***Let's Begin***

"*Hey babe, what are you doing?"

"Arghh! Alexian* I can't bare with this anymore."

*(that is what Miara calls alex)

"Be clear, what are you talking about now?"

"I AM GOING CRAZY!!! So that is why I wanted to tell you I don't want Jason to take me just as a friend."

"So are you saying that you are going to tell him the secret which you locked in your heart for 14 ****f*cking years*****!"

" ***Yasssssss**!"

" Miara do feel like your ready for this?"

"I mean we haven't seen him this whole summer. Do you think he'll be able to take this in?"

" I don't really know about this but I am sure that I want him to know about my feelings before the homecoming."

"Even if he rejects me at least my heart would be at ease and I'll be able to move on."

"So, are you ready for this?"

" Hundred percent!"

" Good night Alexian I'll call you tomorrow so that my emotional support is stable enough for me to come back to school."

"See you soon, good night."

**I sit back on my bed and stare blankly trough my window looking at the stary night sky and staring right at the crescent moon. Jason do you also feel the same as me, do you also think of me in a different way. If you do I'll cherish you with my full soul and heart.

***Flash back***

*10th February, 2009 *

"*Mom we have a new neighbour", baby Miara came jumping to her mom.

"Mom the aunt next door says she knows you."

"Miara are you trying to trouble me again, there are none of my colleagues in this society. Now run away before I give you work on the weekend, I have a lot of work to do", Miara's mom said in a serious and concerned tone from the kitchen.

*ding dong*

"Coming", Miara's mom screamed while rushing to the door.

"Amanda!" Miara's mom screamed because of over joy.

"Alice I heard you didn't want to meet me, even shooed that pretty little girl away. I understand, you have forgotten this old friend of yours. I'll leave immediately." Amanda said with a sulking face.

" Have you lost your mind and you have no rights to be angry at me you are the one who left to study abroad without a trace." Alice said in an annoyed tone and striked her head to the side while shutting her eyes.

"Alice I am really sorry, I had to leave like that but I had no other choice. You know that I had no reason to stay but it was also my fault for not telling my only true friend that I am leaving." Amanda was waiting for Alice's answer.

"Okay, how about this I am going to make it up to you?" Amanda looked at Alice with hopeful eyes.

"And how will you do that?"

"By staying as your neighbour forever and your my future daughter-in-law's mother, so is that enough?"

Alice and Amanda looked at the tiny and small Jason and Miara. Just in their own innocent world not knowing what love can make a person do. Childhood is actually really pure if taken care of with sincerity.

Alice said by putting her hand on her heart," I guess so."

Amanda pulled Alice in a sudden hug. The kids and the parents had a great reunion and went to the beach to celebrate this great opportunity.

***End of flash back***

For the sake of these memories i'll tell u everything I want you to hear.

Miara closes her eyes, "we will still be friends after this, right?"

Jason I am so thankful that out of all those love letters I got in middle school you still stand out the most out of all those rich bratty guys.

" Am I actually ready for this**?"

Alarm ringing

"Arghhh!" a loud whining noise coming from Miara.

"Miara darling hurry wake up" Amanada screams from the lobby.

"Why is it morning so soon, why can't the sun just take a day off or a summer or winter break and let the poor homosapiens sleep a little more. Plus this alarm." Miara is blaming the sun now.

Miara sits on her bed half asleep.

"Oh my God!" she screams out of devastation.

"How can I be so dumb. I am supposed to meet Jason today. Shit! I haven't even texted him. God!"

Miara rushes to the bathroom. Already being in a hurry she realizes that she had to use a a specific fragrant soap so like any other girl she left everything and rushed out of the bathroom to get her soap.

Love can make people insane. Finally coming out of that bathroom she looked at herself in the mirror. The broad sunlight peeking in the room through the windows and falling on her curves perfectly. I guess wearing black color is the easiest to pull off but if you look sexily adorable then that is an accomplishment.

Miara is not too fond of makeup but for this important occasion she applies just a little. Being pretty feels good but the actual prettiness which matters can only come from heart. You can be a lilac* or an aconite** it is you who choose your own path.

Miara looks at the mirror and sits at the study table with her phone in her hands.Tapping on it anxiously.

After noticing that she was fidgeting without a pause " Why am I so nervous?" she asked herself.

One last sigh out. "I can do this after all I am ready for all outcomes."

She unlocks her phone and is about to dial his number but stops. She thought maybe it would be polite of her to message him first. She text him:

Hey Jassy

*sees him typing*

Jason types: ***Hey Miaraa

Its been so long***.

Miara types: *Obviously you fcker, its like you have gone away.

Jason types: Haha, can u get any lamer.

Miara types: anyways I am calling you.

*Dials Jassy from contacts**

As soon as Jason picks up the call Miara pounces at him with numerous questions.

" You traitor where the hell have you been? Do you have any clue about how worried Alex and I were? Do you care about these childhood friends of yours or not?" Miara finally stops and takes a breath.

" Hey calm down, do you want to die of an asthma attack. How can speak so much in a breath. Calm down and I'll tell you all of my whereabouts this summer." Jason speaks out of concern.

Miara takes a deep breath. "Okay I am fine now. Will you please tell me where you were this whole time?"

"Hmm... I have been with dad at the company this whole time and I know he is not strict at all but I wanted to help him. Anyways I have to carry on his half empire on these broad shoulders of mine. You know sharing the burden, he needs to take care of his health too." Jason said as if he grew up drastically this summer.

