In the small geographic area, around the west of Odin kingdom,sky city!

The weather was harshly cold and the snow blew violently and dropping on the cold ground forming cluster of ice blocks on the ground making it hard and sharp to walk on.

It was winter season _

Not so many preys have been in the woods lately because of the weather and they had mostly gone into hibernation state.

The most common creatures found were the horned purple beast rabbit that had thick fur and stubble feet and their hind leg for hopping fastly. Their were not easy to catch because of their flexible small body. The horned purple beast rabbit had cold resistance and mostly come out in winter when the predators had gone into hibernation.

To them they considered it safe_the horned beast rabbit have no intelligence at the level 1-5 but they always moved in groups with a higher level leading them.

Lucas who was currently seated on a broken piece of rock and a old dagger covered in a thick dirty cloth on its hilt held weakly on his right hand and the frost under his feet, Lucas was a 12 year old boy with no affinity with any element, he was considered trash in everyone's eyes.

Ever since his affinity test 2 years ago, his no affinity with no element brought disappointment to the orphanage that took him in since he was little.

Yes,He never knew his parents, whether they were dead or alive,not even a message or word,not even a name tablet on him when he was found at the doorstep of the orphanage as a baby.

The punishment didn't even affect Lucas because there was no difference between being punished and not being into punishment since no one cared about him anyway not to even remember to serve him a meal.

He bent down and moved slowly to the unsuspecting horned beast rabbit and held his dagger with all his strength.

Then the horned beast rabbit moved from the grass to where Lucas was and he felt like heaven had finally opened for him.

With a moment of silence and the chewing of the horned beast rabbit, Lucas dashed straight at the horned beast rabbit that seemed startled.

A chance!

Lucas swing his dagger leaving a flash of silver light in the desolate forest and finally killed the rabbit which had it neck sliced open.

Success!

Lucas didn't rejoice but quickly took the rabbit into the sack bag on his waist and went up to the pure lake which was a few kilometers away.

In a place like this, a wanderer that was stronger than him could be headed towards and could surely snatch his efforts away, so it was best to be cautious.

After walking under the snow that had made his dirty face red and his lips quivering in cold which was deadly pale.

He cough violently and spat out a few blood from his mouth and wiped his lips and walked forward.

The slow sound running of water made the frozen woods look peaceful but Lucas knew so well that this was the most dangerous place.

He looked around and found the creature sleeping closely near the lake with it short strong legs resting on the hard ground and it hard scales shimmered under the cold sun.

The black scale crocodile was 3 feet tall and large in width and it length extended through out the shore of the lake.

It wasn't so strange that a predator was out cold in the deep frozen forest since it also had cold resistance like the horned beast rabbit.

The most important is_

This was where the black scaled crocodile resided and it was close to level 23.

And this crocodile had been guarding the water from any living thing that tried to take a fill from it

The water was a pure water that could heal physical wounds and strengthen ones soul, some may even advance to another stage if they had a bath in it instantly,which made it suitable for the black scaled crocodile to live in.

Lucas movement was careful and moved closer to the lake like a thief his small body couldn't compare to one-third of the body of the black scaled crocodile.

Growl~

A small snore escaped the crocodile long mouth and it startled Lucas and he leapt  quietly and a little bit faster.

He had to be quick, he took a small palm sized clean bottle and dip it into the running water and took a considerable amount of pure water and kept it straight into his bag and was about to go when he saw something that caught his eyes.

It was a crystal in the size of a human teenage head that glowed strongly in the lake,thumping with multiple energy and it had strange carvings on it, it was under a thin block of ice.

"This.."Lucas whispered and was slightly startled.

He couldn't get his eyes off it and he quickly checked on the crocodile that twitch a little and he went into the lake and moved closer towards the crystal and the pulsing energy from that made Lucas hesitate a little.

He took the crystal ball out of the frozen part of the lake and cautiously glimpsed at the ball and then saw that the crocodile was about to awaken.

He panicked and threw the head sized ball into his sack bag and hurried out of the lake and tip toed as fast as he could out of the perimeters of the crocodile and ran forward.

The crocodile woke up and saw that what it was guarding had been snatched away by the human it let out a roar that spread across the forest.

Thump! Thump!

Lucas heart was racing seriously, he was so scared that adrenaline spread across his bones and he ran with much energy that was even faster than a human.

The crocodile was closing right on him and his face became ugly once more and panic spread across his face.

"Give me my crystal you hateful human!' the crocodile roared furiously.

Lucas face was drenched in cold sweat and his face was deadly pale, he felt weakness spread from his whole body.

He couldn't hold on anymore.

This was his limit!

