Chapter 01
Jingyi let out a shrugged as he put his chin on his palm.
The midterm exam was just right around the corner.
And just like other students, Jingyi was currently in the library studying.
Jingyi groaned putting his head on the desk.
Kai just look at him for a moment before putting his eyes back to the book he's reading.
Jingyi look up and stare at the man in front of him.
A man with a flawless skin, proud and pointed nose, hair as dark as ebony and perfectly cut jaw.
Jingyi
"Look at that, Mr. Perfectly Fine, can you share your secret potion to me?"
Jingyi teased and let out a soft and cute chuckle.
Kai close his book and place it on the table, he then look at Jingyi with a straight and cold face.
Kai
"Secrets are meant to be hidden"
Jingyi just shrugged and rolled his eyes.
Jingyi
"You're no fun Kai yah"
Kai just rolled his eyes and crossed his arms around his chest.
Kai
"If i were you Mister, i will focus on my textbooks and notes than sitting on that chair ranting about how hard Mathematics was"
Jingyi pouted his lips and groan sitting straight and continue reading his notes.
A small smile escape from Kai's lips while stealing a few glances on the man in front of him.
Jingyi and Kai spend the rest of their time on the library, after they finished studying.
Jingyi and Kai were now walking back to the village.
The two of them were childhood friends, their families were close too, and they always stick together. They were also neighbors.
Jingyi
"So i was thinking, if im going to spend the semester break on the province or im gonna stay here at home"
Jingyi and Kai were walking side by side.
Kai was walking casually, while Jingyi was eating some ice cream.
Kai
"I thought you and Auntie are going to the Busan this semester break?"
Jingyi
"No, Mom are going to have a business trip, so it's either im going to my grandparents place or stay at home"
Jingyi said and smile.
Kai can't help but to be drawn for a few seconds. Jingyi really never fails to make his heart skips a beat.
Kai already mastered the art of pretending and covering up his emotion. That's why he was so hard to read, even his mother doesn't know what's going on, inside his head.
Thanks to this, Jingyi was clueless about what he feels towards him.
Yes, Kai was in love, madly in love with his childhood friend.
But he didn't want Jingyi to know about it because he knew that it will ruin the special bond they have.
For him
It's better to lost the opportunity to be with Jingyi, than to lost the friendship he and Jingyi have shared for almost a decade.
Jingyi
"Kai yah are you okay?"
Kai look at Jingyi when he felt his finger poking his cheeks.
Jingyi
"Aww, Mr. Daydreamer were dreaming in a broad daylight again"
Jingyi teased and let out a soft giggles.
Kai look at him with an emotionless face.
He hold Jingyi's finger and gently bit it's tip, causing Jingyi to get flustered and instantly remove his finger from Kai.
Kai's lips formed a devilish smirk
Kai
"Daydreamer is a person who often thinks about doing something else or being somewhere else, instead of paying attention to what is happening where they are now"
Kai
"So i guess i am a daydreamer"
Jingyi look at him with a disbelief.
Jingyi
(Dang it this guy, was literally insane)
Jingyi let out a soft chuckle and pinch the tip of Kai's nose.
Jingyi
"Yeah yeah Mr. Dictionary let's just walk faster okay?"
After Jingyi said those words, he started to walk faster whistling looking so carefree.
Kai just look at Jingyi and can't help but to smile.
Kai
(That guy, really smells so sweet)
As the snow fall, a single flower bloom.
In the middle of the meadow full of snow, a single heart started to beat.
