Lidia's pov

It's my first day in the college walking in the hallway trying to figure out my class room  i have to join this university in the mid semester as we moved from US recently

"Excuse me? " I said to a girl lost in her phone

"Yeah you're excused? " She replied doesn't bother to look up 

"Where's economics class? " I asked politely

"It's almost mid semester and you still.. " She paused as she looks at me

"Umm... I am a new join" I said  little hesitation

Most of my studies are  home schooled so I never get to interact with people much , so haven't got many friends either

" Oh.. Then we are in the same class follow me" She replied with a bright smile as I follow her

" I am reya" She said extending her hand

"Lidia." I shook it

" What made you choose economics? " She enquired

" I am a business major " I replied barley looking at her

She is 5'4 , has brown hair,her hazel eyes adds an ethereal look to her perfect honey tan skin

She has that warm aura makes me  comfortable

During our walk to our class she talked about upcoming  music fest, academics,hot guys . When the class started I tried my best to focus but..

" Ugghh..  " She growled

" What's wrong? " I whispered eyes still glued to the lecture

" I am hungry ,wanna grab something after the class? " She said  placing her hand on the stomach with pouty lips

"Sure.. " I said trying to hold back my smile because of her cute actions

As soon as the class ended reya grabbed my hand and rushed towards the cafeteria

We sat in the corner  eating our food while I was scrolling through my phone I heard her calling someone

"Hey... I saved a spot " She said waving her hand

A tall guy sat in front of me  next to reya

"Hey gorgeous" He said kissing her cheek

" By the way she's my new friend lidia " She said while I was still looking at the phone

"Li.. Lidia? " His voice sounded shocked as well as familiar ,i looked up to see his face my heart dropped to the ground

' no.. No way.. How can he? ' my mind still processing everything

"You guys know each other? " Reya frowned  while I snapped out of my thoughts

" No.. Her name sounds similar to mine so I was just .. " He paused looking at me with those sparkling eyes

"Hai . .. I am lian" He extended his hand

"Lidia.. " I replied fighting to hide my tide of emotions

" He is that hot guy i mentioned  before" Reya said giggling

" Oh... So you guys are a couple? " I asked

"NO!!" They both replied in Union

"We are best friends" Reya chuckled awkwardly

After finishing our food we walked to the football court , Lian is a football player and reya wanna watch his practice match so here i am ,reya walked fast as she found some faces from our class leaving me and lian

"So... When did you move here? " Lian asked curiously

" A couple of weeks ago" I replied still eyes on the ground

"What about detrex? Is he here too" He asked firmly

" Yeah.. Maybe you should visit him sometime  "I looked at him pleasingly

" Nope , i am good "he said immediately looking  away the walk was awkwardly silent for a few seconds

" I am not staying with him anyways ,I moved into the hostel today, maybe we can hangout  or something?"i didn't expect the next reaction

"Sure, if you need anything let me know I stay in boys dorm" He said hands tucked in his pockets with a soft smile as we walked closer to a wall near by the  court

I heard soft faint sobbing coming behind the wall we are about  to pass by

"I will be back you guys go ahead" I told him  and ran towards the source of the sound

When I walked to the other side  my eyes fell on a girl hugging her knees and crying by burring her face into them

I slowly walked in front of her kneeling down to match her level

"Hey.. Are you okay? " I placed my hand on her shoulder rubbing circles to calm her down

"Just leave me alone  ..." She pulled herself back pushing my hand away

Her beautiful strands stick to her  wet rosey cheeks , eyes still glossy with a fresh  set of tears, yet her brown orbs looks mesmerizing with those big almond eyes, her red plump lips are swollen because of all the crying her little button nose is cute with a light pink tint , her face is a mess with all the tear stain yet captivating

' is she even  real? She looks so pretty to be a human 'i thought,not knowing I am staring at her like a creep

" I didn't see you with eric  before? What do he wants now? "She said with a little anger in her eyes

