"My name is Alexandro , so it all started one dreadful night which seemed to be the darkest in years, unfortunately there was a rage as lightning bolts flashed through the skies , my friend and i left our houses unnoticed , we were both heading to a near by friends house for a birthday party , I don't know what came into me that day , the time was little past 10 pm".

" we both hopped into his brand new range rover , I can't really remember what happened next", oh!! i remember that i saw something strange in the sky which landed a few yard away from us, my friend insisted we checked it out , reaching the scene where it landed we discovered that it was some thing like a portal ,it had some kind of energy radiation and it immediately pulled me towards it " .

"My friend tried to pull me away , but the energy was too strong, so that's how I found myself in this strange world"

"Cut the crap!!!" shouted one of the guards at the gate, "we just asked you how you got to the shield valleys and you tell us your boring story"

"I am so sorry for that , but I really need to get into this place. I have been out here in the waste lands for days, i need food and shelter" replied Alexandro.

"Ok kid what are your special skills" asked the guard.

"What do you mean by special skills" replied Alexandro.

"I mean fighting skills!!!" shouted the guard impatiently, "What do you have to offer"?.

"I am sorry sir" said replied Alexandro remorsefully, "i am not a skilled fighter but i know some basic fighting techniques"

"Go to hell young man" said the guard as he turned his face to the opposite direction.

"please sir can't you help me?" replied Alexandro.

"I won't repeat myself" Said the guard, giving him a stern look.

"What's going on here" said a young man approaching.

"Oh, nothing to worry about sir James" replied the guard picking up a quick smile.

"Who are you supposed to be young man?" said James to Alexandro.

"My name is Alexandro sir and ..."

"No need for all that" said James resting his hands on Alexandro's shoulder, "you are not from around here right?" he added.

"No sir i happen to come from another world, i think there must have been a mistake somewhere, I just got pulled by...

"You never seem to be short of words Alexandro, don't worry let's get you some place to stay and food to eat, you can explain what happened after then" said James as he walked Alexandro into the gate.

"Thanks a lot sir" said Alexandro.

"No worries, welcome to the shield valley bro, by the way you

by the way you can just call me James, i happen to be a division captain here" he added.

"What a crazy world" said Alexandro giving a brief sigh as they both walked through the street of the shield valley.

"Do you find this place ok for now?" asked james pointing his hand to the direction of an old lodge.

"I think i can manage it though it seems old",replied Alexandro.

" I'll leave you now to do the cleaning and after which you can meet me at the training ground if you are interested in joining our military guild", said James as he walked out of the room.

"Okay I'll meet you when i'm done" replied Alex.

\*\*\*\* later that day \*\*\*\*

" so you are ready for your training?" said James as he gave a quick smile to Alexandro.

"Yeah , but i would like you to explain to me about this strange world", replied Alexandro.

"You talk like you are from some kind of distant galaxy", said James.

"Yes actually i am from another world, i mean planet " replied Alexandro.

"So what's the name of this your planet?" asked James sarcastically.

" Earth, at first when I got here i thought that i have been transported back in time but I later discovered that i was on another world similar to earth except for that it's like a medieval period", said Alexandro.

"I have never heard of such place but time varies in different worlds and even if you were to go back into that same portal that brought you here, you might find yourself thousands of years back in time in your world", said James.

" This can't be!!!" shouted Alexandro in frustration, "there's got to be another way i can get to my world".

" There is actually but it's nearly impossible " said James.

" How ? " asked Alexandro.

"You have to get to the mandoras portal which is at north's end, that is the only portal that can sync times from different worlds".

" So why do you think that's impossible? asked Alexandro curiously.

"The people in the northern kingdom unlike us are descendants of the godly elements", said James, their gift is fire and they guard the mandoras portal because they believe that using it can send a signal of the location of our world to the savage gods", he added.

" wait you mean people with super powers exist in this world?" asked Alexandro.

"Yes that's what i said" replied James.

"But why haven't i seen any in the shield valley? asked Alexandro.

" The shield valley was created as a city of defence for those who do not possess the godly elements", replied James.

"This is starting to look like a dream to me, how did i even get to this place? "

"Don't be hard on yourself", said James, just focus on adapting to life in this world, who knows if a portal might appear and transport you back to your world someday? he added.

" You think so?" asked Alexandro.

"Maybe, maybe not" replied James "

"That doesn't help" said Alexandro in frustration.

"Common let's begin your training, said James as he got up in haste to get his equipments.

*** Two months later. ***

The sound of the whirlwind caught his attention, he was suddenly trapped in a stream of his own thought, " What would it be like back there in my world?", what would they think happened to me?, he imagined as multiple thoughts continued to crave into his mind

"Hey are you okey ?", asked James who seemed to have noticed him absent minded

" Yeah , I'm just a little stressed out from the training " replied Alexandro

" i must compliment you for your outstanding performance in today's training, you are at the wit end of the second basic transition stage of martial arts in just two months", james added

"I guess that's because i am determined to find my way out of this world, so i must try my best to be better than those northern freaks" Said Alexandro

"Don't get your hopes high, there's no way you can be stronger than the northerners",said James, "you shouldn't think of becoming enemies with them", he added

" we treat them like they're some kind of gods that we shouldn't offend", said Alexandro irritatedly

"They are not our enemies, though they can be bossy at times, the shield valley has been a peaceful place for many years thanks to them" replied James

"What do they have to do with that?" it's not like they are protecting us or something? asked Alexandro

"Indirectly" replied James, other enemies around us don't dare to trespass or attack us because you are part of the northern protection" said James

"Sorry to say but as far as they stand in my way of getting to my world, I see them as enem...

"What was that that noise?" Asked Alexandro

"I think it came from the front gate, let's check it out" said James

\ A while later \

"Woa what's going on, why the crowd" said Alexandro to a fellow spectator

"the fire prince is here"

There was total silence as the fire prince emerged from a chariot of beasts

"Greetings inhabitants of the shield valley, on behalf of my father, the lord of fire ,king of the seven kingdom's and protector of the shield valley i drogàus prince of the northern kingdom whereby demand of the shield valley one thousand men who are at their peak of martial art for the battle against the southern enemy"

The crowd went wild as everyone seemed to disagree to the decree of the prince, suddenly the baron of the shield valley emerged with his escorts

"we have heard your the decree young prince, but this time it seems not to be agreeable because taking one thousand skilled fighters from the shield valley would leave us vulnerable to external enemies" he said

" It seems you ungrateful people dare to disagree to the decree of the lord of fire, you know the consequence and you shouldn't dare" replied the prince

"At the moment we have just six hundred fighters who are at their peak of martial arts and we would be willing to give five hundred, if you don't find that acceptable you can call us out of the union of the seven kingdoms" said the baron

"Very well, from this day the shield valley has been proclaimed as an enemy of fire and have lost their place as one of the seven kingdoms under the protection of the lord of fire" said the prince, from now on you inhabitants shall suffer under the hand of the kingdom of fire, he added as he walked towards his chariot of beasts to take leave

"Gather all the inhabitants of the shield valley at the ancestral meeting grounds" said the baron, "this day might have marked the beginning of a war we might not survive", he added.
