It Sunday, Sophia's favourite day. As it's the only day when her husband spends sometime with her. Can spending 15 minutes  from his day count as spending time? Well for Sophia it is, even though it's only for having dinner together. She can count on her fingers how much 'quality' time her husband spends with her. But today John decided to spend 30 minutes. And for Sophia it was something she could cherish her entire life as it was her birthday.

She hoped those 15 minutes are to make her day special. But life is funny. When ones expected happiness to come, hurt was about to hit in a way where you never expected.

Same happened with Sophia. John stayed extra 15 minutes after dinner to give the divorce papers he had prepared for her.

Sophia was eldest daughter-in-law of the Rogers family. She was John's 'legally' wedded wife. The word legally was indeed funny, it was word that can put one in immense power at the same time can took all the authority from someone else's. Sophia knew this since the time she got married to John that it was a forced marriage and John really hates the idea of being told to.

Still she thought that maybe if she's a good wife and good daughter-in-law, then maybe, just maybe John might start to love her. But all the hopes and expectations were keep destroying, as Sophia had to face her own battles. All her love became hurt and in a blink of an eye after three years of her marriage, her legally wedded husband gave her divorce paper and asked her to sign. All she remaining hopes were scattered along with heart already broken heart. She took the paper, without reading it, signed it and gave him the paper.

In a blink of an eye her three years marriage ended.

For all three years, she remained obedient, tolerate and loving to his family especially towards his mother Charlotte. Coming from a poor family Sophia adapted herself as fast as she could to be the worthy wife, but for what? For the husband who was too busy with work, and never once did he love her emotionally. Sadly she was just a bed warmer for him. They had great chemistry on bed together. One could never guess that they are mere couples on papers.

And like this her 24th birthday become the worst day of her life and she doubted that John even remembered it's her birthday. But based on his personality she knew it will still be fruitless even if he know it was her birthday, a day where he can give her the love she deserves but he will never give her that love.

All these three years, she did everything on book that could help her win his love, but she understood she was too naive to believe in love, she understood the hard way. A way that turned her warm heart to cold.