His legs were aching and his speed lessened and the crocodile caught up immediately with it huge claw stretched out to slash at him.

_Was this his end?_

Lucas was unwilling to die like this, he hadn't even achieved anything in his life than what he got now and he was about to die because of it.

I don't want to die, I  do you want to die!

Lucas stumbled down a slope and he crashed into a small cave and landed on a hard sharp spike of cold ice which pierced his waist making feel numb and painful.

Lucas gnashed his teeth in pain as his face contorted into agony.

He couldn't scream, because he was scared that the crocodile would find him, he could only bite his arm which later bloodied and his waist which was pierced flowed with blood and his body became more weak and his vision became dark and blurry.

_am going to die like this?_

That was his last thought until he lost consciousness, rather he died

Unknown to Lucas the crystal was had absorbed his blood and it slip out of the bag and rotated while it lifted into the air.

The sky crackled with fierce lightning and the wind blew violently, an ancient aura spread across the entire forest and the ground shook like he was awakening.

The crocodile that was searching for Lucas was startled in fear and ran away back to the lake and hide in a cave whole looking at the strange phenomena in fear and confusion because the power it released was that of a God.

In a secluded place_

An old man who was meditating with his eyes closed and his white hair blowing.

A wave of strong ancient energy spread towards him and he suddenly opened his blue eyes and he coughed up blood.

"Faction leader?" A young man in blue asked in panic.

The faction leader was cultivating and he suddenly coughed up blood.

To him it was a bad omen!

The old man gasped and his heart trembled,and he became startled and surprised.

"What aura was that, it was so terrifying"the old man said with his body Visibly shaking a little.

In the city_

Many people coughed up blood and as they all looked in confusion and fear.

"Hmm"a man in draped in black said and he looked at the frozen forest in bewilderment.

In the forest_

Lucas was floating in the air and so did the crystal ball and the essence in the ball was flowing out into Lucas body and he began to under some changes.

His long black dirty hair gradually became silver and so did his eyebrow and his body fattened up a little bit and the crystal ball slowly lost it essence.

Half a month later..

The topic of the people coughing up blood bad spread and it later died down when they found no traces of it any longer and let the case die down since no one was crippled or badly injured.

At the orphanage_

"I finally got into the early state of core consolidating stage"a young teenager in blue shirt and black trousers sat crossed legged on the bed and he smirked mischievously.

Nanny Jojo was worried about Lucas and her face was wrinkled in worry with a troubled look.

Nanny Jojo went to meet the head of the orphanage who was having a chat with a man.

"Dean, a child has been missing for half a month!"nanny Jojo said.

"If you dont have anything important to say please leave now and take care of the 'important ability users kids" agalon emphasized on the last word and stressed it out like he was implying something then he ignored nanny Jojo and continued his conversation.

The birthday party went on and James was mostly the center of attraction.

"Congratulations! On reaching a new rank, with your age you will definitely enter a good academy!" The head of the orphanage agalon said with admiration.

James smiled and he stood proudly under the envious and jealous gazes.

"Wow I want to be like James! His so cool!"

"he is probably a genius! For him to reach that stage at 13"

"He has a promising future,for him to reach to the stage at his age, he is definitely a genius, I hope to see some surprises from your orphanage"the old man said with a cold expression and smiled coldly.

The old man is named Hugh Hefner, he is one of the teachers of the popular academy, Sky diving academy!.

He was clearly an esteemed guest in the orphanage and the other youngsters were all trying to gain his attention.

"Of course!of course!" Agalon said with a smile.

James was already floating above skies as he enjoyed the envious eyes and smiled proudly.

There was a probability he would be a sky diving academy teacher student with his potentials.

The sky diving academy was the strongest and best popular academy in Odin kingdom. Those who were admitted there were all strong and the leaders were all above elemental master.

In the forest, at the small cave_

The crystal ball had already reduced in size of a finger and it slowly vanished and Lucas hair was which has become long and was now silver and captivating, it was very smooth to touch.

Lucas floating body slowly settled down and after a while Lucas snapped his eyes opened which had a faint golden colour making him look cold and mysterious.

Lucas looked at the dark cave and smelt a very bad smell and went out of the cave.

The bag had a foul smell, it directly came from the horned beast rabbit he killed and Lucas was confused then flood of memories entered his mind.

' I thought I died, I  could feel my soul coming out of my body and suddenly_'

Lucas then search for the crystal ball and found out it was missing.

"No!, I nearly died to get this thing now it was gone!"Lucas almost ran mad and he was burning In fury.

It's gone!,it's gone!,ITS GONE!

Unknown to him he had already absorbed the crystal ball.

