Daffodils
daffodils poems¹
𝑑𝑎𝑓𝑓𝑜𝑑𝑖𝑙𝑠²
She wore her yellow sun-bonnet,
𝑑𝑎𝑓𝑓𝑜𝑑𝑖𝑙𝑠²
she wore her greenest gown;
𝑑𝑎𝑓𝑓𝑜𝑑𝑖𝑙𝑠²
she turned to the south wind
𝑑𝑎𝑓𝑓𝑜𝑑𝑖𝑙𝑠²
And curtsied up and down.
𝑑𝑎𝑓𝑓𝑜𝑑𝑖𝑙𝑠²
She turned to the sunlight
𝑑𝑎𝑓𝑓𝑜𝑑𝑖𝑙𝑠²
and shook her yellow head,
𝑑𝑎𝑓𝑓𝑜𝑑𝑖𝑙𝑠²
And wishpered to her neighbour:
𝑑𝑎𝑓𝑓𝑜𝑑𝑖𝑙𝑠²
"Winter is dead."

I often daydreamed as a child if i
𝑑𝑎𝑓𝑓𝑜𝑑𝑖𝑙𝑠²
had drifted away, just wandered
𝑑𝑎𝑓𝑓𝑜𝑑𝑖𝑙𝑠²
Lost and lonely,
𝑑𝑎𝑓𝑓𝑜𝑑𝑖𝑙𝑠²
Could I come back changed,
𝑑𝑎𝑓𝑓𝑜𝑑𝑖𝑙𝑠²
Narcissus , a beautiful Daffodil , or a
𝑑𝑎𝑓𝑓𝑜𝑑𝑖𝑙𝑠²
floating and majestic cloud?
