I guess you could say Park Ji-Ho lived a dull, quiet lifestyle as a child; his father died in combat at an early age and his mother worked 2 jobs to keep up with rent, resulting in him being rather reclusive and antisocial. When his mother passed away at 16 due to cancer, Ji-ho was lost in the huge world that was earth, thus leaving him homeless for most of his teenage years.

“I wish it was all over, I wish I could leave and never come back” Ji-ho sobbed to himself.

“I wish I could just leave, become part of those fantasy novels where I could be free, and powerful!” He begs, although to himself, as no one listening because it is 1 am.

What Park Ji-ho didn’t realise was that these words, the words he thought were meaningless and pitiful, would change his life......

Ji-ho woke up to a mouth full of grass.

“Where am I?!” He says to himself as he cannot find himself on the hard concrete floor of Seoul. As Ji-ho wonders aimlessly he stumbles upon a river, flowing beautifully and glistening like the sun. He is amazed, however is more shocked.

Bam!

“Ouch! What the hell!” Ji-ho says whilst his head is in pain and his eyesight is blurred.

Ji-ho takes a while to find his surroundings, nevertheless he realises he is in a barn.

“Hello!” “Anyone there”

*have I been kidnapped?* he thinks, realising a plea for help was now just a stupid idea

“Who the hell are you! And why haven’t I seen you around?” A woman in the back says

“Huh?” Ji-ho is confused and bewildered

“Are you human!?” Ji-ho is now worried, and extremely scared. This.... woman-bull like creature has horns that curve upwards, a peculiar nose ring and a huge tail, yet still has the facial features of a 20 year old.

“What is your name, sir” She says in a curious manner, just as confused as Ji-ho.

“Err.... Ji-ho, Park Ji-ho”

“And you are....?”

“I am Lee Dae” the bull-like woman says, puffing her rather strong chest, proud as can be. “I’m the village guard, the youngest ever at only 19!”

Huh

Huh!!

*the village guard! What is this, the god damn 1500’s!?*

“Where are we...?” Ji-ho asks, hesitant to see if he actually wants that answer.

“Blimey, you are really quite stupid huh, it’s the main fishing village in all of Olkport”

“Where are you from anyway” Lee Dae asks, curious as to why this peculiarly, yet shabby dressed man is visiting here.

“Erm, Seoul, Japan...”

“Sorry, my pops has never taught me of such a place, and he’s been everywhere! Where is it on the map?” Lee Dae says as she shows him an old, withered map

*what the... is this some Victorian prank, or social experiment ... this map is eons old!*

“I... cannot find it”

“What sort of prank are you pulling!”

“Prank... what does that mean, anyway, what’s your magic power, it must be quite weak to get captured” Lee Dae says, all smug, not realising she has just kidnapped a man for no reason

“Magic power!? Hahahaha this joke is funny” Ji-ho says laughing, thinking this joke has gone too far

“I see how it is” Lee Dae says

“You wanna see mine first, alrighty then” after this statement Ji-ho was left as a nervous wreck, unable to move his jaw from side to side, up and down.

*what, the, f...*

“Haha your company has good cgi, there is no way this is real” as Ji-ho says this, he is even doubting his words, it is too real

Level 12! “Haha impressed aren’t you” 26 strength! “They don’t call me a village prodigy for nothing” Lee Dae says this, unaware of how large Ji-his mouth is agape, his jaw almost falling off

“What...what is this”

“Where am I!”

“What sick game is this!?” He sobs, wishing he could just go back with his parents and live happily.

“So show me yours then, just say status and get it over with”

*status, that’s way too cliche*

However at that point, what he just figured would blow his mind, and change his life forever.....

“Where am I?”

“Are you alright?” Dae says

“It’s the peaceful fishing port of Olkport, like I said earlier”

“Anyway, what are all those unique skills? And that gods eye, what does that mean” Dae asks all confused, as she has never seen these peculiar skills before

*i don’t even know myself, how the hell am I supposed to answer that* Ji-ho says, honestly scared for his life. Wait, is he even alive!?

“Can.... can you untie me?” Ji-ho asks, panicking

“Oh... yeah”

“Are you really not from here? Dae says

“Huh? No.”

“Let me give you a tour then! As the city guard captain I have quite a good memory of the city” Dae says, all excited as this is a new experience even for her

“Wait, that’s the river where you knocked me out” Ji-ho points uncomfortably

“Yeah, that’s the river.... wait what, Be quiet!”