Lucas  sat down on the ground and his golden eyes was glowing in anger. He stood up and threw away the rotten horned ****** rabbit after carving out the core and he took out the pure water that was clear and radiated a pure aura of life.

He took the bottle and opened the lid and drank it without hesitation, though it couldn't do anything but it could strengthen his body and cleanse his soul.

He felt his body slowly get cleansed and his eyes glowed again and slowly dimmed, Lucas seemed to have not noticed the changes in his hair and eyes.

Lucas felt like something was reaching his back and he caught,

silver hair?

He traced it and he discovered his hair was silver and long and his emotionless faced twisted in confusion.

' When did he have a long silver hair?'_

Lucas then suddenly became aware of the changes in him and he noticed his mind was more clear and sharp and he could even see things miles away from him.

"This.."

Lucas climbed up the slope with slight difficulty then walked into the forest and rubbed his forehead, he was confused.

How did I not die?_

Lucas stopped when he had a roar coming from afar.

"Oh I almost forgot"Lucas said.

Unknown to Lucas him absorbing the crystal made him undergo changes that he would not feel troubled even in a dangerous situation.

His face was much calmer and colder for a youngster like Lucas.

"Despicable human, I don't know how you are alive but your journey ends with you between my teeth" the black scaled crocodile roared in anger and it dashed forward to the startled silver head youngster.

"So fast!" Lucas calmly watched then he noticed that every he could see things  became in a slow motion.

He quickly dodged the huge mouth that was about to crush his head with his teeth.

"Huh!"the black scaled crocodile was confused when it saw that the measly human dodged it's attack, even with it's speed a level 24 beast couldn't catch on.

"Hmph!, You may have being lucky to dodge that but you shall know the full meaning of angering a level 23 crocodile"the black scaled crocodile added all it power and some dark lightning stricked around it huge body.

The black scale crocodile has entered beserk mode.

"Now let's see how your luck will play in this"

"Not good!"Lucas said and ran for it.

The black scaled crocodile chased after the fleeing Lucas.

Lucas speed doubled and he was surprised, he ran for some minutes and he didn't feel tired then he suddenly caught the glimpse of the crocodile claw and dodged clumsily and turned around.

This time he had to fight against the black scaled crocodile.

He knew his speed was fast but he couldn't outrun a black scale crocodile that specialises in lightning.

He took a fighting stance and bravely faced the black scaled crocodile.

"Kid,I like your brave attitude but it won't save you from being eaten by me" the black scaled crocodile said and made claw offense.

Lucas saw this in slow motion and dodged it and gave a fist punch towards the crocodile black scale.

If he could at least penetrate the scale he could have some hope.

"Huh!"the black scaled crocodile was surprised and it felt some pain on it jaw area.

"This kid actually manage to penetrate my scale!I clearly had underestimated this kid"the black scaled crocodile became solemn.

Lucas was surprised as well but he quick took the chance and brought out his old dagger.

If he could penetrate the black scaled crocodile body then he still had 30% chance of survival.

The problem was that the crocodile was now cautious and it created a defense of dark lightning.

"I admit I underestimated you kid,You may have been able to penetrate my scale but that's doesn't stop me from killing you"the black scaled crocodile roared out and attacked.

Lucas dodged every attack and his movement became more smooth and he

Came up with a strategy and decide to stall for a while until the crocodile was wasted.

Though he got beaten pretty badly with his back dripping with blood and his hand was slashed open but didn't stop him.

Fortunately for Lucas, as he dodge he noticed that the attack was now much slower than before.

Lucas then attacked and smoothly invaded the attack and avoided the dark lightnings.

He threw a devastating blow to the black scaled crocodile head and the crocodile swayed a bit showing that the head was clearly it weakness.

He had some knowledge on them while he frequently snuck into the library in the orphanage.

He took his dagger and slashed everywhere on the hard black scales of the crocodile.

The black scaled crocodile roared in fury and pain and it glared at Lucas.

Lucas penetrated the head of the black scaled crocodile and kick the crocodile in the belly sending it crashing Down.

Who could imagine that a level 22 beast was being beaten up by a 12 year old kid that had no affinity with any element.

Some will never believe it, Lucas looked at the injured black scaled crocodile that was injured with it scales torn up and It body severely injured.

"If I take it core it would probably give be a huge amount of money"Lucas said out and glanced the black scale crocodile that was shivering in fear.

A core of a beast could be sold for 100 terra silver, and plus the claws and fangs which would be a total of 20 terra gold and it could sustain him for weeks.

"Monster, you are a monster!"the black scaled crocodile roared out in fear.

Lucas sneered and ignored the curses of the crocodile.

"Stop! please I will give you anything , my claws anything please don't kill me!"the black scaled crocodile begged.

"Huh!"Lucas was startled.

