In the land of light. The angels were getting ready for the new angels to arrive. As the new angels arrived, they all transformed into a holiday, guardian, soldiers, or a normal angel. But for me, I changed into this black, red, and dark purple angel.  I didn’t know what was happening to me. But everyone was looking at me until I heard someone say the angel of darkness. 

        I looked at the queen of the angels and said, “what do you mean by the angel of darkness?” I felt my heart beating fast. The queen looked at me and said, “you have to choose between us or the demons.” She continued to talk “you would also help us win the war because you are really powerful.” I felt asking so many other questions when another angel put his hand on my shoulder.  The boy angel looked like me, but he was in a rainbow sort of color for his outfit. I was a little startled.

           “Miss... Umm...." He seemed like he didn’t know what to even say. “Luna my name is Luna and you are?” I was waiting to see his shock of surprise that I knew what he was going to ask me. “It's nice to meet you Luna, I’m Luke.” The queen went up to me and Luke. “I’m guessing you are the angel of light then.” Luke nodded as indicating yes and then said, “you are the angel of darkness then.” I nodded in a motion of yes. The queen sighed and smiled at the two of us. 

         Everyone was still looking at us and then Luke stuck out his hand.  I stuck mine out and shake his hand. The queen said, “please follow me the both of you.” We followed her to a palace. It was tall and huge we entered the palace. It was bright and colorful. Luke and I were told to look around where ever. Luke went upstairs I went outside where the patio was.  The queen sent a guard to get me and Luke. 

          As the guard and Luke went to get me.  They heard me humming a song that I remembered it had a tune of calmness that I couldn’t forget.  The both of them seemed surprised. “you guys need something?” I looked at them both.  The guard said, “the queen wants to see you both.”

         Me and Luke followed the guard. The queen was at a table. I felt my heart beating fast again. Luke looked at me and asked, “are you ok Luna?” I nodded motioning yes. The queen looked at us both and then said, “you two have to stay in the palace and live here.” She continued to talk “tomorrow you two will meet the king of demons.” I didn’t know what to even say. Luke said, “ok and then we will choose what side we want to be on.” He continued to talk “can we go to sleep now?” 

          The queen nodded and said, “guard please take them to their rooms.” The guard did what he was told. Me and Luke walked behind the guard.  Luke looked at me. He seemed like he was making sure that I wasn’t breathing fast like the other two times. The guard stopped walking and so did Luke and I. The guard said, “you two will be sharing a room.” He continued to talk. “Luna you are on the left side and Luke you are on the right side.”

            Luke and I walked into the room. The left side was dark, and the right side was bright. Luke went to lay on his bed.  I sat on a window seat and looked outside. Luke noticed me looking outside. Luke said, “if you want me to, I can show you where a hill is to see the perfect sunset.” I looked at him and smiled a little bit. “That would be awesome,” I said. He motioned me to follow him I did. He took me through a lot of halls and we finally made it to the back-patio door.

        He looked at me and said, “you ready to see the sunset?” I nodded and said, “yes.” I smiled a little bit. Luke said, “follow me.” So, I did. We walked where the flowers were and then went up to a hill that had a beautiful tree on it. I followed Luke up the hill. Once we got up there it was amazing.  

         We sat on the ground. The sun was going down. It was beautiful you could see pink, blue, orange, yellow, and a little bit of red. Luke saw me smiling from the sunset. Once it got really dark out fireflies came out. “Maybe we should head back before it gets chilly out,” Luke said. I got up and nodded. Luke got up off the ground he put his jacket on me.

         Once we got back to the palace, I got really sleepy. Luke picked me up and carried me back to our room. He was acting like a brother to me. I looked at him. “What is it Luna?” Luke asked.  “Nothing you’re just acting like a brother that’s all,” I said. 

          I heard Luke chuckle a little bit and then he said, "well we should get some sleep." I looked at Luke and asked, "why?" Luke sighed as he was putting me down on my bed, "because we still need to meet the Demon king tomorrow." That's when  Luke put a blanket on me and he continued to talk, "and then after we meet the king we have to choose a side." I yawned and said, "ok." Luke layed down on his bed. I looked at Luke and said, "night Luke." Luke looked back at me and said, "goodnight sweetie, I mean night Luna." Luke was asleep and then I slowly fell asleep. 

          Soon morning came again. I was still asleep. I felt someone tapping my arm and I heard Luke's voice and he was saying; "it's time to wake up." I yawned and opened my eyes. "I'm up....im up.." then I asked, "what time is it?" I saw Luke look at the clock and said, "it's nine in the morning." I got up fast. "We need to eat breakfast and get out of our bedtime clothes," I said. Out of know where Luke started to laugh. "What's so funny?" I asked. "Go look in the mirror," Luke replied. 