" You didn't see me cause I don't know him and got no idea  what that *** hole wants"I replied wiping her tears with my thumb as she looks confused

"Then why are you here? Who are you? " She said still not convinced with my words

"I am Lidia.. New join., business major" I replied softly as I stood up extending my hand to help her get up

" I can help myself .. thank you  " She stood up adjusting her dress still with those angry eyes and walked away

'Wow that's rude.. ' i muttered looking at the spot she sat before

I see a student id on the ground and picked it up

'Maya' was written under the pic,her smile was cute and contagious

'I wonder what this Eric did to make her cry 'i thought to myself smiling  like an idiot as I slide the id in my pocket walking towards  the football court

They started their training already I could see lian chasing the ball

"Where did you go? " Reya asked sipping her coffee

"Who's Eric? " I asked out of the blue making her chock on her coffee

"Er- Eric? Why? Why do you ask about him? " Reya replied between her coughs

"Just want to know no reason" I said  grabbing her coffee for a sip

"Well.. " She got cutoff by a deep voice behind me

"I am Eric, football captain" a tall well built  guy said shuffling the ball in between his hands with a evil smirk on his face

" Eric .. she's lian's friend , a new join"reya said pulling me behind her

" Oh... Then we can be friends too "he said with a smile

"No thanks.. I am good with just two people" I  stepped forward looking deep in to his soul

"Damn... Savage... I like that attitude ..  But as you are friends with lian don't pick on you ,if you need any help feel free to ask anytime  " He said patting my shoulder

"Actually I do need your help with something" I replied pushing his hands off me

"Oh... Already? Did anyone  try to bully you? I'll  handle t.. " Before he complete

"Stop bothering maya" I replied glaring at him

" Aren't you a new join? Don't tell me your friends with that ***** " He scoffed

"No.. She's not.. Yet  ...But I don't think that's the way you should speak about a girl" I growled at him

"Don't you dare rise your voice over me baby girl I can make you regret it " He said grabbing my wrist firmly

"Really? Why don't you try it then? " I challenged him fingers curled in to fist snooting

"Eric ... Don't. " Lian ran towards us making him leave my hand

"You are lucky " He whispered in my ear clenching his teeth

"Loose up your jaw before I make your teeth fall off pretty boy" I said giving him a death glare

"What did you just say? " He grabbed my tshirt and lifted his hand to punch me in the face

I am ready to knock him down at the very moment

His punch stopped in the air by lian holding his hand tightly giving him a serious look

"Not a good move ...bro" Lian

"Seriously? She started it First while I am being nice to her " He replied pulling his hand from lians firm grip

"Do you want to grab everyones attention on your first day by getting in to a fight dia" Lian said dragging me out of there

"It's Lidia... Don't ever call me that again" I snapped my hand out of his and walked towards my hostel while reya followed me.

Reya ran behind me as I stormed towards the girls hostel

" Eric is a bully, but he respects Lian and his friends " She  wrapped her hand over my shoulder

"I don't like that guy" I snarled

"Not your fault... he is a **** " Reya  laughed at her own comment

"I don't like him either but Lian is a good friend of him so I don't wanna make Lian sad" Reya added

"Where's room number 408? " I asked

"4th floor immediate left to the stairs.. Want me to come with you" She said with a warm smile

"Nope... I can manage" I replied stepping towards the stairs

"Lidia... Be careful with your roommate" Reya added as I was about to take the stairs

"Why? Is she a bully too" I asked raising my brow

"A victim actually, " She chuckled bitterly

"Uh?" confusion clear on my face

"Victim of Eric's obsession.. I have to admit , that girl is so otherworldly beautiful that.. I wished I could date her but I am into guys though" She  smiled shaking her head in disappointment

"So ? " I added crossing my hands

" So.... Don't be close with her it will piss off Eric This poor girl didn't have any friends because of that psycho "she replied waving me a good bye opening her room door

" See you tomorrow "I waved her back

"Haa.. If you need anything just call me I am just two floors away" She hugged me before going in