When did the crocodile turn like this, a black scaled crocodile like this were all known for their proud nature.

He even began to doubt if this was really a black scaled crocodile.

"Too late"Lucas said and pierced the head of the injured crocodile that roared in pain and he carved out the core and the black scaled crocodile collapsed dead.

Lucas was victorious!_

But a rush of fatigue and pain from the injury he sustained stretched across his body and he looked the palm sized core which was black and had a lightning symbol on it.

He suddenly had strange idea and looked the core and decided to try it.

He sat down cross legged near the black scaled crocodile corpse and closed his eyes and entered a meditating state.

His forehead was drenched in cold sweat but his face remained cold.

The core reacted and the lightning was sucked at an unimaginable speed and Lucas opened his eyes.

"I a-actually did it!"Lucas said in disbelief.

He made a small lightning which was silver and a tint of black.

"I have an affinity with the rare lightning ability!"Lucas rejoiced and took the valuables of the crocodile like the claws, fangs and scales and went to the lake and took a bath in the pure water then he saw his full appearance.

His skin was now white and smooth more than a woman, his face had a sharp and cold expression and his face structure was more mature and exquisitely handsome at his young age with his dreamy silver hair and a deep golden eyes.

He couldn't help but sigh, he had been gone from the orphanage and he didn't know how long. He took his dried clothes and wore it and took the black cloak with a hood to hide his appearance.

He found some valuable things around the lake and picked them up.

Energy crystals, blood heart grass, a new weapon which was a bow which was dark and silver in colour which made him wonder where the black scaled crocodile brought this from.

Unfortunately the bow was somehow damaged and Lucas sighed and still took it.

He took all the valuables and went out of the thick wet forest which had grown pasture on the wet ground, the forest was back to it lush green and clean air of nature.

It won't take long before the beast will start wandering around.

Seeing this Lucas was worried because for the winter to have melted meant he had gone for long time.

Hopefully nanny Jojo won't be so worried.

He couldn't help but feel scared a little.

"Y_yes!yes!"the shop owner said immediately.

Lucas brought out the claws and stuffs and the shop owner suddenly exclaimed.

"Black scale crocodile!"the shop owner quickly returned to his original composure but he couldn't hide the shock.

The black scale crocodile was the beast that always wandered in the forest and guarded the pure lake of water that was very rare to find because the crocodile was far too strong.

' I knew it he is definitely from a strong family '.

"How much does this cost in the market?" Lucas asked not fazed about the shop owner shock.

"This cost at least 1000 Terra silver to 20 Terra gold!" the shop owner said making Lucas shocked and startled.

The amount even exceeded his expectations.

The shop owner quickly took the materials and brought out the required amount and Lucas was so happy.

"It feel good to be rich"Lucas walked away from the shop and headed to a weapon shop.

In a corner some people were watching Lucas as he brought out money from his pouch and paid.

"Hey,it seems the trash has made some fortune" a young boy said with a smirk.

"How about we take it, a trash like him doesn't deserve such money, see how he is wasting it"the black hair boy said.

"Right let's take it!"

"He doesn't deserve, maybe he even stole, we could use that to our advantage"

The young boy came to a conclusion and headed with a arrogant look.

The weapon shop owner was a cold looking man and Lucas brought out the bow.

When he took the bow away from the forest he noticed that it was somehow broken. Now he had money he needed to fix and upgrade it.

"How much will it cost?"Lucas asked.

"Around 20 silver"the man said while inspecting the bow.

Lucas brought our 20 silver and and threw it on the table.

The man saw the money and quickly took it and cleared his throat.

"It will take some time for me to finish it, this bow is different from the one made in Odin kingdom from the patterns"the man said.

Lucas wasn't quite bothered but he felt a little troubled .

"How long will it take"Lucas asked.

"I just need a day from this!"the man said and placed the bow gently on the table.

Lucas sighed in relief, fortunately it won't take long.

Lucas was about to leave when the group of troublesome youngster came forward shouting.

"Thief!, He stole our money!" A boy said with a aggrieved look.

"Yes he did I saw him, while we were practicing he ambushed us and stole our fortune"the other boy said in anger.

The market attention was now on Lucas they all looked at him with disgust.

"Hand over how money now, or we will be merciful!"the youngster said.

Lucas turned around and his golden eyes was glowing coldly which startled the group of boys.

Lucas sneered and his eye filled with ridicule.

"What do you mean?"Lucas asked.

The group were hesitant a bit they felt like they were facing an invisible force.

' he just trash, he may have changed his appearance from some treasure '

"Yes you stole our money!"the boy said.

"Ok, tell me how can a trash like me fight an ability user not to talkless of five at once?"Lucas asked.