        I didn't hesitate so I walked into the bathroom and said, "Luke where's the hair brush?" Luke replied and said, "check the cabinet on the left." I grabbed the hair brush. There was a knock on the door. I saw Luke opening the door. Luke said, "yes?" I heard a guard speaking, the guard said, "breakfast is ready and once you are done with breakfast, you two will meet the king of demons." I walked out of the bathroom with a different outfit on. My hair was up and then the guard left the room. 

       Luke was wearing a tuxedo. "Wow you look really proper Luke," I said. I saw Luke rolling his eyes in a playful way. "Speaking of being proper you look way past on the scale of being proper," Luke said. He was right though, I was wearing a black dress that faded into a red, blue, and purple color. Luke and I left the bedroom and walked to the dining room. The queen of angels wasn't there. We decided to sit down. But that's when Luke pulled my chair out for me to sit down. Luke and I were sitting across from each other. We just sat there and ate breakfast. It was way to quiet and awkward, but then a demon guard walked into the room. I guess it was time for us to meet the king of demons. 

      Me and Luke followed the demon guard. We walked until we saw a bridge that connected the demon and angels together. The guard walked across the bridge, I hesitated a little bit but I followed the guard. Luke was beside me trying to make sure that I wasn’t breathing fast or having another one of my anxiety issues. There was a lot of demons that were looking and watching us. Luke must’ve been scared because he was trying to avoid eye contact. I looked at Luke and said, “don’t worry they won’t hurt you, I promise.” Luke looked at me with a surprised expression. Once we got to the palace it was all black and red. Luke’s right hand was shaking. “Luke you ok?” I asked. Luke didn’t say anything or even show a motion for yes or no. I sighed and tapped Luke on the shoulder. He looked at me in a confused way. 

      “What?” Luke asked. “Nothing just forget that I even said anything.” I looked at the ground after I got done talking. Luke gave me a hug out of know where. I hugged back and looked at him. I thought Luke was scared again but he wasn’t. The demon guard looked at us both and said, “you two have to go straight and make a left, this was as far as long to where I could take you both.” 

    “Its ok you don’t have to apologize and thank you for the directions,” I said. Luke seemed surprised that even a demon could be nice. The demon guard said, “your welcome but again I’m truly am sorry but ok.” I gave the guard a nice smile and the guard returned a polite smile. Luke and I started to walk straight and then we took the left. 

    We ended up in the throne room. The king was in his throne. When he saw me and Luke, the king got up. Luke looked at the king and then at me. The king asked, “is he ok?” I shrugged and said, “I have no idea if he is or isn’t.” Luke finally said something, “first off I’m ok and second off you both look like each other but gender bend; and Luna has angel wings and the king has demon wings.” Me and the king looked surprised. 

    “I don’t see the resemblance at all sorry angel of light,” the king said. Luke looked at me. “Can you please call us or names?” I asked. The king nodded. “I’m Luke and the angel of darkness is Luna,” Luke said. “Its nice to meet you both,” the king said. “So exactly what are we supposed to do?” I asked without hesitation. The king said, “we will talk about it over lunch.” “Ok,” Luke said. The king motioned us to follow him. Me and Luke followed the king; to a big table there was a lot of food. 

    Luke pulled out a chair for me. The king was already sitting down. I sat down on the chair. Luke sat beside me. I sat there quietly and I noticed that Luke was looking at me but then I looked back at him. The king said, “well this is awkward.” “I have to agree with you on that sir,” I said. Luke looked surprised and I was just bored out of my mind. 

    “So, Mr. Demon king,” I said. But then suddenly I regretted saying that and I was questioning myself why I even said that. I felt like I made a fool of myself. “Yes, my dear?” the king said. “Can you please tell us what we are supposed to do?” Me and Luke asked. “Well for starters you two have to train and choose a side,” the king said. 

    Luke looked and seemed concerned. But I wasn’t even paying attention to what they were even talking about. “So which side do you want to choose?” the king said. “Take me through the dark, we don’t need any light, we’ll live on the dark side,” I said. Luke looked at me with the same expression as the king. “Luna, are you sure?” Luke asked. “Look if the angels wanted us really badly then the queen wouldn’t have even mentioned the king in the first place,” I said. 

   The both of them looked concerned. I looked at the ground and stayed quiet. I knew that I shouldn’t have said that. “Luna, are you ok?” Luke asked. I nodded and then that’s when Luke gave me a hug. The king looked at me and I looked back at him. “Luna, please tell me what’s wrong,” Luke said. “Why?” I asked and hugged back. “Because we don’t want you to be sad,” the king said. I looked at them both. “Please Luna,” Luke said while making the puppy eyes or face.

Fine,” I said. Luke smile but he knew that he was cheering me up. The king got out of his seat. “Can we stay here for tonight?” I asked. The king smiled and then nodded motioning yes. “Thank you,” Luke said. “You both are welcome, but if you ever want to come over or stay here you can,” the king said. “Thank you again sir,” I said while smiling with politeness. 

