In a world shrouded in mystery, there lived a girl named Seraphina, who had been trapped in the realm of mirrors for as long as she could remember. She had spent her entire life gazing into those reflective surfaces, yearning for a glimpse of the outside world.
Inside her mirror prison, the world was a shadowy place, filled with endless rows of identical mirrors that stretched as far as the eye could see. A thick black fog enveloped this peculiar realm, obscuring any hint of color or vibrancy. Seraphina's daily existence was a monotonous routine of labor, cleaning the mirrors and keeping them free from smudges.
Yet, in her mind, Seraphina had painted a vivid image of the outside world. She had heard whispers from the other trapped souls in the mirrors, tales of a world beyond their reach. They spoke of a sky that changed colors, from the warm orange of sunrise to the deep blue of midday and the fiery red of sunset. They spoke of lush landscapes, abundant with fruits and flowers in every hue imaginable.
But the most enchanting story Seraphina had heard was about rain. Rain, they said, was water that fell from the sky, a mysterious phenomenon that nourished the earth, causing fruits to ripen and flowers to bloom. Seraphina dreamt of feeling raindrops on her skin and tasting the sweet fruits that were spoken of in hushed tones.
One fateful day, as Seraphina was toiling away, lost in her dreams of the outside world, she was jolted by a deafening thud against the barrier of her mirror. Startled, she dropped her cleaning cloth, her heart pounding with fear. The barrier trembled, and to her astonishment, a hairline crack began to appear, allowing a ray of sunshine to penetrate the gloom.
The light bathed Seraphina's face, and tears welled up in her eyes. For the first time in her life, she felt the warmth of the sun on her skin. But the miracle didn't stop there. From beyond the crack, she heard an array of sounds—a symphony of laughter, chirping birds, and rustling leaves.
As the crack widened further, Seraphina's heart soared with hope. She saw something she had only imagined: a pair of beautiful green eyes gazing right through hers. The eyes were filled with curiosity and wonder, just like hers. In that brief moment, a connection was formed, transcending the boundaries of their worlds.
But as quickly as it had appeared, the crack began to close, and the ray of sunshine vanished, taking with it those mesmerizing eyes. Seraphina was left in a state of bewilderment and longing, but now, her desire to break free from the world of mirrors burned stronger than ever before.
With newfound determination, she began to seek a way to widen the crack, to bridge the gap between her world and the world she had glimpsed. The echoes of those mysterious eyes fueled her resolve, and Seraphina was determined to find a path to the outside world and experience its beauty firsthand.
She kept thinking about those eyes that felt warm, as if they shared a kinship. Feeling hungry, she picked some special leaves called sumabi. These were the only plants growing in the mirrored world, without needing sunlight. They shimmered in a blue light and produced bright purple fruits, which she'd only heard about but never seen.
Starving and doing her work, she quickly washed the leaves in muddy water from what seemed like a small river in the vast realm. Eating them with her hands, she lived alone in a house made of mud and dry leaves. Others lived in this place, but they were unkind, so she chose to be by herself. Sometimes she wondered about her parents and how she ended up in this place without any light or beauty.
The next day, while cleaning the mirrors, she wondered why they always got covered in black stuff, even though she cleaned them daily. After eating, she thought again about that moment and tried to draw the person's face in the mud. Since she only caught a quick glimpse, she drew what she assumed the face might look like. The face she drew had thick
eyebrows, bright eyes, long lashes, a medium-sized nose, attractive lips, a sharp jawline, and flawless skin—quite different from anyone she'd ever seen. Even though it was just her imagination, making the drawing made her really happy, and she fell asleep thinking about the person.
The days went by but her curiosity never died, one day she was again startled by a huge thud. she was overjoyed hoping to see the person again waited for the walls to crack and open. Unlike last time she heard thudding sound many times the mirror realm had a big shake and felt like earthquake but she stood still. As she finally saw light and the crack was wider than the last time.
Hearing the noise the people lived there gathered near the wall and saw the beautiful rays of sun for the first time as they were admiring and the crack widened she saw a few people sitting on a strange four-legged creature. While she was observing, A man with a tough face pointed a sharp object towards her which was sharp at both sides with a pointed end attached to a rigid stick. As the person threw the object towards her. She was scared but didn't realize it would hurt her if she was attacked, In a brink of second when she blinked and opened her eyes she saw a person falling from the creature in front of her as the light was bright she couldn't see the person's face clearly. When she realized the person in front of her tried to save her and the sharp object attacked the creature instead and the person sitting fell down.
when the person slowly tried to stand up from ground she could tell right away that this is the same person, When the person with the sharp object tried to attack her again the people standing near the wall started running for their lifes.
When both Seraphina and the person who fell down looked each other for a couple of seconds as the crack began to close she didn't make the same mistake again instead she dragged the person inside the mirror realm as the cracks closed.