What Lucas said was reasonable in the eyes of the onlookers and they looked at the youngsters with doubt and ridicule

"You-"

"I saw you stealing how money!"

"This is unreasonable, you can't just frame someone without evidence"Lucas said.

The weapon shop owner who was also doubtful.

The youngsters are really unreasonable and they also had no evidence, They are surely framing him.

"Please I have something to attend to"Lucas walked away from the crowd leaving the dumbfounded youngsters behind.

' since when did that brat become courageous '

The boy stumped his feet in anger and avoided the adult gazes and walked away in shame.

"Stingy brat, he doesn't deserve the money"

"It simple let force him to, what could a trash do, am sure he would gladly give us"

"Wait we can't do that" a boy in black shirt said.

"Impossible!, could he have awaken his abilities"the body said with doubt.

"There is chance he has" the body said with deep gaze within his eyes, he was clearly the wise one in the group.

"Best we don't offend him from now, even I that is in the fifth state of core formation stage felt pressured by him" the boy continued.

Lucas made his way back to the orphanage with his bag filled with resources for him to advance into the first stage.

He saw the orphanage was quite lively and the people were going in and out frequently.

"Oh! Today Is the Dean birthday, that means I have been missing for half a month!"Lucas was shocked but later calmed down and walked past the busy people.

James who was with his friends caught a sight of a hooded figure and his face smiled in malice and ridicule.

"Isn't that Lucas?, I thought he had died" Samson said beside James and smirked.

"Such a loser, he couldn't even kill a horned beast rabbit last hunting season" James said.

"Let go play with him"

Lucas lowered his existence and walked silently past the crowd that didn't even notice him.

The Dean was talking to a cold looking man and Lucas golden eyes glistened coldly.

"Hey it's trash!"Samson said and some people looked at the hooded figure.

Lucas stopped his footsteps "can't I  go away in peace!"

"Trash why don't you come here and lick my feet like you always do!"James said and unleashed his power trying to pressure Lucas.

"Hmm" Hugh Hefner hummed meaning fully and looked at the hooded figure.

Lucas turned around and stared at James has he unleashed his power which surprisingly didn't faze him.

"His strength isn't even half has strong as the black scaled crocodile I  had killed"Lucas murmured.

James was bewildered, ' I basically unleased my power and the trash didn't even go crawling on the floor, what treasure was he holding to be able to resist my aura...no a trash like him doesn't even know what a treasure is '.

"Hmph!, You may be able to withstand my intent but you are still trash"James said as he was about to unleash his fire  power into a ball.

"How about I roast you one more time" James said.

He attack the motionless Lucas and he smirked as the fire ball was about to land on Lucas.

' too scared to move! Ah fool! '

James face twisted in mockery and he smirked while waiting for the desperate screams of Lucas.

The fire moved at an unbelievable speed but to Lucas it was extremely and he dodged it with speed faster than the fire ball.

The fire ball landed on the wall and it left a slight burnt mark.

James affinity was fire and he had learned some fire offense method and was confident in beating the no affinity Lucas to pulp.

What James didn't know was that Lucas specialized in body strengthening and him awakening his affinity had made his speed higher than a core consolidating ability user.

"Impossible! How could he dodge that"James said in bewilderment.

Others too were confused and surprised, they didn't even see when Lucas moved away from the attack.

James stopped under the pressure of a late-stage elemental spirit stage with a struggle and a troubled expression while Lucas expression remained neutral but he still had some struggles because of the gap in the stages.

Lucas faced frowned in disgust at how the Dean addressed as his children.

Sir Hefner stared at Lucas with a little bit of interest, he clearly saw how he dodged the attack.

It was like he predicted it, could he be..it is only the Charlotte family that have that ability and they are very powerful, they also had a few members that could predict their enemy attack.

Sir Hefner gaze was intense and he ignored the terrified agalon, his cold eyes rippled a little bit then went cold.

Lucas was about to leave when he heard a voice.

Lucas stared at sir Hefner and his eyes glowed faintly and mysteriously.

"Will you be my personal student?" The question sir Hefner asked shocked the entire crowd.

Personal student!

A mere trash!

James was infuriated and unwilling, he was clearly better than Lucas in all aspects and Lucas didn't even have an affinity with any element,how could he become a sky diving academy teacher student.

Lucas was speechless, he was attacked from the James and he was now being asked if he could be a sky diving academy teacher student.

"Am sorry sir... Hefner but I would have to decline, I would rather prefer participating in the competition and earn my position"Lucas said and shocked the entire crowd.

The whispering of the crowd was filled with resentment and Lucas still remained calm.

James was somehow relieved and smiled in mockery.