"Thanks reya" I hugged back and walked towards the room

I see a girl in her shorts holding a bottle in her hand walking in front of me in the corridor frequently checking on me from the corner of her eye

She stopped and turned back as I stood in front of my room

" Are you following me?what do you want stalker? " She said tightly gripping her bottle a little frightened but trying to act tough

"Umm... Hi.... roommate? " I frowned as I walked past in to the room leaving her in suprise

"So.. Umm.. You are really a new join? " She said fiddling her fingers for which I nodded as her eyes widen realizing her rude behavior earlier

"I am sorry about earlier" She said tucking her hair behind her ear walking closer to me

The warm light in the room defined her perfect facial features she looks even more beautiful than earlier her hair tied into a messy bun makes her face more prominent her strands were curled a little touching her cheeks making her look cuter

"No problem maya" I replied smiling at her cute guilty face

"Uh?.. How do you..." She said with a confused look

"Apology accepted and before you thank me for my kindness your welcome" I replied sitting on the corner of bed as she chuckled a bit for my statement as I gave her id

"If you didn't had your dinner you must hurry before the cafeteria closes" She added sitting in the middle of her bed

"I am not hungry though i'll just have some snacks" I replied by filling my cupboard with my clothes

"Ever tried an Indian snack? " She said grabbing a box from her desk

"No" I shook my head

"Wanna give it a try? " She said offering a box full of fluffy thingies

I walked towards her bed and took a piece of soft dessert a bite

"Wow it's so sweet.. It tastes like milk.. What is it? " My brain popped for a moment as the rich flavour filled my mouth

" It's kova.. Yeah it's made from milk"she said tapping her hands on the bed gesturing me to sit

"Do you like it? " She asked curiously

"I love it" I replied for which she clapped her hands like a kid out of happiness

"Want to try other one? " She said excitedly

"Sure" I replied fighting hard to take my eyes of from her smile

Damn how can someone look so adorable, she has such a pure smile, innocent face

We talked for a while about random stuff I got along with her so well within a few minutes of our talk we felt like we are long lost friends reunited again

I figured out we are completely opposite poles by our nature she is religious, kind, believes in karma, loves her family, sensitive towards others feelings,cares everyone deeply

Her character perfectly fit her beauty no wonder Eric is obsessed with her

" Hey.. I don't wanna be rude but what's your deal with this Eric guy "I asked trying to sound as polite as possible but failed

" Umm.. I met him in the library on our first day since then he's been a little clingy following me everywhere at first I thought he wanted us to be friends but after a few days he proposed to me "she said her face dropped dull

" I rejected him in front of everyone so he started to bully me and whoever I am friends with so everyone stopped talking to me " She said with tears filled eyes ,her voice quivered

"I miss my family I feel lonely it's my first time being away from them on top of that Eric bothering me, having no friends, it's just too much for me" She added sniffing as her fingers draw patterns on the sheets while she looks down to avoid eye contact

"You can talk to me about everything" I replied wiping her tears

"But Eric.. " Before she say something I put my finger on her lips to make her stop

"I am not afraid of a stupid bully"I said protectively

" Wow... You sound so brave"she replied chuckling at my words

" Well... I act brave too" I replied tucking her strands behind her ears

Our eyes met for the first time she looked so vulnerable looking back in to my eyes we lost track of the time staring at each other

Strangely looking into her eyes calmed me down I can hear my heart beat clearly

This moment seems so beautiful that I wanna Cease it but suddenly her phone beeped breaking our little weird moment

"Umm.. Sorry " She said looking away from me here cheeks flushed

"I am sleepy let's talk tomorrow"i Lied down on my bed closing my eyes as she turned of the lights

'Am I attracted to her? How can I? I am sure I am straight but this girl is swirling my heart , is it possible that I am bi? If I am why didn't I ever attracted to any girl before? 'All these questions took over my head but I was too tired to look for answers and I drifted to sleep
