"Kara, Honey"

How sweet?

My mom's calling me from downstairs. It's almost 12 pm and I'm still in bed. Of course, I have nothing to do as I'm just 10.

Once I step from bed to floor, there are so many servants ready to serve me, one for bathing, one for dressing, one for makeup and so on.

I'm sure every kid will be jealous of my life.

"What's the matter, Mom?" I said.

She is managing for cooking and then she said "I have special gift for you".

Then she takes me to our garden.

I wonder what Mom wants to give me.

In the garden,

"Mistress, I brought him," our driver,Uncle San said.

Mom: "Great. Here's your pay."

I don't know what they are talking about. But I saw someone hiding behind Uncle San.

Uncle San: "Little boy, this is your new house and you have to serve this famliy."

He is keeping silent and still hiding behind Uncle San.

Mom impatiently grabs that little boy: "Listen, your parents were dead and you are now servant here. You will have to do what we tell. Don't even try to run away. Understand?"

He is still keeping silent.

I can't see him clearly. His dark brown hair is covering half of his face. His whole body is dirty and smells bad. I think he's as the same age as me.

My Mom starts to angry.

Uncle San said "Little boy, they are your new family members. You should be polite to them. Now go tell them your name."

His lips start to move.

" Ethan Symons".

Finally, Uncle left.

Mom: "Ethan, this is my daughter, Kara. From now on, you will be her servant. You have no choice to refuse it."

And then she turns to me :Kara, this is the gift for you. If he doesn't listen to you, beat him to death. He is your toy. Do you like my gift, Kara?"

"Of course," I said. Haha, look at him! So poor. Mom told me that he is my toy. Oh! I like it vey much. Finally, I've got human-toy to play with. I would teach him how to live clean and girly. I think it would be so funny if I dress him like a girl. Haha!!!

"Mom, leave me with this dirty boy," I said.

Mom: "Okay, Sweetie. If you're hungry, come and tell me. I'll leave you. Remember to teach him how to behave in front of adults."

Then she leaves.

Now in my garden, there is only him and I.

I ask him " Why doesn't my Mom like you?"