     The king nodded and asked, “would you like me to show you where the rooms are?” Me and Luke said, “yes please.” We said it at the same time which was weird. “Are you two twins or something?” the king asked. Me and Luke looked at each other and then looked at the king. “We don’t look like we are related and as far as we know we aren’t really related,” me and Luke said once again. The king looked really confused. “Maybe we should play a board game or something,” Luke suggested. 

     The king smiled a little bit. “Why don’t we try to get to know each other; we could play twenty questions,” I said. Both of them looked at me with a confused face. “What’s twenty questions?’ the king asked. “You ask each other a question until you run out of questions to ask,” I said. “Let’s play then,” Luke and the king said at the same time.

    All three of us were having so much fun. Soon night came and the only person who was sleepy was Luke. Me and the king weren’t even tired. The king motioned us to follow him. After so many halls we made it to a two bedroom room. I saw a pretty funny expression on Luke’s face. I think the king wasn’t even trying to laugh too. Luke must’ve been really tired. That’s when Luke looked at us both, he could tell we were trying not to laugh.

   Luke walked into the room and I followed him. In the middle of the room there was a ying-yang. Luke was walking to his bed. Luke layed down on his bed and I put a blanket on him. I yawned a little bit, I sat down nearby the window. I was slowly falling asleep and then that’s when I did my face was on part of the window.

  When morning came I was awake but Luke was asleep. I went over to where Luke was. I tapped his shoulder, “it’s morning, time to get up, rise and shine sleepy head.” Luke woke up and yawned. Luke said, “morning Luna.” I smiled showing that I was really happy. The king was knocking on the door. I walked over to the door and opened it. “Good morning Luna, Luke,” the king said. “Good morning,” me and Luke said at the same time. 

   “Breakfast is ready and also I have some spear clothes for you both,” the king said. I replied with a, “thank you.” “You both are welcome,” the king said. Luke gave the king a nice smile and the King smiled back. The king handed me a t-shirt and ripped blue jeans. I grabbed the clothes and went to get changed. I said, "this was a big up grade from a dress." Luke grabbed his clothes. He had a white t-shirt and blue jeans. I came out of the bathroom and Luke went in to get dressed. The king had a smile on his face. "So why are you happy?" I asked the king. "I'll tell you when Luke gets done getting dressed," the king said.

   Luke came out of the bathroom. “Can you tell me why you are smiling now?” I asked. The king said, “I have a surprise for you both.” My face expression must’ve changed when I heard surprise. The king had a smile on his face. "So why are you happy?" I asked the king. "I'll tell you when Luke gets done getting dressed," the king said. 

  Luke came out of the bathroom. “Can you tell me why you are smiling now?” I asked. The king said, “I have a surprise for you both.” My face expression must’ve changed when I heard surprise. Luke looked confused like normal. The king said, “you have to eat breakfast first and then you’ll see the surprise.” Luke and I nodded in agreement. All three of us started to walk to the dining room. There was a lot of food. 

    Once we got done eating the king said, “ready for your surprise?” Me and Luke nodded. “Ok can the both of you please close your eyes,” the king said. Ma and Luke closed our eyes. The king grabbed the surprise and said, “you can open your eyes now.” Me and Luke opened our eyes. There was a necklace and a bracelet on the table. The king then put a cage on the table. “Go ahead and open it,” the king said. Luke opened it he could tell that I was nervous and scared. When Luke opened it, there was a dog with fur black as night. 

     I looked at the dog and then said, “she’s an adorable puppy.” It was easy to tell that the dog was a female. Me and Luke were smiling. “What’s her name?” Luke asked. The king handed Luke a collar it had the name Darklight on it. “That’s a awesome name,” me and Luke said at the same time. Darklight was barking and wagging her tail. She was really happy. Same with me and Luke, the king said, “ please put your necklace and bracelet on.” He continued to talk, “and be free to explore.” I smiled and put the necklace on. Luke put his bracelet on and the we both said, “ok and thank you.”

  The king smiled and the spoke, “you are welcome my children.” I got up and hugged the king. The king hugged back. Luke must’ve been feeling left out because, he joined the hug. “Is there a place where you can get a perfect view of a sunset and sunrise?” I asked. The king replied with, “yes, but you can’t go there alone.” “Why?” I asked. The king replied with, “because it’s dangerous mainly it’s dangerous because it’s near the most horrible demons in the land.” 

   Luke looked at me and said, “yeah there’s no way that you are gonna go by yourself without any protection.” I sighed and said, “ok but, that doesn’t mean that you can treat me like a little kid.” They both looked at me surprised. “Ok, we won’t treat you like a little kid, but that doesn’t mean we won’t stop treating you like family,” the king said. Luke was nodding in agreement. Darklight was sitting on my lap, she was definitely comfortable. 

   Luke smiled from seeing Darklight so happy.
