brother is the heir of the throne.

"Celestina why are you here?" My father asked. "I-Um...She wanted me to-" I heard Celestina stuttering on her words. "Leave" My father demanded Celestina who left the room in a hurry. "You done good daughter.a Go." My father said as I left his chambers.

King Alaric POV

^^^March 7th, 1479^^^

I woke up with a startled gasp. I never knew that a dream can feel so real but I know that it probably won't be real at all. "Young Majesty are you okay?" One of my caretaker said. "I'm fine" I said as I get dress with their help.

Sometimes I wish some dreams can come true. This dream I had was something that I wish to happen but since the person that was in it dead it already couldn't happen. That's the sad truth of dreams these days something that you wish to happen comes up as a nightmare.

Today I was going to the Carlton's to see if I would choose their daughter. To be honest I probably not there daughter is mean, disrespectful, and take granted of what she has. But at the end I have to meet her anyway shape or form it was meant to happen.

"Your Majesty the carriage is ready" I heard my maid said. "Okay" I told her as I got into the carriage that was waiting for me. "I'm not ready to meet her at all" I said out loud which I didn't mean to. But I never got a response at all which I'm glad at.

Finally I arrived like always their was Mr. and Mrs. Carlton and there daughter who was dress well nice. They bow which I gave a little bow back and started talking about what I said last time to the Squire. They agree which I can see the smirk on there daughter face an evil one at that.

I follow her into their palace which I found more beautiful then the Squire one. "I see that you like pretty girls with a good personality" She said. "Um..Can I ask what is your name?" I asked wondering. "My name is Princess Colette" She said as we shake hands.

Her hands where soft, and smooth which I took a liking to. "I tell you something that I like okay?" She said as I nod. "I like helping others, animals, poetry, and many other things that will take forever" She said as I started thinking.

'Was all this people was saying is just rumors and not true?'

I do like that she does like those things and mostly helping others. "Come on I was going to a charity for poor people. I'm giving them my money to help them get their life together" She said as we prepare for where she had to go.

After we got done doing the charity I left. We all said our goodbyes first before I left. When I saw the same council sirs and already knew what he was about to say. "I'm not picking so quick so don't say it" I said as I walked away.

Princess Colette POV

I pace around I hope my great act but on really real. But people make it worse by them rumoring about my true colors. It just makes it worse, worse, worse, and did I say worse?

"My little act better pay off! I want to become Queen!" I yelled as my parents tried to calm me down. "He probably will pick you darling either way you have a chance." My father said as my mother nodded.

Of course they will say that I mean what kind of parents are their if they can't say anything nice about their own daughter. I looked down on them all the time they have no choice to do as I say. They won't kill their own daughter. Will they?

"I'm going to retire for the night since it's night" I said which I know made no sense but the same time I didn't even care. Finally I made it to my chamber and went to sleep. Maybe I can be the next Queen of Kakiage and go down as the best one at that.

Princess Desislava POV

^^^March 8th, 1479^^^

It was time for the King to announce who he will marry. I hope it was me we all know if that Carlton's daughter is just pretending and it's stupid for him to pick her.

As our carriage made it to his kingdom we can see the Carlton's made it before us. We didn't care at all. We got into the castle and I stand next to the other King daughter. "The King is here!" Said a random man as we bow as he came and sat on his throne.

"I decided to choose...." The King said as I looked hopeful but my father glare at me. His eyes tell me everything. If I don't win then he will be mad at me for the rest of my life. "I choose Princess Desislava" The King said as I smiled.

I can see from the side of my eyes that the Carlton's were mad as ever. "You may now stay with me so pack your things and come back." He said as my father gratefully nodded with his stupid smile.

'I hope I can be a good wife for him.' I thought maybe I was over thinking it but that's how every women feels these days.

We did as told but my father told me to give him an heir, be a good wife, and take Celestina with me. I did as my father told and it seems that my fiancé didn't mind when I brought Celestina with me.

King Alaric POV

When she bring Celestina with her my heart start beating and I couldn't stop looking at her. She looks so gorgeous. Her golden blonde hair, her grey eyes, her beautiful curvey body, and her lips.

Even through this is wrong but I feel something for that maid. But I don't want to take her into a mistress like her father did to her mother. But if I did she won't mind right? After all I am King and if she said no I have her dead.

I went around trying to find her and finally I did. "Can I speak to Celestina alone?" I asked as the other maids left. "I want to ask you something" I said as she looked up to me. "What is it your Majesty?" She said. "Call me Alaric. I want to ask you to be my mistress." I hardly said that with no remorse at all.

"I-I can't " She said strutting looking around like someone was going to help her. "You have to. If you don't agree I have you dead." I said with a little bit of a smile. "F-Fine." She said as I see tears rolling down her cheeks.

"Don't cry darling and go back to doing your work. Also you will wait until I come into your room for a susprise." I said as I saw her scrambled away. I came myself a little laugh now I have both. My going to be wife and her maid who is now my secret mistress.

Princess Desislava POV

I can't believe how time flies so quick because it was already nighttime. I know what we have to do to gave him a heir and I'm ready for it. He came in and we started but by time he was done I was left gasping, and really, really, REALLY, tired.

I feel asleep but I think he did to. But how would I know if I was dead sleep from our little sexual moment.

King Alaric POV

After I saw her asleep I went into my mistress room as I saw her waiting like I told her to. "Do as I say and nothing will happen to you" I said as she nodded a little hesitant.

I did the same as I did my soon-to-be wife. I left her like my wife too and I went back to my chamber and went to sleep. A peaceful sleep at that.

Celestina Rolfe POV

^^^March 9th, 1479^^^

I woke up like always and made sure to clean myself up. What I did was something I couldn't even explain at all. I started doing my daily chores like always. I made sure not to run into Alaric at all.

I didn't want to ignore him but what me and him did was undescribable. I couldn't stand another minute looking at him and looking at my friend who accepted me into her family.

I couldn't do that to her at all I couldn't and wouldn't stand the look of betrayal on her face. I couldn't stand to know that I made love with her fiancé when we literally just met in one day.

I started talking to the other maids after all my choirs I did. "Did you hear that the King doesn't love the princess?" One maid said. "Maybe because he has a mistress." Other maid said as my eyes widened.

Please don't tell me they know the secret.

King Alaric POV

I woke up next to my fiancée who was still asleep. I heard her soft snoring and her arm hit the middle of my chest. I slowly move her arm and got out of bed. I started putting on my new clothes and smiled.

"You have another council to go to." One of my guards said. Instead of going to the council I got some fanatic new for them but not me. 

Princess Desislava is pregnant.

'You got her pregnant before your mistress' I thought.

Instead of going to the council I announce that my fiancée was now pregnant with my heir. Cheers. That's all I heard going around. Clapping. Everyone was happy.

I clench my jaw. Now that she is pregnant we would have her crown immediately now or someday next week. And now that lead me into a little bit of a twister.
