Until The Last

I'm on my way to clinic when I saw that girl again. Does she even have friends? I keep seeing her alone. She's even walking with her head down. Is she anti-social? I don't know what I'm thinking but I just found myself in front of her.

She bumped into me. Then she looked at me. She's probably 5'5 and I'm 6ft.

"Hey.." ,

I don't know but that's the first word I said to her. Probably the most stupid, word.

She blinks. "H-Huh?" she asked. Then suddenly her eyes widened when she saw me.

What?

She stepped back then ran, faster.

"What the hell is wrong with her?!"

"Hey, Mav. Do you know the girl who got the perfect score in our English subject?" I looked at him boredly. Does he still don't know I don't have interest in my acads? Why would I even know who's that girl she's talking about?

"Nope. Does it necessary to know?" I boredly asked him. He's been my best bud ever since I can remember. We're Grade 10 students here in South High.

"Man! She has the best brain! And probably has the best ***." One thing is for sure, this guy really like to play with girls. He's been like this.

"Then go kiss her ***."

"Flavor of the week, huh?" jeez. This guy, can seriously **** all the girls here in our campus. Last week, he date's our school principal's granddaughter, and now he's flirting with Angel, captain ball of the school's volleyball team.

He smiled, in a maniac way. Tss. "Nah. Y'know Cristines' no fun! I can't even stole a kiss from her. Damn. But, Angel's here so. Hahaha," so when will this guy get tired fucking all the girls?

"Whatever. Just use protection a'right?" I said and pack my things. We just finished our lunch. Shit, my head hurts. Damn bad.

"We are you going?" He asked.

I stood up. "Clinic. My head hurts like shit." This is bad. "Oh, okay. Just going to wait fo Angel. Hahaha" I sighed.

After the afternoon classes, Kevin and I went to the soccer field to play of course, soccer. We're in school soccer team. Every day, we're just going to play soccer. Even weekends. Soccer is life.

Oppsss.. I kicked the ball too hard that it goes to the other side of the field and then.. It hited a person— a girl specifically! I run as fast as I could to get closer to her. Shit!

Then it hit me a moment... It hited that girl. Why all of students here in the campus? But shit, I think she's hurt so damn bad! I kneeled in front of here, her hands on her head.

I checked her head first, "Hey, y'alright?" I asked. Man, I think I hit her so bad. Her eyes are even closed! But seconds she still didn't replied I just decided to carry her to the clinic.

When we arrived, the school nurse rushed towards us and started checking her as I explained everything. She told me to carry her to the available clinic bed, she also told me to wait outside then closed the curtain.

I keep facing back and forth, forth and back! I don't know why am I this nervous?! It's not like it's my first time to hit a person with a soccer ball! But this time is.. Different

Then the door slammed. It was Kev. "Man, why are you still here?" he asked, "Can't you see I just hited a girl? I can't just leave her here like there's nothing happened." I replied. "Huh? But coach's waiting for you! He's going to kill me if I go back to the field without you,"

"Then go suicide now."

"She's fine now. It's just that the ball's impact it's her head, hard. But, if you insist you can just get her an X-Ray scan," the nurse explain. Maybe, she's right. Get her an X-Ray scan, "Oh, okay. So can I go to her already?" I asked the nurse. Then she looked at me and smile, she also handled me a prescription, "Of course. Here's also a medecine she have to take," My eyes widened! I though there's nothing to worry about why all of— "Hahaha. Don't worry, as I checked her temperature, she has a fever. Next time, just be careful kicking a ball, because if you don't I might kick your ball," then she laughed. That's not funny anyway. I just said thank you then go to that girl.

She's already awake. But she's looking down. Weird.. I sited on the chair next to her bed, "Umm, are you okay now?" I asked her. She nodded. She's playing with her fingers.

"Hey, hey where do you think you're going?" I calmly asked her she is getting off to her bed. But she didn't answer me, "Hey!" Goodness! She started walking away! What's her problem anyway?! The last time I saw her she alro ran away. Is this girl form Mars?

I fasten my steps to follow her, "Hey, Miss!" but she just fasten her steps! What the hell? She leave me no choice but to grabbed her wrist.

"Why do you keep walking away from me?" I couldn't help but to asked her. She faced me then looked at my hand on her wrist, I slowly let go of it, "Oh, sorry. Look, I just want to check you. I mean— I hurt you— with a freaking soccer ball!" Jesus, why I am in the middle of the school ground with this girl? Because practically, whenever I hit a person with a soccer ball, I'm just going to say a simple, sorry... But with this girl— I don't know why am I even wasting my time to check if she's really okay!

Then finally, she looked at me, "I'm okay.." she said with a slow voice? "...and thank you for carrying me to the clinic," Huh? Oh.. "It's okay. My fault anyway besides the nurse also gave me a— Hey!" She's about to fall! Right, she has a fever! Why would the nurse let us out?! Oh.. Because this girl just ran away! I guided her to the bench. I sat next to her then grabbed my phone

Calling Kev...

It took him almost a second to answer, "What? After leaving me dumbfounded—"

"Come to bench 4. Now." I said then end the call. I looked at her. Her head's resting on the bench while her eyes closed. I was about to touch her forehead when Kevin arrived, "What now, man? Y'know coach will really kill me if— Oh! Who's this girl you're with?" I just ignored his question then stand up, "Stay here with her. I'm just going to buy something,"

"What?! Why? I just made an alibi to coach beacuse I thought you we're in trouble— Fine! Fine.." He finally agreed because I eyed him, "Just.. Keep an eye on her, I'll be quick," I said then run as fast as I could. I grabbed my key then went inside my car. I'm going to the mall near to our school. To buy her freaking medicine! Seriously, why am I doing this?...

It was just fifteen minutes drive. I immediately park my car to the mall's parking area.

As soon as I reached the pharmacy I quickly handled the prescription to the pharmacist, "Is that all, Sir?" She asked.. Oh! "Umm a bottled water also, please,"

After I parked my car, I quickly went to Kev and to that girl. Kevin's boredly sitting and finally that girl is awake!

"Hey," I sit next to her, Kevin's on her right side, "Here's you're medicine, take it now," then handled her medecine and water, but she just stared at it.. "C'mon. I putted all my efforts to went to the mall just to bought you that," I almost said in a pleading voice. I just couldn't take it. Her head's hard, I'm just really.. tired. Finally. I was about to talk when I see Kev staring at us, "Aren't you going to go back to the field?" I asked him. He stared at me boredly, "Man.. The practice's done!" Ohh.. Right. I saw my fellow players going to the gym.. probably to take a shower, "So.. Are you gonna come with me?" Kev asked. Then I look to this girl beside me, if I go with Kev this girl might fall again so, "Nope. Just going to wait for you here. Be quick!" I just can't leave her here,

"Seriously, Mav?"