Lucas walked away from the crowd and headed to his room which was the basement which consisted of a bed and a small table and chair, there was a rough rug underneath his feet and a cotton draped on the only window that was beside the bed.

Lucas changes in his eyes and hair had been seen by some youngsters in the orphanage which made him the topic in the orphanage.

Even some people who were present at the party were all curious.

"Had the trash awakened his ability? but I have never seen such awakening that changes the appearance"Agalon said in disbelief and pondered

Lucas was seated cross legged on the hard rug and the resources he bought was placed beside him.

"Let's start with energy Crystals"Lucas murmured.

The crystal was a palm sized spherical shape and it glowed orange. The pulsing energy was not that strong as a high tier crystal, he could only afford a low tier crystal and he needed to save money.

Lucas closed his eyes and tried to connect with his soul dimension, after a long time he caught a small ball with strange markings on the body, the ball was spinning rapidly.

"This..!"Lucas was dumbfounded.

" Isn't this the strange crystal I saw in the forest that almost killed,what is it doing here?" Lucas moved closer the ball.

And the power pressure released from it made Lucas surprised.

The ball had a lightning symbol on the corner with a colour of lightning which was blue and a dark lightning followed it.

"Could it be..?"Lucas thought.

Well he didn't have time to waste and he directly absorb the crystal energy and the lightning power strengthen.

Blue black Lightning snaked around his body and a suffocating pressure contained the room.

Lucas was excited and took another crystal and absorbed and the lightning became stronger and the crystal absorbed the energy.

"Eh!, I thought so, this crystal ball seems to be my core but it isn't my core at the same time, like am only using a tiny bit of it power"Lucas thought.

"Because of this I may likely form two cores which is good but would be troublesome at the same time".

Lucas went out of the room and decided to look for nanny Jojo.

The birthday party was still ongoing since it was just afternoon and the party was suppose to end by evening.

He heard that sir Hefner had left the party for some reasons but he wasn't bothered.

Avoiding the stares of the people, Lucas walked silently and spotted nanny Jojo who was currently holding a handkerchief and wiping her face.

Nanny Jojo is a middle age lady who had a beautiful red hair and a vibrant green

Eyes and her face was slightly wrinkled due to stress. This was the person Lucas considered as his mother.

Nanny Jojo saw Lucas who had changed with his standing out silver hair flowing on his shoulders and his eyes were faint golden.

She gasp in shock and suprise but her face showed a hint of anger.

"You brat where did you go to all this past weeks?, I was worried!"nanny Jojo said with evident fear and worry but she raised her voice a little in anger.

"I-"

"Did you know how long I had been looking for you?!" Nanny Jojo said.

"Nanny Jojo, am sorry for making you worry but as for the reaaon, it will be nice if I talk to you privately"Lucas said looking at the people around.

Nanny Jojo looked at Lucas for a while and gestured fro Lucas to follow her.

They entered the general kitchen which was free of people but the noise outside remained.

"It happened like this-"

Lucas told nanny Jojo everything that had happened to him from the punishment to the time he almost got killed.

"Oh my goodness, am sorry Lucas..this must have been tough for you!"nanny Jojo said with affection.

"At least I gained by awakening my ability"Lucas shrugged.

"But that doesn't really explain that strange Crystal found in your body, and do not disclose this to anyone, I don't know if it is a coincidence but some big faction came over, I even heard that one of them was close to an elemental lord, they came looking for something"Nanny Jojo said in a lowered tone with seriousness.

At the orphanage_

Lucas walked out of his room with satisfaction.

He was already in sixth stage of core formation!

The library consisted of three floors and each are based on the level of importance of a person.

The third floor had the highest level techniques and it was strictly prohibited only few VIP,only the influentialfamily could even catch a glimpse of it.

Lucas went to the lady who sat behind a counter and deciphering something that had strange languages.

The lady was so immersed in it that she didn't notice the approaching Lucas with hood covering his eye catching hair colour.

The lady had blue hair tied behind her and a slender golden rimmed glasses which couldn't cover her striking purple eyes which was cold, she could be referred as a cold beauty.

"Hello!"Lucas said trying to draw the attention of the lady who carried a serious expression.

"Who?"the lady said grumpily and reluctantly diverted her attention to the teenage boy before her.

"Am here to register for a identification card"Lucas inquired.

The lady scrutinized Lucas appearance which brought a little interest when she saw his golden eyes. And the strands of silver hair didn't go unnoticed.

"Oh! Ok, I hope you know that a common identification card cost 10,000terra bronze, the middle class is 10,000 terra silver and the highest is 20,000terra gold.. which one do you want to apply for?"the lady questioned.

Lucas swallowed at the last price which was the highest.

