Wed, 2nd May 2007.

Dear Diary,

It's 2 weeks before Elsa's year 12 Prom...

I was scared because I don't like my date but the other twin asked Matty to go with them and he said yes so now I won't be alone with people who I barely know.

Now, Matty and I have both been asked to go by the twins that live in my old house next to Els and Pete. Elsa and Pete are being made to go together by their Mum.. Flynnie who is now my deskmate for English and Biology is also going to be coming because he's the 2nd most handsome boy in school so been asked by most of the girls. I can't remember who he said yes to.... He probably doesn't even know their name yet. He just wants to go to follow Pete around. (Poor Little Lovesick Puppy). I'm beginning to feel more comfortable and even a little excited.

I've also finally found the perfect dress 👗👗👗. I had been worried about finding a dress because time is running short. But now I've seen the one I like I am going to be very excited to be wearing it... I tried it on today with Els and she said I looked beautiful 😍 so I am hoping that Matty will think that too...

I'm going to ask Mum and Dad if I can buy it tonight when I speak to one of them

Update after Dad's phone call... I told Dad about the dress and he transferred money so I can buy it.

Update after Mum's phone call... Mum's going to transfer extra money for new heels 👠👠👠 and also to organise my hair and make-up. She said to ask Flynn's Mum when I visit Flynn or Coach Pearl when I visit Pete and Elsa's house to help me if I need it. (I'm a bit scared of heels - I've never worn them... I'm usually barefoot or have running shoes for my track.) Also not to sure about the hair and make-up.... Elsa will probably know... I'll check with her.

Why does Mum always have to complicate these things ... I was just starting to get excited and now I have even more things to worry about. 😢😢😢

Friday, 4th May 2007,

Dear Diary,

Mum and Dad transferred the money so Elsa and I went shopping again after school today and bought my dress👗 👗👗👗👗

It's So Pretty - I love it.

I know I shouldn't because I should look after it but I'm even wearing it as I write in my diary.

Coach Pearl is going to take us shopping for heels tomorrow after Track because she's planning on taking Elsa anyway so I can go with them.

Flynnie's Mum who always has the most beautiful hair and make-up of any person I've ever seen said she'll do mine and Elsa's if we can't find anyone to do it so it's definitely not something I need to worry about.

I can't believe how amazingly everything is falling into place.

Matty and Elsa are fighting with Pete again... Elsa wants to try alcohol before the prom because she's never tried it before. Matty thinks it will be fun and Pete is totally against the idea...

I don't really mind 😕

I've had it before with Mum and Dad so I kinda know how much I should have around other people before going past my safe limit.

I'll ask Flynnie tomorrow when I see him....

Correction - I won't see him until Monday because it's weekend tomorrow... We'll all be running and he'll be swimming laps somewhere.

I'll have to remember to wear my shopping clothes because Pearl is taking us shopping for heels tomorrow....

I wonder if Pete and Matty will be there or if it's only going to be us girls...

It doesn't really matter 😔

If Matty and Elsa are both shopping I want to look pretty too.....

I could wear all the latest, cutest fashions and I would still never compare to any of them....

They are all just naturally beautiful ❤️❤️❤️

So beautiful!!! It makes my heart happy to be going along with them....

Dear Diary,

Yay!!!

I found a beautiful pair of heels 👠👠👠🤩🤩🤩 that I really love 😘😘😘

We went shopping after track ...

Coach Pearl had to take Pete and Matty to organise borrowing a tux for the prom... As they were going into the tux borrowing shop, Flynnie's Mum was on her way out so she took Els and I for a milkshake and didn't have anything else to do so offered to take us girls shopping for heels.

Of course I didn't tell Elsa it was Flynnie's Mum... She likes Flynnie so much at the moment she wouldn't have been able to breathe if I'd told her that...

Flynnie's Mum knew all the best shops for clothes and where we could find some heels on sale...

She said if we wear classic black we can find some on sale and we'll probably be able to get a matching handbag and belt...

Elsa was really impressed with her shopping advice so when she followed it and her whole face lit up in her beautiful smile - I did the same thing....

So now we both have a pair of classic black heels + a matching bag + belt that will look elegant with anything 🤩🤩🤩

She said she's busy all week working but if we haven't found jewellery by next Saturday she can take us shopping again after our Track Practice (Flynnie's swimming for her).

She also remembered that she said she'll do our hair and make-up if we can't find anyone.

Elsa loved Sarah so much she actually begged her to do her hair and make-up because her mum Pearl won't be able to afford it and as beautiful as Pearl is she's not a make -up kinda person so Sarah (Flynnie's Mum) agreed. Sarah said she'd love to because all she has is a son - so she doesn't get to do all the fun girls stuff with him.

I can't believe how well it's falling in to place...

I'll have to mention to Mum that Sarah's taking me shopping for some jewellery so I'll have to ask her if she can transfer some money so that I can buy it...

I don't think Dad wants to spend any more money on a Prom that isn't even mine...

Signing off today, feeling really grateful for my friends parents who love me and treat me like one of their extra kids...

Can't wait to see Elsa dressed up in her beautiful dress and accessories that we have bought together and Matty in his prom tux...

They're going to look so beautiful and stylish.

I'm also really excited to be joining them in my own perfect dress and elegant accessories...
