The Dream Sketcher’S Reality
PROLOGUE
Have you ever wondered about the people who keeps appearing in your dreams? The constant thought of seeing them in reality.
There is a mystery person who keeps finding his way into the temple of my sleeping mind in the ambiguous realm of dreams.
I frequently find myself tempted, in the calm hours of consciousness, to write him off as nothing more than a fabrication of my mind, to state categorically that he is a fake, an imaginary produced by an anxious subconscious.
But the more I deny his existence, the more I can feel his breaths enveloping to mine.
In the hours between waking up and going to sleep, I toy with the unsettling notion that perhaps he is more real than I dare to acknowledge. This is the period when doubt grasps at me.
He replicates the idea of real and fake.
I'm left to wonder whether, in my dreams, he is not the fake one but rather the keeper of a deeper truth that my awake self tries to understand as the distinction between reality and illusion continues to get more and more hazy.

Hmm? Is my roommate not please to see me?
This is my story discovering reality.
CHAPTER 1
In the corner of the bustling café, I sat at our usual table, a cup of steaming coffee in front of the background as I deeper into my thoughts, my sketchbook open before me.
Each stroke of my pencil on the paper was a step further into a world I couldn’t quite grasp.
My mind was consumed by the mysterious person who had haunted my dreams for weeks.
Their face, a puzzle of shadows and intrigue, begged to be brought to life through my sketches.
With each stroke, I felt a connection, an inexplicable conviction that they existed somewhere beyond the realm of dreams
Just as I was about to lose myself entirely to my own thoughts, a sharp voice cut through the fog of my imagination.
“Haesoo, for the love of sanity, snap out of it! You been daydreaming again, 3 times this week!”
It was Jiwoo, my friend, leaning across the table, her expression is a mix of annoyance and concern.
She scolded, her words jolting me back to the reality of the cafe.
I blinked, the figure from my dreams disappeared like smoke.
The chatter of the cafe-goers, the aroma of coffee, and Jiwoo’s stern face were all too real.
Reluctantly, I closed my sketchbook, but the other ember of belief still smoldered within me, refusing to be extinguished.
Haesoo
“You know, Haesoo. I can’t shake the feeling that the person from dreams is real. I’ve been sketching them for weeks now, and every time I close my eyes, it’s like they’re right there.”
Jiwoo
“Come on, Haesoo. You’re letting your imagination run wild again. Dreams are just dreams. There’s no evidence that this person exists in the real world.”
Haesoo
“I get it, it sounds crazy, but I can’t ignore this gut feeling. It’s like an unexplainable connection.”
Haesoo
“When I draw them, it’s not like I’m creating a character; it’s like I’m capturing someone who’s out there, waiting to be found.”
Jiwoo
(Sighs) “Haesoo, you’re always chasing these wild ideas. You’re setting yourself up to disappointment. Maybe it’s time to focus on the real world and stop getting lost in your daydreams.”
Haesoo
“I hear you, Jiwoo, but I can’t help it. This feels different. I just need to know, to prove to myself that I’m not crazy.”
Haesoo
“So, I’m going to keep searching, keep sketching, until I find the truth, even if it takes me on the wildest journey of my life.”
As the conversation with Sarah at the café continued, I could feel a growing divide between my conviction and her skepticism.
It was clear that she couldn’t grasp the depth of my belief in the existence of the person from my dreams. With a sense of determination, I decided it was time to put my thoughts into action.
I looked at Sarah and said,
Haesoo
“You know what, Sarah? I appreciate your concern, but I need to follow my instincts on this one. I’m calling it a day.”
I closed my sketchbook with a resolute thud and pushed my chair back.
With a nod to my friend, I left the cozy confines at the café behind and stepped out into the bright afternoon sunlight.
The park, a lush oasis of green, lay ahead. It was here that I intended to continue my quest, my unwavering belief propelling me forward.
As I walked towards the park, I couldn’t help but wonder if today would be the day when my sketches would finally transform into something more than just dreams on paper.
CHAPTER 2
Haesoo arrived at the park, the same one he had visited countless times before.
After meeting his friend Jiwoo at the cafe, he couldn’t shake off the feeling of curiosity about the mysterious person who had been haunting his dreams.
As he made his way to the park’s bench, he found a secluded spot where he could be alone with his thoughts.