' damn! When I thought I had a little bit money to get to middle class, I guess I will have to settle for less'

"The common one is better"Lucas dropped 10 terra silver which is 10,000 terra bronze in total and the lady shoved it in a box and locked it with a complicated array.

She went away for a while and brought back a hard card that was carved with a beautiful insignia on it with was in the colour of bronze, it shimmered under the light.

It regenerates after 24 hours,beware this can't be misplaced because one cannot register the second time"lady said with a serious expression.

Lucas nodded in satisfaction, at least he have to pay for the points and he headed to the first floor which had some guards at the entrance.

After showing his card he made his way into the first floor which had many teenager younger and older than him.

The books were arranged in massive shelves which are arranged in a orderly  manner.

A glowing orb was found at the center of the shelves which was the system to collect the points for each book one collects.

No one could steal because the books all contained arrays and detector that would activate the minute a book is stolen.

Lucas walked past a lonely youth who had a platinum hair and black chasm like eyes, his looks were average but still eye catching, he had a air of playfulness as his aura didn't seem to fit his surroundings.

Lucas hooded blew away from an unknown wind and his silver hair danced around making the people in the area captivated.

Lucas golden eyes burned with slight fury.

"That bastard"Lucas mumured and glared at the platinum hair boy coldly which startled the youth.

The boy was Jordan,someone Lucas  met some years back.

The encounter was unpleasant to remember.

Jordan smiled helplessly and his eyes curved.

"Hey bro!, I didn't expect to see you here!"Jordan said rather lively with much enthusiasm.

The other people looked at Jordan and some snorted as how he yelled.

Lucas almost face palmed himself, what bad luck! To meet this trouble seeking teenager.

The time they met he was still the frail youth with no affinity and Jordan who had gotten into trouble met him on the way when he was chased.

The youth Jordan was a young member of a big family and something strange happened and he got into trouble that involved Lucas.

That day he almost lost his poor miserable life after almost being blasted to death by a ability user.

Lucas covered his head with the hood and ignored the enthusiastic youth and walked away. Right! he didn't want to indulge in the past and reply to the troublesome youth.

"Hey! wait!, I couldn't ask your name at that time, my name is-"

"Noisy"Lucas was annoyed and his cold face was straight and his golden eyes glowed making Jordan shiver.

"Bro wait! Can't you just listen to me first!"Jordan said with a pleading gaze.

Lucas face remained blank and he took a deep breath.

"I appreciate your honesty....we will talk about the compensation later..right now am busy"Lucas said and was about to leave when Jordan grabbed his hand.

Lucas raised his eyebrow and stared at Jordan with impatience.

"Since you agreed to receive compensation, then let's be friends!"Jordan said brightly and he puffed his chest with an arrogant expression.

"No!"Lucas said ruthlessly shattering every happiness in the enthusiastic youth.

Lucas coldly walked away through the path of the space between each shelves.

Jordan sighed in his heart, he had slightly knew that he couldn't just easily deal with someone like Lucas through words but he was somehow disappointed. He never knew Lucas will be a tough nut to crack.

Lucas eyes darted to every book while he walked slowly.

Something caught his eye, it was a black book with no character on it.

Lucas took the book and felt a weird feeling coming from it, his eyes squinted and observed the unknown book.

"What kind of book is this?"Lucas thought and opened it and found out it was blank as a sheet of paper.

No ink,No faded writing, no secret inscription, absolutely nothing!

"What is a blank book doing in a library?"Lucas was confused.

Lucas wanted to place it back but he noticed something.

The book was stuck on his hand!

He tried prying it open but it didn't bulge it was still glued to his hand like a gum.

"What the?"Lucas was surprised and stared at the book once again with cotempt.

He sighed in frustration and held the glued book in his hand.

"Was this book special? or it just had the habit of glueing to people hands?".

Lucas scaled through some books swiping the sheet of papers with difficulty. He tried to memorize as much as possible.

After the transformation from the strange crystal, Lucas mental capacity was now broadened that he could memorize an entire book In few minutes without breaking a sweat.

Lucas went to the glowing orb situated at the center which was floating mysteriously at the center,about 2 meters above the ground.

Lucas brought out his card which he had done the minor procedure as instructed by sending a wisp of essence into the card  and the card glowed and displayed a total number of 100 points, lucas took out the book and used the emblem that shimmered at the back of the book to be scanned by the floating orb.

"Don't you have something to do than causing trouble?"Lucas asked.

"Making trouble is my speciality " Jordan said with a mischievous look.

Lucas looked at Jordan and walked ahead while Jordan Hastily walked beside him.

"Hey which family are you from?, my name's Jordan.... Jordan Beltran, what is yours?"Jordan said.

