POV of a 16 yrs old child
We feel like there are many people around us…
but in reality, no one is there when you truly need them.
Everyone disappears, as if they were never there from the beginning.
Since childhood, I used to think that when I grew up, I wouldn’t be alone—
like the people I used to see at the park.
I was alone back then, but I still tried to stay positive and told myself,
“I am not alone…”
If I tell the truth, I wasn’t completely alone…
because my little brother was always there for me.
Whenever I cried silently, seeing others with their mothers,
he would come to me and wipe my tears with his small hands—
not even understanding what had happened.
Our mother died when we were little.
Since then, our uncle has been taking care of us like his own children.
Him and my little brother… they are all I have now.
They are my only family, and I don’t want to cause them any kind of trouble.
My uncle is always worried about us.
I don’t want him to worry anymore.
I’m in high school now, but I want to grow up fast.
One day, when I fully grow up,
I’ll let my uncle rest and free him from all his worries.
