All the first year students are gathered in the chemical laboratory for their lab session. Students were divided into groups of 4...

"I am literally over the moon that I got grouped with you" Mina gleefully held on to her best friend Laura.

"Luckily we have two more persons in our group" said Laura when she saw other two students joined their desk.

The teacher gave instructions about the safety precautions and started explaining the procedures to be done for the testing.

.

.

Everyone started doing their experiments. After sometime passed all heard an explosion sound #Boom#

.

Soon there was heavy smoke causing everyone to panic and all started rushing towards the door... The lab also started catching fire due to the electrical wires...

Even the students nextdoor got rushed out.

.

.

Admist the smoke, Laura hastily grabbed Mina's hands and panicked "Come on Mina... Lets get out..." and they ran out.

Almost many of the students rushed out including the teacher...

.

Then only Laura realized she didn't grabbed Mina's hand but one of the other two groupmate. She had frozen as if thunderbolt stroke her... After gaining her senses she watched the exit but to her disappointment some unfamiliar faces rushed out.

One among the students rushed out shouting that "Someone is fainted in the laboratory"

When Laura heard it, she was sure that it was Mina. She was out of words literally...

.

.

All of a sudden fire started exploding heavily...

Everyone shut their eyes along their ears.

.

.

Amongst the dust and smoke, a thin tall figure carried Mina outside, along ran a second year student Mason who was in the music room next to the laboratory...

.

.

Due to the impact of explosion three of them fell on thebground but the tall student tried to save Mina from falling. As a result Mina fell over Mason.

.

By the force exerted to push Mina over Mason, the tall student fell over the side rails into the bushes

.

.

When everyone opened their eyes they were only able to witness the smoke and dust through the exit way...

.

.

.

In the faint atmosphere, everyone saw Mason embracing Mina...

Everyone was utterly shocked on what they are seeing. At that moment Laura shouted, "It's Mina.... Somebody call the ambulance... Hurry!"

.

At the time ambulance had already arrived. Some of the students carried Mina when Laura wailed "Mina... Wake up... Please open your eyes..." and while some of them helped Mason to support him walking.... It was already evening when both them was carried in the same ambulance to the hospital...

One side doctors treated Mason's wounds, on the other side they treated Mina...

After sometime Doctors came out and explained their conditions to the teacher that "Mason is having minor injuries only so he had got treated for the external injuries and can be discharged after the IV dripped probably in the morning..."

After that only teacher got relieved and Laura asked "What about Mina? Is she okay?"

XX Middle School**

There is a saying "To enjoy the beauty of the snow, one should stand in the cold while that cold reminds you of the beauty of warmth..."

Likewise one kind word can heal the void soul but there isn't single person who can offer those unspoken luxuries to Jaeson in his world.

A 14 year old brilliant, smart yet lonely lad Jaeson sitting at the corner of the classroom watching the snowfall through the window being apathy trying to survive in this astringent world with his eyes filled with the painful memories...

**6 years back**

Don's house

Jaeson lost both of his parents in a car accident in his age of 8... After their death he started living under the care of his baleful uncle Don and his family...

.

His aunt Mrs. Don and his cousin William Don, both are extremely unpleasant with his presence. So they started treating him in a very harsh manner.

.

But on the other hand Jaeson never detested them. Inspite he endured those hardships in their household for more than a year until one fine evening he overheard the conversation between his uncle and aunt regarding the inheritance of Jaeson from his parents.

.

It was a rainy evening... Mrs. Don rushed home from shopping while carrying heavy bags. On seeing Jaeson she shoved those heavy bags onto him saying "Hey useless, make yourself useful.... Bring those bags to William's room and sent a cup of tea to my room immediately..."

.

.

After placing those bags in William's room, out of curiosity Jaeson scanned through those bags...

All of the clothes and shoes are branded and expensive, nothing in it can be compared with his clothes....

.

Infact he only uses the worn clothes and old ones of William... A bitter yet painful smile crawled through his tiny lips...

.

.

After returning to the kitchen, he prepared his aunt's favourite lavender tea and green tea for his uncle who came just earlier than his aunt... Then he went up the stairs to second floor to serve the tea to his uncle and aunt... When he reached the door knob, he heard them talking about him...

