Bump!

"ow!" Nathan yelped

"Ug.. Oh! I'm sorry, are you hurt?" Nick asked in a gentle voice

"huh? Oh, yeah i'm-" Nathan looked up and was stunned. How could anyone be this handsome? Nathan's cheeks turned slightly pink at the sight. "fine.." Nathan continued the sentence.

Nick lend Nathan a hand to help him to stand up. Nathan gladly accepted it. Nick apologized and Nathan too. They left for their classes. On Nathan's way to his class, his heart couldn’t stop beating so fast. Nathan felt like it would break out if this continues. He couldn’t stop thinking about Nick. Nathan fell inlove with Nick.. With just that.

The next day, Nathan got to school and sat on his seat. Nathan's class is so dry, like there are some rumors and gossip stuffs, but he isn't into that stuff and the class clown isn't that funny in his opinion (or maybe Nathan is just dry). The bell rang and everyone who was seated in their seat stood up and left the classroom, including Nathan, going to the canteen, field, outdoor, etc. Nathan was at the canteen, eating his food. Today was so boring, is what he thought until he saw Nick holding hands with a girl. wait wait what?! Holding hands?! They are probably siblings.. But what if they arent?.. Nathan's mind was a mess after he saw Nick holding hands with Teresa, the girl whose shorter than Nick and probably Nathan too.

After that day, Nathan kept on seeing Nick with Teresa beside him. It made Nathan slightly annoyed and sad. Nathan was at his class, zoning out. Nathan's ears moved up (like a dog) when Nathan heard Nick's name being in the gossip. Nathan heard the gossip girls in Nathan's class gossiping about Nick and teresa. Nathan doesn't want to believe them when he heard that they are dating. Was Nathan too late?

Nathan doesn't believe in rumors and gossips.

"Why is this question so hard?" Nathan growled, he was tired of thinking. Nathan was startled when he felt a tap on his shoulder. Nathan looked up. Nathan and Nick's face was so close, one movement can make them accidentally K.I.S.S.!! Nathan quickly looked away.

"need help?" Nick asked gently.

"uh.. Yeah.. This question..p-please.." Nathan said nervously

Nick knew that Nathan was embarrassed.

"no need to be embarrassed or nervous" Nick said as he continues to teach Nathan the way of doing the question correctly.

Nick suddenly held Nathan's hands, showing Nathan how to do it. Nathan's heart was beating so fast, anyone near him can hear his heart beating. Nathan hoped Nick didn't hear it.

The pile of papers Nathan was holding fell down and it scattered around the floor.

"g0ddämn it! I need to be careful or else the other paper will fall too" after Nathan said that, some of the papers fell too. Nathan stayed quiet.

"FÜCĶ!!!!" Nathan cursed himself. "Why did I jinx it!?" Nathan was suffering, it was a mess at the hallway. Nathan was picking up the papers slowly and carefully. Nick saw this and decided to help Nathan. Nathan's heart fluttered and said thanks when the papers are completely and properly stacked again.

Nathan and Nick often bumped into eachother and helped eachother. Nathan thought that Nick liked him too. But when Nathan heard that rumor, he felt his heart cracked.

And today, is the day Nathan can finally know the answers. He was going to confess. Nathan already told Nick to met him at the rooftop, the place where it is perfect for both rejection and acceptance, after school. Likewise, school had just ended a few minutes ago and Nathan was sprinting to the rooftop, hoping Nick was/is still there.

Nathan got there and saw Nick and the girl, Teresa.. Nick thought Teresa was the one who called him here. Nathan felt his heart breaking when he saw them both kiss after Teresa confessed. Nathan's knees gave up and he fell down on the floor. It was suppose to be me not her.. Nathan felt like crying right there, his little soft heart can’t handle this.. Nick.. Nick... Nathan used his last energy to ran home. When Nathan was home, he quickly went up to his room, ignoring his parents calling for him. Nathan doesn't want to go to school anymore.

"Why?" is what Nathan could think for the whole day.

A few months later, Nathan has enough courage to confess for the second time.

"Nick, I.. How do i say this... I like you.. No.. I love you, i'm just saying this to let my feelings off my chest." Nathan confessed.

"Nathan.. I-"

"you dont have to apologize or anything like that just say a simple 'no thank you' is enough for me to understand" Nathan interrupted Nick's sentence

"Nathan.. I.. can’t like you.. But i do... Love you too.."

Silence..

"huh..?"

"I love you too. But I can’t.. I'm in a relationship now.. Sorry" Nick bowed down.

Nathan was silent. "y..you like me..?" Nathan took some few seconds to process it into his head. "ah.. I get it.. Dont worry.. I'll wait" Nathan showed a warm and soft smile, though Nathan knew Nick liked him, Nathan still felt like crying there. It was both rejection and acceptance he received. It was hard to control his tears

The day foward was hard for Nathan to go through. Nathan has to see Nick and Teresa's lovely-dovely relationship. Nick looks happy with her.

Maybe… No … I can make Nick happier than she could ever do… But… I don't want to destroy their relationship… Nick looks like he's having the time of his life with her. They also look too… Good together… I shouldn't interfere with their lives... I'm just an inferior to them… Maybe… Just maybe… I could move on from Nick...
