Maybe today won't be so bad. That's what she thought but fell into despair when she looked at the photo she took of herself. She wanted to look good today, She wanted to feel good about herself for a moment without feeling insecure of her flaws.
But she guessed things will never go well for her. She hated the picture she stared at. She hates how pale and lifeless her skin looked, she hates the way her obsidian locks fell on her face. The tint on her lips wasn't enough for her, she thought. She felt the need to put on loads of foundations but due to her skin be being sensitive she was denied of doing face makeup from her dermatologist.
She loved how the girls in her neighborhood did their makeup, roam around all dolled up. Guys would throw themselves on them and Althea herself would stand their unnoticed. She knew she can never be that kind of pretty, she will never be the girl guys would be lucky to have, but always the girl anyone could have.
No one called her beautiful or sexy or hot. Cute was the word they used to describe her. And she hated nothing more than the word "cute" her whole life.
She got rid of her phone putting it aside and when she glanced back at the mirror her eyes filled to the brim with warm tears.
For some time she forgot that Daddy Yankee was playing loud in the club.
she spent an hour doing her hair and putting herself into the little black dress. But seemed like their efforts went into vain.
A long teardrop rolled down to her cheek from her eyes wetting her appearance. Althea's pretty, and she inherits the best features from her parents and ancestors. But she never really appreciated them, maybe the society never let her accept herself.
She was taller from their girls of her age, she had big green Bambi eyes poets would write for, plump cherry lips and brownish freckles dispersed on her cheeks. Her long obsidian hair reached down to her slender waist.
She can't even recall the last time she felt good or appreciated herself. She grew thinner in the last two years, not the kind of thin she ever wanted to be. Furthermore, she felt jealous of the girls with the hourglass bodies and her self-confidence broke when she got to know about the Kardashian- Jenners.
The Meadows are quite famous in UK. The brave stories about her Father are told to everyone.
She wiped the tear off her cheek and smiled bitterly.
Noel Bridger
cute little cutie me.
She pulled out a thin cigarette from the new packet of her favorite brand and wasted no time to light it up.
She put it between her lips and she released out a plenty amount of smoke from her mouth with her eyes never leaving her "ugly" reflection.
Furthermore, she was busy hating herself until she heard a female voice inside the bathroom. she paused herself from washing her hands and looked at her.
"you're really pretty you know that?"
It was a young girl whom Althea knew from middle school. She was honest when she complimented her and the dress hugged her slender waist perfectly.
Blood rushed in Althea's cheeks and unknowingly her lips curled into a subtle yet a genuine smile when the maid complimented her.
Althea loved to be complemented by pretty women. Well which girl doesn't?
But the self-image she had made of her herself says that the girl must be lying because she doesn't want death meet her soon.
Without saying anything she barged out of the restroom and looked at the scene in front of her eyes. The club was full of people of color.
The club buzzed with loud music and a couple of teenagers dancing around with drinks in their hands. Many people made out in the corners.
Althea found a blonde girl with really big b*reasts swaying her ass around two men. Four hands running lustfully around her body.
Althea was struggling to walk, and she stumbled upon many boys unknowingly. She cursed herself for drowning herself in too much liquor.
She slipped on her heels many times, and finally she reached near the bar counter and sat down on a chair and ran her fingers through her messed up hair.
She thought taking a pause from everyone would be better. Furthermore, she reached out for a bottle and gulped water down her throat.
Sabrina Chemola
Thea? you okay?
A feminine voice hit her ears and she looked around to see a woman sitting in front of her with a glass of drink in her hand.
It was Margot, a girl from her neighborhood. She owned a boutique.
Margot found Althea in a terrible condition. She was clearly drunk and Margot feared that maybe she was high too.
Noel Bridger
Hey, Margot. I am fine.
She replied in an exhausted tone and wiped the sweat beads from her face. Margot squinted her eyes and spoke.
Sabrina Chemola
Yeah, you smell fine.
sarcasm was clearly evident in Margot's word and Althea rolled her eyes.
Sabrina Chemola
Don't tell me Thea you're doing drugs again. You do remember what happened to you years ago right? Does Mr and Mrs. Meadows know you're here? This place is dangerous for you, you shouldn't be here.
Margot busted into anger and adding gasoline to Althea's frustration. She shrugged her shoulders and argued back.
She is sensitive whenever someone brings up the topic of drugs. she did regret the things she did two years ago but what to do that damage was already done.
And moreover Althea was never fond of Margot. Margot was the perfect daughter she could never be. She was successful and clearly Althea wasn't. And furthermore Margot acted like a mother near Althea as if she is still 5.
Noel Bridger
shut up Margot. You're not my mother. I am with my friends stop caring about me. And if this place is so dangerous to you then why are you here Margot?
Sabrina Chemola
Stop with your stoner talk. I am here because I am an adult and I am waiting for Cam. I don't need a child questioning me.
The argument was heated, only if Margot wasn't older Althea would have smashed her head on the wall. But something attract her eyes and she cursed in her breath.
Noel Bridger
F*ck, I am toast.
She saw her death coming, it was her father standing near the entry gate of the club still in his police uniform watching Althea from afar. He was clearly pissed and his lips were curled in a bitter smile.
It's not like she is scared of her parents or they don't have a good relationship. She was princess of the family. What she really feared was the scolding she will get after reaching home.
Sabrina Chemola
Ofcourse you're.
Margot chuckled when she noticed Mr. Meadows. Althea rolled her eyes at Margot and walked towards her Father reluctant.
Althea could see the anger in her father's eyes but he looked very concerned. The nerves in his head were popping out and his face was red.
Declane Meadows
You're so grounded!

When love crosses its limits, it becomes devotion.
and when devotion goes astray it becomes madness.
Love is about truth, intensity and passion
But it also has one more element.
Something which has not featured in any tale so far.
No matter how far I ran, the past will always pull me back. She is everywhere, she is in everything I see.
My little girl all ready to bloom.
if I were a good person I would have let her go.
