Chapter 1 : Fall of the six

"Power they call it ,"the ruler of Arigatou whispered to himself "Well lets tear it down" .The screams of the Arigatou forces could be heard from a distance as they were wrecking havoc in the little hidden village of Tamal. The inhabitants of Tamal had been caught off guard by the attack so they were failing miserably to defend their village.All they could do was watch as their village was being torn to pieces."Sontlem metelon,"someone whispered and out of the blue came an assassin dressed like figure from the shadows .He wore a black outfit and his eyes were glowing black "Soulmenn," he finished enchanting his spell and in the blink of an eye he was infront of Arigatou's commander.The commander did not have time to react to what was happening and the next thing he knew was that he was missing an arm .The assassin like figure had dismantled it clean with his Sycthe .Before the commander had even fell off his horse ,the assassin like figure was already slashing his way through the forces of Arigatou .Amaldor of the Arigatou forces saw what had happened to the commander who was also his brother and was overwhelmed by anger which caused him to allow himself to be taken over by the demon figure which was floating behind him .The demon was more like an amor which he had been given by the leader of Arigatou and it would only take over in dire situations .The process was painful as Almador screamed and fell to his knees."Finally my time has come,"Amaldor said slowly in a menacing tone .He slowly raised his head, griped his katana and went straight for the assassin like figure's head .The assassin like figure managed to dodge the strike and the fight between the two quickly became intense .Amaldor's strikes became more harder and harder to predict and defend ."Is every attack getting stronger or lm just running out of juice,"the figure thought to himself as he has been hurt during the fight with the soliders.One had actually managed to stab him.Amaldor backed from the fight to give himself some space .Ounce he was at a safe distance he took his stance holding his sword with a firm grip and the next moment he was behind the figure's back .The figure coughed and he was spitting blood .Amaldor had made a clear cut on the figure's abdomen.The figure fell to his knees and was slowly getting dizzy .Amaldor turned around with a grin smile of satisfaction .He raised his katana to give a final blow and just as he was about to strike, his katana was struck out of his hand with a kunai ."Couldn't you just have let us see what would have happened it's not like he was going to allow himself to be killed .Where you gonna allow yourself to be killed big brother,"a voice came from the darkness ."Well it's done now lets go save our idiot of a brother Ostrus ,"another voice said "Ok," Ostrus replied gauging his first attack with flash step while holding his dagger in his right hand ."Just hang on a little longer Soli ,we are on our way," Ostrus chuckled in a mocking way ."Aaaaah yes more fools to put down ,"Amaldor screamed in a frightening tone "How about you use one of your kunais to cover me Kame ,l need to close in on my distance,"Ostrus yelled .As Ostrus closed in on his distance two kunais flew past his head meeting with his opponent first .Ostrus attacked the moment that Amaldor was dogging the kunais but his efforts were a failure .Amaldor's swiftness and flexibility was precise which made him an impossible target."l think lm gonna help Ostrus ,you three go deal with the army."Kame told told his younger sisters Kiara,Euline and Taline ."Ok,"they all replied and headed straight for the army ."Sooo lets do this,"Kame said taking out his two katanas which had a chain in the middle .Kame hoped in the middle of the fight between Ostrus and Amaldor ."Ayy no fair there's two of you and you are all armed.What about me."Amaldor said ."There is no such thing as no fair in do or die battle so eat it up,"Ostrus replied."Are you gonna join us or are gonna keep kneeling there Soli."Kame yelled in a frustrated tone meanwhile the sisters were swatting the forces like flies .Soli (the figure)stood up slowly , enchanted a few words and his physic was temporally boosted but he could still feel the pain .The three brothers attacked Amaldor mercilessly and managed to put him on his knees .Seeing the opportunity Ostrus rushed in to give the final blow but as he was about to strike the arm holding the dagger was cut off .The other brothers screamed and yelled but it was too late .The brothers were confused not knowing what had happened .Converging circles started forming infront of Ostrus. "Ohhh so that's how he got me."Ostrus thought to himself as he was falling to the ground .The circles were growing larger and that's when Soli realised what had happened .A katana was poking through one of the holes and it was dripping with blood ."No! it can't be ,l thought he wasn't supposed to be on site,"Kame whispered to himself ."Ohhh but it is,"Amaldor chuckled as he drew his last breath and fell to the ground .The circles grew bigger whilst interlocking forming a portal.When the portal was done a humongous figure walked through dressed like a shogun ."Abandon all hope and kneel if you wish to be sparred."the figure said in an earth shaking voice .The figure was known as the Demon Bearer .The nickname came from the katana he carried which was said to be cursed by demons that who ever would try to come in contact with it would turn into dust the instant they touched it but he had managed to wield it with no problem.The katana allowed the user to summon demons for an unknown reason.When the Demon Bearer finished what he was saying all his soldiers fell to their knees."Guess there is no retreat now brothers and sisters let's end this,"Kame yelled at his siblings and they all joined his side."Time to go all out,"Soli said.They all charged towards The Demon Bearer with Kame in the lead ,they were using a triangle like formation . The Demon Bearer gripped the ground with his right foot and focused all his strength in that foot.It was like he was charging it.The Demon Bearer took off aiming straight for Kame .Kame swung his katanas and The Demon Bearer dogged them by teleporting behind Kame giving him a kick at he back which sent him flying through the battle field."Ouch how did you even do l thought that technique was lost long back,"Kame said in a complaining tone."Being able to hold the demon summoner comes with it's benefits l guess,"Soli replied.The Demon Bearer went straight for Soli as soon as he had gained balance from his attack against Kame.Soli reacted slow since he had already lost a lot of blood and the boost was starting to wear off.The next second Soli had a katana sticking in his abdomen sucking his life."No!!!,"the sisters screamed all charging for The Demon Bearer.The Demon Bearer jumped a backwards .Kiara took Soli and retreated whilst Euline and Taline went for the Baerer.They were going toe to toe with The Demon Bearer.Kiara escaped the battle scene and left Soli somewhere safe or at least she thought.The area she had left him had two undercover soliders of The Demon Bearer."Help me,"Ostrus screamed "Find me my dagger."Kiara rushed to Ostrus with a dagger she had picked from a dead soldier on her way back."You two hurry over here."Kame yelled."We're on our w.....,"Kiara was interrupted by a katana in her chest and the blood she was starting to cough. The Demon Bearer had teleported behind and stabbed her from the back and then gave Ostrus a powerful kick in the face which knocked him out.Kiara staggered trying to move to her brothers and sisters but she was

