The god is back! I am Bokuto Kotaro, currently going into my third year of Fukurodani high school. My best friend, Akaashi Keiji, has been accompanying me all these years. I, the best team captain, will now walk into the gym.
“Hey, Bokuto!” Akaashi yelled.
Before I could respond, a volleyball came flying at me. If you still don’t know who I am and what I do, let me tell you. I am the team captain of our school’s volleyball team. Last year, our team advanced to the nationals. We have many friends from other teams around Japan. Our favorite team? Ourselves, of course!
This year, we are determined to win and defeat all who come in our way! We will definitely go win nationals and become Japan’s number one team.
“Are you okay?” Akaashi came running at me and everyone stopped practicing. “Why were you spacing out when there’s a ball coming for you?”
My junior came to me and apologized for his terrible mistake. “I am feeling happy today, so I will let you off, now go practice.” “Yes, sir!” He answered seriously.
Akaashi looked at me and shook his head in disbelief. “What’s wrong Akaashi?”
He looked away and said, “Nothing.”
I turned to leave for the club room. Before going, I quickly gave Akaashi a big wave to tell him I was leaving.
The familiar scent of sweat and dust hung in the air. There were clothes and towels thrown around the room. I quickly changed into my blue t-shirt and went back to the gym.
Before entering, I prepared a little speech and entrance. But then it hit me, I forgot to brush my hair after the volleyball incident.
Quickly, I ran back to the club room. While rummaging through my bag, I found the old water bottle I had been searching for since the last semester. When I opened the cap, I realized that there was mold growing from the lemon slices in the bottle. Disgusted, I threw the bottle into the trash. I had also found a stuffed bear.
After ten minutes, I finally found my hair brush and my mirror. “Mwahahahaha” I laughed, “you can't run from me!”
Just as I praised myself for finding the brush, the stairs outside squeaked. I gasped in fear, is it a kidnapper?
I quickly turned off the lights and held up a broom nearby to aim it at the door. My life depends on this one swing. I will die if I miss.
The door slowly opened. When it opened enough for me to hit the enemy, I closed my eyes shut and swung the broom as if my life depends on it - and it probably does.
“WHAT THE HELL BOKUTO?!?!” The kidnapper yelled.
“Ahhhhhhh!” I screamed loudly, “The kidnapper knows my name!”
The dark figure moved towards me and turned on the lights. Instead of a menacing kidnapper, Akaashi’s face showed up.
It’s okay, I know I’m hot!
