Ryu sat in his chair while staring outside the window. Kai came up to him and nudge him.
Kai
It seems our class will have a new transfer student.
Ryu
At the almost end of semester? That's rare.
Kai
I know right. They should be transfer at the beginning of the year. I wonder if they could catch up with our school's system of education.
Kai
Well, I heard they came from an average school.
Ryu
The fact that he or she could transfer here is the proof that they must be smart.

Kai

The homeroom teacher arrived. All the students started to sit in their place. The teacher stood in front of them and cleared her throat.

The students replied 'ok' altogether.
The transfer student got in and stood in front of the class.

Good morning everyone. My name is Akira and I'll be studying here from now on. Please take care of me.
She smiled lightly. The class was in chaos. All the girls started to squeal because of Akira's looks and the boys especially Kai groaned because they were expecting a pretty girl to transfer into their class.
Ryu couldn't believe his eyes. He started to wonder if he's dreaming right now.

Handsome but also pretty tall girl. She has a charming and cool aura. Her style is always quite cool and manly despite being a girl. People always mistake her as a boy because of the way she dresses herself.
He is considered as one of the princes of high school. He is handsome, smart and a popular guy of the school. He always looks serious but not when he's with akira.
The other prince of the school. He is a flower boy and always use his look to get closer with girls. In short, he's a playboy. He's not that smart but Ryu always helps him to get average score for every exams.

The school bell rang. All of the students started to dismiss to have a break while Akira was still sleeping on her desk. She rest her head on her arm while not giving a care about her surrounding.
Ryu whispered softly in her ear. However, Akira was still not budging and sleeping soundly.
Kai
Just forget about her, Ryu. Let's go to the cafeteria first. I'm su~per hungry right now.
Ryu
You go ahead. I will wait for Akira.
Kai walked away while mumbling to himself.
Kai
Akira. Akira. What's so special about her? Since she came here, Ryu just won't stop caring about her.
Kai
Does he not care about his cousin anymore?
Ryu kept calling Akira while patting softly on her back.
Akira opened her eyes and sat up.
Akira
Class is already over?
Ryu
Yeah. It's recess time now.
She said while rubbing her eyes.

You slept through the whole class. I saw Miss Kim was a little bit upset because of you. Usually, she would not let it slide. I guess it's because you're still new here.
Akira

Ryu
That you're in front of me and studying in the same class at the same high school.
Akira
Well, I came here because of my childhood promise.
Ryu

Akira smiled. She remembered the promise they made before they were separated when they were 9 years old. How could she not? It may sound like stupid childhood promise. However, only both of them know how much it meant to each other.
Ryu
Oh yeah. I forgot to ask you something. Since you are always surrounded by people since your first day, I never got the chance to ask you.
Ryu
How are your parents? And what are your brother and sister doing now? Are they doing well?
Akira
... Yes, they are well now. They are living far away from here.
Ryu
You live alone then? That's cool. Where do they live now?
Akira
Ryu, I think you better start going. The break is almost over.
Ryu
Oh shoot. You're right. Are you coming?
Akira
...No. You go ahead. I will just stay in the class.
Ryu
Ok. Want me to buy you something?
Akira

Ryu nodded. After that, he walked out of the class. Akira combed through her hair with her fingers. She heavily sighed.