"Okay that is quite convincing but you could have told us before the break started or at least called one of us to inform that you won't be available." Miara said in a whinny tone.

" Actually I am not as smart as my best friend. How about I make it up to you?" Jason said in a cute tiny manner which made the icy lady Miara's heart skip a beat.

"And how are you going to do that?" here goes Miara in Sherlock Holmes' character questioning every single thing left on Earth.

"I'll pay for Alex's and yours canteen lunch for a month." Jason concluded in a hyped genius manner.

Miara is unsatisfied\, " ***Huh! Boring. Anyways I called you to ask you something."

"Hmm... What is it? I am listening***." Jason sounded attentive.

"I know you're free tonight, lets grab dinner together. Will you come I have to tell you a secret?" Miara was so nervous for the reply that she immediately crossed her fingers.

" Arghhh! I am not free." Jason said in a sorry tone but it still sounded cold to Miara.

" Why?" Miara sounded so broken that I could go and give her a tight hug and comfort her (괜찮아?) this what the author wants, hehe****

*(*괜찮아?) means are you okay?

" Because I can't" Jason said in a cold tone.

Miara didn't want to believe her ears. She behaved like a kid who is so broken after. his/her parents refuse to buy them a particular toy. She asked " You can't take out an hour for me?" Miara was almost at the verge of breaking down.

"No!"

Miara tried to hold back her tears.

She tried to calm herself by self-assuring that he might be busy with his dad's work.

Just to avoid embarrassment and to not let Jason hear her crying she thought that she should just say goodbye.

"Well no problem Jassy, I understand you have your reasons. Lets take a rain check this time. Well let me know if i can help in anything, I am always available." There was pain and regret in Miara's voice.

Just as she was about to say goodbye Jason said " Well I need you right now."

Miara was caught by surprise and didn't know what he was talking about.

"What?"

"You know I have to go receive my brother from the airport today and...."

Miara cut Jason half way through what he was speaking "Are you trying to fool me. You don't have a brother that is why we have always been the two of us. What the hell are you talking about it is not funny. Don't spoil my mood I am already very worked up because I know a person who calls himself my best friend, then disappears for the whole summer and does not have time to ave dinner with me."

***"Angry young woman will you at least listen to the whole thing. It is more serious than you think." ***Jason said in a literal serious tone.

Miara was agitated by this tone of his because it is so not him. He and seriousness are two different routes of a road. "Well you sound serious so I'll listen to your story but don't think that I have forgiven you."

"Okay so listen to me very carefully."

Jason continues to speak:

"When your mom and my mom were in school they were not the only best friends. There was another my elder aunt, Aunt Charlotte, she is my mom's first cousin. The best trio of school 'Amanda, Alice and Charlotte'. They did everything together bunked classes together, troubled teachers together, went to the same tutor and even had boyfriends together. If one started dating the other two would find themselves boyfriends. It was during the time aunt Charlotte got a boyfriend and unfortunately the boyfriend she got was my father. During this time your mother and your father had fallen in love and my mom was dating the football teams captain just for the fun of it. One day aunt came crying to mom and aunt Alice saying that she was sorry. Both of them wanted to know what was happening so my aunt broke the secret that my dad actually had to marry the elder miss of the Lin family. My mom was the elder miss of the Lin family."

"What? Then what happened?"Miara asked she was really interested in the story that her mom never told her.

"Then mom married dad, they decided to separate after a month. Well I guess happiness wasn't in their fate then. Aunt Charlotte got pregnant. Grandpa Lin decided to exile her from the Lin territory and gave her a house to live and some servants. He nudged her to abort the child but the doctor said that if she aborts a child at this young age she might not be able to give birth again. When dad went to confess to grandpa Lin that the child in aunt Charlotte's womb was his grandpa said never mind, and warned him that his forever priority is mom now and he should forget about aunt Charlotte now. Dad was devastated and he told all this to mom. Mom decided to tell Grandpa Lin that she had no interest in this marriage and would like to part away from dad. Grandpa Lin put up a show of falling ill and mom and were so innocent they fell for it and let the matter settle down but grandpa Lin didn't stop with his tricks. When aunt Charlotte gave birth to her child she was poisoned after giving birth to my half brother. She asked servant Peter to tell mom and dad that she would like to see them. Aunt Charlotte in her last few minutes asked my parents to stay together forever and raise her's and my father's son and give birth to a child so that their family would be complete. After that she died. Aunt Alice cried a lot at that time and she helped my mom find out about who poisoned their best friend. Turned out that it was one of my Grandpa's servant. After that mom dad left the city with my brother without any trace so that both their families would let them live peacefully to figure what to do next. At this time dad and mom fell in love and decided to stay together. This is when I was born. Mom was really sorry that she couldn't attend aunt Alice's wedding. Things have turned out quite well now. My half brother was in Chicago living with his grand mother but now dad wants him to come back and take charge of his responsibilities as the eldest son of the family."

"Your trying to say that you have had a half brother until now and we know nothing about it." Miara was stuttering while talking.

"Everybody knows about it except you and Alex. Well mom loves my brother quite a lot, I am thankful that I have a big brother that I can rely on, aunt Alice has someone who reminds her of her dead best friend and dad has his next heir and the symbol of his old love. So ya."

"Your not kidding right?" Miara asked sill not believing.

" YES MIARA HE IS MY ONE AND ONLY BROTHER!" Jason screamed through the phone.

Miara let out in shock,"WHAT!!"
