...A girl is screaming for help because her parents have been abusive towards her, they even tried to kill her once when she was in grade 6....

..."Please stop, it's hurting, please don't hit me anymore" the poor girl said begging for mercy. "I WON'T STOP UNTIL YOU LEARN YOUR LESSONS" her cruel mom said furiously....

...Her dad is just watching emotionless, while the mother has been hitting the daughter for more than an hour...

..."Did you learn your lessons?" the mother said stopping. "I SAID, DID YOU LEARN YOUR LESSONS?" she asked again but this time Ashley just nodded...

...Ashley is just crying helplessly, she was screaming for help but no one came. She wanted to escape from the prison she's in right now....

...She walked to her room weakly and locked the door to cry more. Not only that, but she never felt the love she wanted because her biological parents left her....

..."Why does it have to be me?, Am I that useless?" she said sobbing "I just want to escape this prison, but how?" she told herself....

...A loud knock could be heard from outside her door. She stood up quickly but weakly...

..."HEY *****, COOK US FOOD WE ARE HUNGRY" she demanded. Ashley just did what her step-mom told her....

...She washed the dishes when they were done eating. This was the second day she hasn't eaten anything....

...She went to her bedroom and was about to sleep, but she thought of escaping, she looked at the window and opened it...

...Then, the door suddenly opened revealing her step-dad "What are you doing?" he asked "I-I w-was j-just t-taking s-some f-fresh a-a-air" she said nervously...

...Good thing the man believed her and left. Ashley took this chance and looked down "Ooohh, that's pretty high, but I'll do anything to escape from this prison" ...

...And with that she jumped and landed, then she ran out of the house opening the gate quietly and got out of there...

...She was happily running around until she realized, she don't know where she will go for the night...

...She was deciding if she sleep on the streets or stay up all night to wait for help...

..."Should I sleep in this bench or stay up all night to look for help?" she asked herself over and over again....

...THE next day she woke up on the bench. A lot of people was looking at her with pity in their eyes, then a guy caught her attention, he was heading towards her...

...She thought he was heading the other way, so she ignored it. Then he said "Are you ok, I don't trust people that easy, but I'm seeing something different in your eyes" he said willing to help Ashley. ...

..."My eyes?" the guy nodded "So where do you leave?" he suddenly asked making Ashley froze. ...

...Do I have a house? That always come to her mind. She even wondered if somebody still loves her. ...

..."Well I have...... before" she just said sadly and walked out of there. She starts to get teary but held it in, because people might think she's weird...

...Ashley is the kindest person, her family adores her. Even though her older brother is missing, she hopes that he will come back....

...When they were coming home the car's brake won't work so they started to get worried...

..."Mom, What's going on?" *the 6 years old Ashley asked her mother curiously ...

...Then everything went black after she asked her mother. "Mom........ Dad.......Please wake up" the crying Ashley begged to her parents, but it didn't work, Then she passed out...

...Then a beautiful lady showed up "Honey, Let's bring them to the hospital" the lady said worried "Yes honey, also there is a child here" the man said*...

..."Let's take them to the hospital, just hurry up" *the lady said getting furious ...

...They immediately took them to the hospital. The nurses and doctors took the family to the Emergency Room. ...

...After a while, the doctor went outside and said "You're the two who took them here right?" they just nodded waiting for the results then* "Only the child survived, she's in a comma right now, but she's fine. As for the adults, they're dead" the doctor said and walked out ...

..."What should we do honey, should we adopt her?" the lady said worried ...

..."Maybe we can adopt her" *the man said thinking. They thought about it and they decided to adopt her...

...A few weeks have past and little Ashley finally woke up, they immediately called the doctor to check on Ashley*...

..."She's fine now, all she needs is to be taken a lot of care. She also might have trauma so be careful" with that being said the doctor left...

...Then Ashley looked at them "Who are you guys, also where am I, where is Mom and Dad?" Ashley said almost crying in fear...

..."Don't worry dear we won't hurt you" the lady said reassuring Ashley who was scared the whole time ...

...They tried to comfort her, but it didn't work. "Where is my Mom and Dad?" *she said crying ...

...They started to tear up too, they want to tell you that your parents are dead but they can't because your still a child*. ...

..."Baby, we can't find your parents, but we're sure they'll be back and fine" they said tears rolling down to their cheeks...

..."Why are you crying though?" Ashley said looking at them suspiciously ...

..."Do you know anywhere you can live in?" the lady asked changing the topic...

..."Actually, I don't know any" Ashley said sadly. Then the couple decided to tell her that they adopted her...

..."Look baby, do you trust us?" *the lady said with a little smile on her lips ...

...Ashley shook her head "I can't trust you guys, but I will try to" little Ashley said "Well actually sweetheart, we adopted you, but if you don't want to th-" the lady was cutted off by Ashley saying* "Really, you're going to be my parents?!" she said with excitement on her face...

...They laugh at her reaction and nodded. A few weeks later, Ashley was finally discharge out of the hospital...

...Everything is going well until Ashley found out that her parents were dead all this time, but they didn't tell her...

..."Why didn't you guys told me that my parents are dead, Why did you keep it from me?" she said tears rolling down to her cheeks...

..."Ashley, we're about to tell you but you already found out" she said calmly "About to tell me my foot, couldn't you guys just tell me what happened to me when I asked you before" she said crying "I shouldn't have trusted you guys" ...

...Thinking about it makes me feel like I want to cry, I was walking to the bridge to calm down, I didn't even care if everyone is looking at me while there are bruises all over my body...

..."Hey, you don't have a house right?" the man asked "Why do you care" *Ashley said crying...

...THE man just let Ashley cry, because he also lost his parents when he was young*...

...THE guy pulled out of the hug "How do you know my name?" the guys said shocked...

..."I also have a brother, he got missing when I was 5 years old" she said while having a flashback with her brother...

..."I got lost while we were going on a shopping, I was also 5 years old back then. In fact, I have the same age as my sister" the guy said then he chuckled...

..."Does that mean you already know my name?" *Ashley said smiling a bit...

...They laugh at each other*. "Let me ask you again, Do you have a home to live in?" he asked again caughting Ashley of guard...

..."Actually, I don't, can you take me in. But don't worry I won't be bother some" she said awkwardly...

..."Let me lead you to your room first" they went upstairs to the guest room "Just call me if you need something" he said and you just nodded...

...You went in and went straight to the bed so you could rest, you were thinking a lot that you didn't know you fell asleep...

..."Ashley, wake up were going to eat dinner" Asher said softly. Ashley woke up and looked outside and realized she was sleeping the whole day...

..."Why didn't you wake me up?" she said almost yelling "I tried to, but you didn't move an inch" Ashley got embarrassed and hid her face with her palms...

..."Are you going to eat or no?" he said going out the door. Ashley immediately ran downstairs to the kitchen...

..."Enjoy the food" Asher said smiling widely, they sat down and ate the food Asher made...

..."Why did you cook a lot?" she asked looking at the foods on the table "Just eat, I know how much you love food" they laugh at what Asher said...