*the wall! It’s stunning. the houses look small yet large, bleak but bright, bland but colourful. It’s a beautiful mix of scenery, if only Seoul could look like Olkport...*

“Wait, so what’s the population?”

*surely it’s large, there are so many houses*

“About 50,000, although a lot of tourists do visit” Dae proudly says “and I’m the captain guard”

“It’s cool...”

“Hey! Captain Dae” Guard .1 says, greeting Lee Dae

“Hello! Can we pass by? Showing this young man around” Dae says politely

“Haha ofcourse! You say young man like your middle aged” guard .2 laughs

*she really is the guard, impressive*

* wait no, I’m being to comfortable, this isn’t earth, and I’ve just been kidnapped. WTH*

“Hey! Stop daydreaming and come with me” Dae says, all jolly and excited

“Yeah....”

The streets, with a Victorian esc feel, is beautifully paved and filled with many great sights. As Ji-ho looks to his right he can see many different..... people, a wolf like woman is walking with her child and husband, both with horns like Lee Dae. To his left he can find some serpant-human children playing football and enjoying the scenery.

*the society is great, children can play around all happily, and parents can enjoy the sun and go shopping. It really is peaceful, huh*

But little does he know....

“Here’s the shopping mall!”

“Wow...” Ji-ho says bewildered.

“It’s stunning”

The beautifully placed lights magnify the shops one by one, all the shops are presented neatly, not a flaw to be seen. The shops are presented aesthetically, showing of all the beauty around, with the streets bustling with all kind of races

Lee Dae looks at Ji-ho rather smugly

“I protect this places, and I am honoured

Ji-ho replies “it is beautiful, you have done a great job”

“Hehe, thanks” Dae says, quite charmed by his words

“..............................”

“Hey”

“What’s up” Lee Dae says

“Is there a... Guild”

“Of course, is your memory alright?” She says, rather confused”

“Can you take me there”

“Sure , it was next on my list anyway! Although, there is a test...” She replies, all giddily

“Wait, what kind of test?”

“Hehe, you’ll find out when you get there”

*why am I so worried?*

“its a pretty old fashioned building” Ji-ho says

“What do you mean? This is the most luxurious building in the city!” Dae reply’s, a little frustrated

“Here, let me show you around”

The guild hall is bustling with many people, humans and beasts alike. The layout is somewhat similar to a bank, with different receptionists at each stations confirming and rejecting many different job offers scattered around

“What’s this board for?” Ji-ho asks, pointing to a board full of notes, almost like wanted posters, but missions

“Oh, that’s the mission board, where adventurers accept quests to earn money” Dae reply’s nonchalantly, walking up to the front desk

“Hey! How can I help you today” Receptionist .1 says

“My friend here would like to register” Dae says

“Ok and what’s your name”....

“Well that’s all sorted then!”

“Now all we need is to assess your magic power!”

“What’s your status?” The receptionist says

“Erm, hold on”

No one can tell what’s on her mind at the moment, neither Dae or Ji-ho, one can only hope it’s good

Here’s a little run through on the level system in the guild: highest is S -> it has never been done before, the only one recorded to have possibility hit it was the hero thousands of years ago, but he’s long gone. The lowest is F -> this is where most people are, even without powers, this then means it goes: S, A, B, C, D, E and then F

[Lee Dae’s POV]

*We walk into the guild and of course I get eerie looks, I mean I am the guard captain. I met Ji-ho at the river, and talked when I kidna..... anyway he’s nice, but suspicious. I can’t help but be wary about his knowledge of the city, he’s almost (too) stupid and it is concerning. His status really alarms me, what does gods eye even mean, although he does seem like a nice guy; I will have to keep an eye on him in the future.*

[Ji-ho’s POV]

“Ok! All that’s left is the guild challenge” receptionist says, seemingly excited

“What is the..... challenge?” Ji-ho ask Dae

“Like I said at the mall earlier, you will have to find out! Now follow me”

*why was I sent to this spacious courtyard?*

Ji-ho looks at his surroundings, the land is barren and dry, almost looks like a training area

Out of the corner of his eye he spots some peculiar dressed man with a thin iron sword hanging down from his waist

“Why has he got a sword!?” He asks, panicking

“Hehe” Dae giggles

* What the heck!? Don’t tell me I’m fighting that dude......*