too weak.She stumbled and fell to her knees."You're next,"The Demon Bearer said to the other sisters giving them no time to cry.The Demon Bearer used flash step to go straight for the other sisters which he took out with one blow.The Demon Bearer slowly stood up looked around and grinned,"This one won't be any trouble now he has lost his will to fight,"he said in a satisfied tone.Kame just stood there like a statue watching the horrors in his sight.The Demon Bearer used the flash step again going for Kame.Kame reacted at the last possible moment.He dogged the katana, gave The Demon Bearer a kick on his pelvis and broke it.Kame also threw two of his katana's which managed to penetrate The Demon Bearer's back.The Demon Bearer didn't scream or show any signs of pain he just turned around, grinned and fell into his portal retreating.Kame fell to his knees only to find the solders back on their feet all gunning for him.Kame took care of the forces but by the time he was done he gushing.He fell to his knees again to finally rest.Blood was everywhere.The master of the warriors arrived at the area only to be greeted by a gruesome scene. She looked for her students and she cried as she found them one by one all at the brink of death."No, you can't die yet.lm sorry for what l am about to do,"said the master with teary eyes.She took out a fox assassin mask.She held it high above her head ,enchanted a few words and then finished with the words may thy souls aline.The bodies of her pupils started to glow in different colors like something was being obstructed from them.A bell rang."And with that the story of The Battle of Tamal ends here .Please leave your homework books in this box before you go out,"the history teacher said wiping his glasses."The teachers are always talking bullshit imagine magic in this world,"a guy said to his friend as they were leaving the classroom."You never know maybe it happened plus magic is real we see it all the time on tv,"his friend replied."So you are a believer of this staff huh,Shina."the guy replied."No not the story but magic well kinda anyways let's go home Tamaro,"Shina replied."The bell is ringing."he continued."Come over l got this new game l wanna show you,"Tamaro enquired."No can't do,l told you lm grounded,"Shina replied as they walked out the classroom door.Once they were out they started zooming down the corridor going for the school gate.Tamaro passed through the gate first and shouted "Guess you are bringing lunch money tomorrow ,see yah,"and he waved as he rushed home.Shina just waved back and started walking the opposite side."Just imagine."Shina whispered to himself as he was thinking about the battle of Tamal he had just learnt.Shina arrived home and he was excited .He wanted to play with his little sisters.Good afternoon mother he said rushing towards his room."Afternoon mister,"she replied.Shina changed and came back in the dining room."So where's Tamayo and Talil," he asked."They are not back yet would you mind going after them?" the mother asked."No not at all,"Shina replied and he went out looking for them.He first went to the play grounds since they usually hanged out there but they were not available.He headed to the shops thinking they were there but they couldn't be found.He decided to head back home thinking they might already be there by now since it was getting dark.On his way back home he came by an alley and heard someone sobbing and went to check it out.The scene in front of him left him with mixed emotions.Fear, anger, hatred and sorrow clouded his being from top to bottom.Infront of him was blood and two little girls.One was holding the other.The little girls were Tamal and Talil.Tamal was holding Talil who was bleeding.There was also another person who was there.A tall guy dressed in all black holding a swiss knife.He rushed towards Shina and stabbed him in the chest.Shina fell on his knees and the guy ran to the other end of the alley where another guy on a motorcycle was waiting for him.He hoped on the motorcycle and they were out of site.Shina stood up went to his little sister and slowly took Talil out of Tamayo's hands."May thy souls aline,"someone said and Shina turned to look around but there was no one."It must be in my head,"Shina thought.He slowly walked home with his little sister in his hands and the other one on his back.He was silently crying.When he arrived he knelt on the door and slowly put his little sister down and knocked.His mother opened the door with a smile only for it to turn upside down.Tears began to roll down her cheeks.She took her baby and hugged her.Shina fell unconscious from the blood loss.The police arrived after a little while and Shina was rushed to the hospital.Shina was unconscious for two days and he woke up on the third day.When he woke up his mother and little sister were sitting on the bed.He was overjoyed to see them there that he hugged them at the same time and squeezed them tight then he started whispering lm sorry repeatedly."It's not your fault," the mother replied softly.The fourth day the Shina was discharged from the hospital.He arrived exactly when Tali's funeral was about to begin.His mother had refused to let Talil be buried without the presence of his brother.The funeral consisted of very few people.The attendees were Shina's mother,Tamayo,Shina's best friend and his family and Shina himself."This wouldn't have happened if he was still here,"Shina whispered to his mother in the midst of the ritual."And worst of he didn't even bother to come,"he continued."Maybe it is for the best,"his mother replied.After the rituals they carried the body to the graveyard.Shina noticed an old lady starring from a distance while the coffin was being lowered into the dirt.Shina didn't put her into mind and just thought it a visitor who had come to see their dead relatives.When all was finished and Shina was about to head home that's when the lady approached him.She offered her condolences and quickly left."Mother...do you know who that was,"Shina asked in a puzzled tone.To Shina's surprise nobody had a clue who the lady was.In the afternoon two man in black suits arrived at Shina's home and asked a few questions.Shina was surprised by most of the questions they were asking but he managed to answer all of them."Thanks lots,"the man said as they went on their way.That night Shina couldn't sleep.His head was filled with the thoughts of what could have happened only if he had reached the alley earlier.He suddenly burst into tears and began to cry.His mother who was passing by his door rushed to in to comfort him."Shhhhh my baby boy, it's alright l am here,"his mother softly whispered.His mother had placed his head on her knees and he managed to sleep that way though his tears were still spilling."Nooo, don't do that,"Shina screamed in his dreams.His mother shook him slowly and gently to wake him up."It's just a dream,"she whispered.The next morning Shina was surprised to wake up on his mother's knees."Wakey ,wakey sleepy head,"his mother said with a smile."Mom,"Shina said in a low and sleepy voice ,"Did you get any sleep tonight?"he continued with a question."Yes l did."