Sitting there, he opened his sketchbook, the pages crisp and blank, and began to draw.
The breeze played with his hair as he sketched, and the tranquil surroundings of the park seemed to fade away as he immerse himself in his art.
With each stroke of his pencil, the mysterious person from his dreams came to life on the paper, their features slowly taking shape.
Haesoo’s mind wandered, and he found himself lost in the depths of his imagination, hoping that through his sketches, he could unravel the enigma of this person who had captured his thoughts and dreams.
Haesoo’s tranquil sketching session was abruptly interrupted by the shrill ringtone of his phone.
Startled, he quickly checked the called ID and saw that it was his apartment’s landlady. A sense of curiosity mixed with a touch of apprehension washed over him as he wondered why she could be calling him at this moment.
With a slightly furrowed brow, Haesoo decided to answer the call. As he brought the phone to his ear, he couldn’t help but wonder if this unexpected interruption had something to do with the mysterious dreams or if it was an entirely unrelated matter.
The park’s atmosphere, once filled with the creative energy of his sketching, now felt tinged with a sense of uncertainty as he prepared to find out the reason behind the landlady’s call.
Haesoo
“Hello, Mrs. Lee? Is everything okay?”
Mrs. Park’s voice sounded calm yet concerned on the other end of the line.
Mrs. Lee
“Hello, Haesoo. I hope I’m not interrupting anything important. I just wanted to give you a head-up that your new dorm mae will be arriving shortly.”
Haesoo furrowed his brow, his thoughts momentarily drifting away from his sketches of the mysterious person.
Haesoo
“New dorm mare? I wasn’t aware of that. Do you know anything about them?”
Mrs. Lee
“Well, not much, I’m afraid. They’re a fellow student like you. I thought it was best to inform you so that you’re prepared when they arrive.”
As Haesoo hung up the phone, he contemplated the unexpected change in his living situation.
He sighed, setting aside his sketchbook for now, and began to wonder about the person who would soon become part of his daily life in the dorm.
Haesoo hastily gathered his sketchbook and art supplies, leaving the park behind as he made his way back to his dorm.
Anxiety gnawed at him as he thought about his messy living space and the impending arrival of his new dorm mate. He couldn't afford to leave a bad first impression.
Upon reaching his dorm, Haesoo surveyed the cluttered room with a sense of urgency.
Clothes were strewn about, art supplies were scattered across his desk, and there were even some dirty dishes in the sink. He knew he had to clean up quickly.
With determination, Haesoo rolled up his sleeves and got to work. He tidied up the living area, folded clothes, and organized his art supplies.
The room slowly transformed from chaos to order, and as he worked, he couldn't help but wonder about the new person who would soon share this space with him.
With a sense of accomplishment, Haesoo stood back and surveyed his now clean and tidy dorm room, satisfied that it was ready to welcome his new roommate.
He felt a sense of relief that his roommate hadn't arrived yet, giving him a moment to relax.
Eager to unwind and perhaps do a quick sketch before the inevitable arrival of his dorm mate, Haesoo reached for his bag. However, as he began to scan the contents of his bag with his hands, a growing unease settled in. When his fingers came into contact with an empty space where his sketchbook should have been, panic surged through him.

When his fingers came into contact with an empty space where his sketchbook should have been, panic surged through him.
He decided to peer inside his bag, and his worst fear was confirmed. His beloved sketchbook, filled with countless drawings and memories, was nowhere to be found.
The realization hit him hard, and he brought a hand to his forehead in disappointment, cursing his forgetfulness for leaving it behind in the park.
As Haesoo's disappointment and frustration lingered over the lost sketchbook, the unexpected sound of his apartment doorbell startled him. His heart raced as he hastily tried to regain his composure, thinking it might be his new roommate arriving earlier than expected.
Opening the door, Haesoo was momentarily speechless as he locked eyes with the person standing before him. It was the very same person he had sketched in the park, the mysterious figure from his dreams with dark and enigmatic features. His eyes widened in disbelief as he saw the stranger holding his sketchbook.
Their gaze met, and for a moment, time seemed to stand still. Haesoo couldn't believe what he was seeing. It was as if the lines between his dreams and reality had blurred, and the person who had occupied his thoughts and sketches had materialized in front of him.