"Lucas" Lucas said blandly with a blank expression.

"Just... Lucas?every one that I know of has a surname—like jolly rancher, Alex grill blah blah"Jordan said and tried to probe into Lucas, to him he felt like Lucas just didn't trust him enough to give his surname.

Lucas kept quiet and his lips curved slightly with a bitter smile,he walked out of the library, he knew so well why he didn't have a surname, because he was never had one since he was found abandoned as a baby with no name.

The grill family is a famous family in sky city,Lucas had always hated that family because of their arrogant and domineering manner of controlling things.

Lucas went to the weapon shop with Jordan followed beside him and found the same man who was doing something with a strange looking iron.

"Sir" Lucas said.

The man who was absentminded looked at the golden eyed youth and he smiled slightly.

"Young master,the lightning bow has been upgraded and repaired"the man said and hurriedly moved to a corner and brought out a long box and dropped it on the wooden table.

he opened it, the lightning bow which was now mostly silver and a rune of black majestically carved on it, the bow shimmered under the light.

Lucas nodded in satisfaction and observed or carefully he could feel the lightning element more boldly now.

"The lightning bow is quite impressive and rare, it has a special arrow to it but since there was none you delivered, I decided to add some special function to it, you only need to infuse your lightning essence and it will shape into a arrow and also the strength of the arrow depends on it user" the man said looking at the arrow with pride evident, this was a work of art indeed.

Lucas smiled slightly and took the bow with his free hand and inspected the runes.

"A map?for what?"Lucas frowned and stared at the map which had a kind of mysterious aura around it.

"This a the map to the mystic forest, I heard it has a lot of treasures,the chaos mystic legacy is going to appear, everyone are preparing for it, but only elites like me have this rare map eh eh!"Jordan laughed maniacally while fantasizing on the treasures.

"How does that even concern me with this map?is this the compensation?"Lucas said with one of his eyebrow raised.

"Of course, can't you imagine if one get a treasure from there, maybe a elixir that could boost my cultivation,all we need to do is participate"Jordan said kicked a pebble on the road.

A boy who had a brown curly hair,blue eyes and a frail structure with a sturdy glasses that didn't fit well with his small face which made the glasses to cover half of his cheek than his eyes.

"L...Lucas d..dean s..aid I should call you to t..the training grounds"the boy said gazing at the floor and ran away after speaking.

Lucas stared in bewilderment.

Training? But how did the Dean know he was now a ability user. Untill some minutes did Lucas face palm himself and remembered his changed demeanor and his strange hair and eye color.

Lucas went to the training ground which had a big platform and series of weapons arranged accordingly.

The instructor which was a blue haired man with a deep green eyes which had a  very sharp gaze and wise look, he was demonstrating a lot of fighting style and strategies.

This man was sir Gerald LeVert and he is a wise teacher and deadly strict one of the people Lucas admired.

When Lucas came around his hooded figure attracted the others, some who recognized him whispered among themselves and kept pointing at him.

Lucas sensed that all of them were either two or three stages higher than him,it didn't make him feel the slight discomfort but made his fight spirit burning intensely.

"Isn't that the cripple that dodged James powerful attack yesterday?"

"Impossible,James attack is very powerful, how could a cripple like him dodge that!"

"Yeah true! Maybe it was just luck, I heard the Dean interrupted became of a skydiving guest!"

"Awesome, a skydiving guest my dream academy,that is why am working so hard to make it in the competition"

James watched Lucas has his face twisted and anger was evident, no one had ever broken the record of blocking his attack except for this hypocrite.

Despite the hostility brewing from everyside Lucas walked without care and went to meet the instructor.

"Good day instructor Gerald, the Dean called me to participate in the training"Lucas said respectfully.

Instructor Gerald looked at the hooded youth and his strict sharp eyes somehow brewed with slight interest.

"Interesting indeed!,such a calm demeanor and bold character can not be traded for anything"

The instructor thought deeply, many youths who had talked to him had either gotten flustered from fear or would bow their head from the pressure of merely looking at him.

"Since the Dean has instructed, we need to take a test on your grade to be able to know which category you are in and your element type also" the man said expressionlessly.

Some people in the training ground were interested in their conversation and stared secretly at them.

He brought a black ball which was of unknown substance out of thin air which showed he had a storage ring also.

"Place your hand on this and try sending a wisp of your essence and the ball will do the rest"the man said and Lucas complied obedient and placed his hands on the ball before the anticipating eyes of the people.

Lucas sent a silver wisp which represented lightning element,but while doing that he completely unaware of the brown coloured wisp that followed and the ball began to lit up and it showed the true grade of his element.
