“Anna honey,” her mom whispered “You have school today” “Okay” Anna responded, pulling of her bed sheets.putting on a mask and hoodie, Anna grabbed her backpack and left “but your breakfast sweetheart...” her mother’s voice faded. As Anna closed in to school, she took out her cigarettes and lit one, and smashed the empty box with her foot. “ if only I could die...” Anna muttered under her breath as her ex- friend April rounded the corner with her friends/ bully’s laughing at a statement. “ oh, look at the SLUT. Go and jump off a cliff!” “Yeah, run to the roof and jump like in all those gacha studio videos! We won’t care!” Anna can clearly see April is unsure about that statement as her “friends” laugh. “ ha ha... yeah guys.” April says. “ yeah, sure. As long as you admit YOUR the slut.” Anna responds. As she walks away, the bell rings. She made it just in time! “ okay, okay, settle down class. Today we’re learning about the human soul.” “ ummm teacher isn’t that just your opinion?” “ maybe, but I’m still gonna teach you about it because I’m doing it in a persuasive essay so I can still legally do it.” “ I’m not even gonna ask.” “So, the human soul is a fragile thing that can be corrupted by heart break, rage, sadness, and loss.while it can be corrupted, it can also change hugely. Have you ever heard of creepy pastas and urban legends? If so, you might even become one! Once you die, if it was done in a violent way and you seek revenge, you may become one! Boy, would I like that!” “ teacher, that wasn’t a persuasive essay. I don’t even think there is anything on your script. I think you just improvised.” “You caught me! Pleas don’t tell the principal! Class dismissed!” As Anna went to the roof for lunch, she thought about what they said. ‘We won’t care!’ “ if they don’t care, why not do it? It’ll be fun!” So, afterwords, she jumped, but severed between life and death. She was soon found by April and brought to the hospital, where she tipped over to life one last time. When she woke up, she found April by her side, asleep. Poor girl, caring for her depressed friend, will wake up to her friend finally being dead. As Anna walked out of her hospital room she found that she was on the top floor. What an opportunity! “Being dead was so fun! Let’s do it again! And so later that day Anna lee Martin was found dead, white as a button. But later Anna found that what professor was correct. Did he mean to tell that to Anna?

“Anna? Anna! You’re alive! Why’d you jump? Did THEY do this to you? What was it like being dead?” “April?” Anna said. “Yes Anna, it’s me.”April responded sniffing away tear and snot. “Wait, how am I not dead?” Anna asked. “ I really don’t know, but please promise to never do that again.” “Okay, I promise” Anna said as she crossed her fingers. Though April acted normal, her smile looked different but oddly familiar, like a tint of family or the gleam of the devil that had been faded from her memory for many years. “You’re not April,” Anna said sternly “April doesn’t care, she doesn’t look like that, and I definitely didn’t survive” “What? Boy do you catch on quickly. Anyway, her you go.” “Wait, what...” Anna said as she drifted off to sleep. Once Anna woke up, she heard someone calling her name, an unfamiliar voice. “You must be Anna, correct?” said the stranger. “Who are you!” Anna asked, whimpering. “Oh, me? I’m Vicky night. I take care of youngsters like you. Pleasure to meet you. I presume you’re Anna lee?” “Yes, but how do you know me?” Asked Anna. “ I have my ways, don’t question me, if I were you I’d be asking ‘where am I and how did I get here’” Vicky responded. “Now, come meet the others!”
