Chapter 01
A boy stirs from his slumber as the first rays of the day gently filtered through his curtains. His eyelids fluttered open, adjusting to the soft light that illuminated his room. Stretching his arms above his head, he yawned, feeling the remnants of sleep dissipate as he blinked away the last traces of drowsiness.
With a spring in his step, the boy swung his legs out of bed and padded across the room toward the bathroom.
The boy got ready for college. He washed his face, brushed his teeth, and put on his college clothes. Then, he packed his bag with his books and stuff he needed. Finally, he left his house to go to college.
As the boy approached the college gate, a familiar face caught his eye. A friend he hadn't seen in a while. A smile spread across his face as he quickened his pace to greet the person.
In his haste to reach the college gate, the boy's foot collided with an unnoticed stone, sending him tumbling to the ground in a sudden and unexpected fall. As he lay there, momentarily stunned, he couldn't help but curse his own carelessness.