.

"Darling, why are you still keeping that idiot in this house? Isn't too long? I think it's time for us get rid of this trouble" said Mrs. Don leaning towards Don.

.

.

"Apparently I was also thinking of the same... Finally today I got the fortune of Jaeson's parents mentioning that I am his gaurdian who needs financial help to raise him and that ended in our way... Now he is of no use to us anymore" said Don with an evil plan running through his mind...

.

.

.

Unable to configure those words, Jaeson become stupified and started trembling... His mind went blank, the whole world seemingly stopped for him at that moment; after collecting his thoughts he dropped the plate before running out from there....

.

.

Hearing the sound of plate, Don shouted "Who's there outside?"

.

When Don and his wife came out to see, they saw the spilled tea on the floor and understood the situation that Jaeson must have heard them conversation...

.

They rushed out quickly but Jaeson was nowhere to be found... Don roared to his henchmen "Go and find that stupid boy immediately; You people cannot loose him at any cost... Be dead or alive...."

In that rainy night, those men searched him everywhere but all in vain, he cannot be found... Then they saw a group of people crowded over the cliff and went over to look...

.

On investigation they found that a small boy had fallen from the cliff and there is no hope to save him.

Those henchmen assumed it as Jeason... So they returned to Don and reported him that they couldn't retrieve his body as he fell down the cliff....

.

The very next Jaeson's uncle Don held funeral for him which he came to know through the news article...

.

.

Likewise his painful memories stinged his heart all time which flashed through his mind... A drop of tear appeared through the corner of his eye flowing down his scared cheek...

.

On that day, those incidents not only left a scar in his heart but also in his face...

.

.

At that night, unfortunately it was Jaeson who fell over the cliff but luckily he grabbed a tree root that extended through the side cliff...

.

He hunged onto the branch as dear life, scared to make even a tinge of sound...

Then the passerby people noticed it and helped him up... His face was severely wounded when he fell down... They asked him the details about him but he refused to answer...

.

.

One among the crowd was the Director of the Happy Home orphanage... So he decided to take him to the orphanage...

It took Jaeson about two to three months to open up to the Director while undergoing the treatment for his injuries... The doctors said "The wound in the face is treated but it may take years for the scar to disappear, so it is not entirely hopeless..."

.

He lived a simple yet peaceful life in the orphanage... The Director of the home suggested him to change Jaeson's name as it may help him keep his identity from his uncle....

.

But, Jaeson refused politely saying "This name is the only thing that I have among which my parents left for me... My name is the least trace for their proof of living.... So I would like to remain as Jaeson Ron till death..."

.

He took break in his studies for an year to recuperate... Later he took an entrance exam to compensate his year of break in XX Middle school where the Principal is Director's acquaintance...

.

Jaeson is actually smart, so he obviously cleared that exam and acquired sponsorship for his studies from the school board...

.

.

Naturally when the word got out, most of his classmates were envious of his brilliance and smartness leading to prejudiced against him... He tried to maintain a good relation with them but only to get disappointed...

.

Those classmates were the worst cruliest people to meet in one's life... They started bullying him for no other peculiar reason but for the scar in his face...

.

.

Most of the words he heard in his Middle school are, "Ugly", "Monster", "Devil head", etc.,

On the whole he got accustommed to these thinking that this life itself is a big gift to him....

.

.

For a 14 year old boy these are too much to handle... He even put up with these until that snowy evening...

.

On the way back to his home, some of his classmates lead him to an isolated area and started beating him...

But Jaeson didn't even bother to struggle to get beaten up... He was beaten to pulp to stage of losing conscious....

Suddenly there was a creaching sound pierced Jaeson's ears startling the bullies... The voice was very melodious but loud enough to attract the attention of all those bullies...

.

Infact that voice made Jaeson to not loose his consciousness and stay awake...

.

.

Everyone including Jaeson looked over the direction where the sound came from...

.

.

They all saw a petite figure bundled in a pink sweater and scarf with small arms wearing matching gloves struggling with her short legs marching towards them in that heavy snow...