"Liar you've been here the whole night , haven't you."

"Yes l slept right here,anyways how are you feeling today."

"Everything is fine l guess."

"Ok then l will go make my boy his breakfast."

"Thank you ma l will be down in a gify."

Shina took a quick bath and his friend came by during the afternoon to collect him.Shina wanted to deny the invitation but his mother pushed him to go out since it was the weekend."Today lm gonna make you have some fun."his friend said as they went to the mall.They went into the game shop first.They played and exchanged turns for a while."l have to visit the bathroom."Shina told his friend."Ok but don't be too long, it's almost your turn to play."his friend replied."Ok."Shina said as he ran off to the toilets section.As he was coming back from the toilets, Shina decided to run away from his friend.He ran to his father's house. It didn't take him a lot of time since the house was near the mall.He knocked softly on the door and waited for his answer."Who is it."a male voice asked but Shina remained quiet and knocked again.As the door was opening, Shina got a glimpse of who it was and threw his hardest punch ever.The punch landed on his father's jaw."Damm you little brat, what's this about.Your mother sent you again."his father asked spitting out his tooth and some blood.His father looked like he was in his mid forties."No, mum has nothing to do with this.Why didn't you come to the funeral,"Shina asked.

"Who's funeral."

"Your daughter's you idiot."

"Well my daughter is alive and well in here."

"No the one you left with mum."

"Ohh her, l told you we are not family anymore Shina."

Shina cursed and aimed another punch at his father's jaw again but this time his father was ready for him. Shina's father dogged the punch."Lights out young one,"Shina's father said aiming his fist at Shina.Shina's face made contact with his father's fist which sent him slamming into the balcony. Shina blacked out and his father slammed his door leaving him outside unconscious. "Who was that father ,"a boy's voice asked ,"and why did he say that Miriam is dead."

"Just ignore it,"the father replied as his footsteps stomped off.Shina woke up many hours later. He cursed a little and began his journey home. His jaw was killing him. He was passing by the alley which his sister had been murdered and suddenly froze infront of it.He starred at it as he thought of what he could have done to save her."It's not your fault,"a voice whispered from behind him. Shina turned around and there was no one behind him. Shina starred back in the alley and before him at the far end of the alley stood a woman who seemed old. His heart began to race and many thoughts were flooding his mind."Is that the killer,Is he following me ,Am l next ,What should l do ."Shina's thoughts were pacing in his head one after another."Do not be afraid child lm here to help.You and you are meant for big things."the voice said trying to soothe Shina. Shina blinked and in the next moment the cloaked women was infront of Shina. The young boy freaked out and fell to the ground backwards. The women reached out her hand to help out Shina. Shina doubted her for a while then finally decided to take her hand.As soon as he was up the lady took out a fox mask and handed it to Shina. "May thy souls aline ."were her last words before she vanished. "Wake up Shina." Shina was surprised because it was his mother waking him up and he woke up in midst of the streets.
