The flowers bloomed as she was in the hospital. The birds chirped as if they were in a fight.. You may wonder, Why was she in the hospital? Let's get into it.

It all starts with a young blonde girl.

"Daddy? Where is Mommy?" The child asked.

The father breathed in and out before responding with an angered tone. "She is gone because of you!". The girl flinched."b-but dad.. I didn't do any-". Before she could finish her sentence, she felt a warm sensation on her face. She was slapped from her own father.

"H-how dare you say you didn't do anything?!" You're a disgrace! You killed your own mother!". He yelled in a fierce tone. But it didn't stop.

He grabbed her small wrist. He hit her again and again. Slap after Slap. A couple of minutes felt like hours. "D-ad." He stopped and glared at this small child. Her face swollen from the slaps. He left the small child. She started crying for her mother. "Mo-m why must you l-leave me?" She hiccups every couple of seconds. "Please come back!." She pleaded.

Eventually, she falls asleep on the cold floor.

She woke up to be put inside a hospital bed.

The doctor had walked in. "We have some news, Scarlett, just some minor bruising.." *he looks her up and down* "Use this medicine to heal it, " He said in a disgusted tone. She starts to zone out. (Why must everyone hate me..? I didn't do anything! Maybe father was right. I am a disgrace.) She slaps herself "NO I MUST NO THINK LIKE THAT!" She yells. "So you seem fine." A familiar voice. "Dad?" She says in a whisper. She starts to smile.

"I only brought you here because that's what your mother wanted. Don't think like you're special or anything."Oh." She says back in an upset tone. "Well, I've come here to tell that you have an adopted sister."

"huh". "Yes. Her name is Hazel." "dad? why?" She asks in a sad tone. "Ha? she's here to fix your lazy a**" He snarled at her. She couldn't believe it? He thinks she's lazy? She's the one who has staight As, Cleans the house as if she's the nanny, and cooks for him just to deal with his attitude. "Is there anything else you need.?" She asked in an angry tone. "No," He said back.

The father leaves Scarlett. She started sobbing. (Is everything I do to get your attention not enough? Is it just a waste?)

She stops. No, I must not think like this! I'm still his child. He wouldn't replace me like that!

A couple of days later, a bright sunny day. Her bruising is nowhere to be seen. Then, all of a sudden. Bang! Bang! Bang! Big hudge knocks.

She sighs and then replies

"Don't you have your child to clean? I'm not your nanny."

"What. Did you just say?" He goes in for a smack, but then.

"Stop!." a brunette screams. "Hazel?"

"Father! She didn't do anything. Please stop!".

He puts his hand down. "Darling, it's nothing you should worry about.!" He says softly.

Scarlett stares blankly, Puzzled of who just came in. Then she thinks (Oh! My sister!)

Hazel walks up to her. "Hello! I'm Hazel, your new sister!" She grinned. "Oh! I'm Scarlett, " She responded. (She seems nice. Hopefully, this isn't like every mangatoon novel.)

"Ahem, now Scarlett, get to cleaning. I'll bring your sister out shopping." He demanded

she sighs. "Yes.." They walk out of her room.

She thinks (Ya'know maybe having a sister isn't that bad!) While she thinks she puts her earbuds on and starts cleaning.

4 hours later, they get back. "Scarlett! Grab your sister bags!". She hurried down. "Uh? where do I put it?" In your room, she will be living there now on,"

"What?" She thinks (how could he do this to me..? I'm his child too. We have so many rooms. So why mine.?). She sighs and grabs her bags. Nor even taking a glance at her father.

The father was left shocked by her cold behavior and thinks (Did I do something?)

While he hasn't noticed his unfair favoritism, His daughters have. Hazel walks to Scarlett and asks her a question. " Are you okay?".

This question threw her off. (Huh? Isn't she supposed to hate me? Everyone hates me. Why should she like me?) Before she realizes it, tears fall. Hazel ran to hug her. Scarlett starts sobbing, saying, "Why! why must everyone hate me!"

Hazel responded, " No one hates you. I just met you, but you seem nice and caring! I want to live and love you as my sister, not a stranger." She starts rubbing circles around her to calm her down. Hazel starts to tear up at the sight of seeing Scarlett like this. Scarlett starts to freak out. (What if father sees her crying?? He'll yell at me). At that very moment, she moves from Hazel. "How dare you push her!". Their father had entered her room after being unable to find Hazel.

Hazel starts crying after seeing their father yelling at Scarlett. "Father!". She hurried over to Scarlett. "Dad! She didn't hurt me. I just got too personal !".
