IT'S AFTERNOON TIME

Ella return from her college to her PG room. She lives with 3 other girls of same age in the PG house. It is a guest house with two bedrooms and one dining area, one kitchen and one common bathroom attached. Each bedroom has one bunk bed and two reading desks in each.

After reaching home she didn't see anyone in the room. Well she knows the reason. The 2 roommates of the other bedroom has evening classes so they'll return home around night.

And her roommate, Sammy went for her dance class and also will be back at night. So after reaching the room Ella went to refrigerator and take out the milk and water bottle. She feels very tired and sleepy so she quickly make cornflakes and eat it. And leaving the pot in the sink she went to bed.

Ella's bed is the ground bed and Sammy's bed is the upper one.

Wheh she enter the room unexpectedly she saw Sammy on her bed lying down, back facing her.

Ella thought in her mind : (Strange, didn't she go for dance class? Is she sick? Is she sleeping?)

Ella: Sammy, are you sick?

Getting no answer and being too sleepy she went to her own bed and lie down.

After few minutes passes, she suddenly heard a sound of rustling on the upper bed

Ella (in mind): (Maybe Sammy is awake now.)

But just then a call comes in her phone. She takes her phone. But when she read the caller ID *Sammy'

"Huh?"

She said to the person above : Sammy, why are you calling me? You can just tell-

Her voice stuck in her throat seeing the next scene...a lady with long hair peeking from the upper bunk bed directly towards her . And that lady's face is white pale , eye dark red.

Ella couldn't scream and that person isn't blinking. Instead she gives a creepy smile to Ella tilting her head a little saying 'Hello' to Ella.

Her voice was UNEARTHLY and it gives a chill through Ella's spine. She managed to pick up the phone but couldn't utter a word. From the other side of phone Sammy is saying 'hello, Ella. Why aren't you answering?'

Then the lady from the upper bunker jump down to the ground and run towards the window and jump from there.

Ella's soul almost left her body seeing her jump and she witnessed the whole thing and then fainted.

After half an hour her roommate worriedly come back. She also calls the other roommates too.

After waking up Ella keep staring at the window. Who was that lady? Where did she go? Was she a human? But the room is in 5th floor. And there is no Balcony or tree outside the window to climb down.

WHO WAS SHE?

Ren lives with his poor grandma after his parents passing. One evening after returning from school he cook rice and boiled potato for both of them. His grandma collects bottles for their daily living so he help out at home. After he is done he open his notebook to study. Then his eyes falls on the scribble drawing of a watermelon 🍉 he scribbled once. His little mind feels with overjoy.

WHY?

Because his grandma promised that she will bring watermelon today. In this summar when it's common for other boys to eat whatever however it's not the case for Ren and his grandma. They just manage to go by their day somehow.

After awhile sudden storm arises. Whole sky covered with black clouds. It's going to heavy rain soon.

Ren got worried. "WHEN WILL GRANDMA COME?"

*Knock knock*

 "Ren"

Ren ran to door after getting his grandma's voice. He opens the door seeing his grandma with her hair unsettled due to the heavy storm. And in one hand 'WATERMELON'. He overjoyed.

'Grandma, you bought watermelon?'

She smiles 'Of course. My Ren first time wanted something from this poor old woman'

'You are the best grandma in the world'

She passed the watermelon to him. 'Grandma, I have already cooked'

'Then let's go, eat quickly'

'You eat, I'll eat after studying'

AFTER FEW MINUTES

'Ren, give me some more food.'

Ren goes to give more food noticing the food is almost finished.

Grandma - Hurry up, I'm very hungry.'

Ren feels her behaviour unusual

(Did she work more today?)

Ren -'Ok' (I'll just eat the watermelon if I feel hungry)

He give the rest to his Grandma.

'Maybe she is really hungry today'.

Then he returns to study.

*Knock knock*

'Anyone is home?' A person said from outside.

Ren opens the door and see police. He gets worried.

'Yes?'

'Child, is any adult is at home?'

'My grandma. But she is eating.'

'What! Your grandma?'

'Yes'

'But how is this possible?'

As he said that another officer brings the thing with him

A WATERMELON 🍉

'This is the thing your grandma want to handover to you before passing away'

Ren's eyes got bigger

'How is it possible? My grandma is inside. What passing away?'

'She got into an accident while crossing road and when suddenly the storm begins. She couldn't see the red light'

'NONSENSE'

Ren runs to the place she was eating

THERE WAS NO ONE EXCEPT THE PLATE WITH HALF EATEN RICE.

Police inspector comes to the boy and see the boy is hysterically crying on the floor.

"GRANDMA" the child's heartwrenching cry fills up the air.

"I won't want to watermelon anymore, grandma. Please come back to me."

"I don't need watermelon, I need you only, Argh"

The officer couldn't help but feel sorry for the boy and caress his back.

Inspector thought in his mind - (MAYBE HER SOUL CAME TO SEE HIM FOR LAST TIME)

14th February

Locker no. 14

As usual David's locker is flooded with chocolates and letters. Making most of the boys in the class jelous of him.

"Really, You so popular, bro. Why not accept some proposal sometime instead of being single all the time?" *Poke poke* Max, David's best friend from childhood said.

Rolling his eyes David said " Come on, Max. Stop chattering and let's go. We're getting late for class"

"Hmph, show off. He just fear his popularity will decrease if he dates"

"Damn, who knows he might just be a playboy behind the scene" Remark some of their jealous classmates.

Paying no mind to them they both leave.

After school ends David brings all the letters and chocolates with him.

After going through some letters his eyes stuck on that usual type of letter

★A LETTER CLOSED WITH A LEAF CLOVER 🍀★

He recognises it. He expected another silly joke in it. But to his surprise it was a bit different today.

"Hello, Locker no. 14, do you know why I attach a 4 leaves clover on the letter?"

David shake his head unconsciously as if he is having a face to face conversation with the owner of the letter.

"It's means I have faith in you, and it may bring you good luck. Also I hope my unbound love reach to you"

Reading that David can't say he isn't moved to some extent.

*Chuckle* "That's very thoughtful"

Then he noticed in the end part of the letter

"Did it make you smile?"

He nods unconsciously again. And when realisation hits him about his action he covers his face with one hands in embarrassment

"Hah, am I a silly goose? Haha"

He kept that letter inside his diary. I guess I'll have to meet this person soon.

David then go through some more letters absent mindedly until his attention catch a letter which wasn't hand written rather it's a printed letter

"Strange"

He expected this one a duel challenge or something but unexpectedly it was a simple awkward love letter.

"Was it a dare or something? Must be tough for her then"

David come to the last letter

"Baby you light up my world like nobody else~ *Cough* can I meet you the day after tomorrow behind the school building?"

"Bwahahahaha, this person seems fan of songs and silly????"

Shaking head he kept all the letters in a box

NEXT DAY

after school he find his usual letter "Joke letter"

He keep it in bag with a chuckle. And he places a letter vertically on his locker's back wall

'FOR YOU 🍀' Written on it.

FOLLOWING DAY

David arrives early to see whoever the person is. He gets shocked.

The student known as "Unlucky 3" the timid chubby girl of the class.

After school

"Locker no. 3"

She turns around hearing her name. First time being face to face with her crush, she is bearing a shrinken posture, fiddling with her uniform.

"What's your name?"

"S-Shanaya J-"

"Yeah, right, so Shanaya, actually. I asked you to wait here because I got your letter"

*Nod*

" Thank you for those"

Kindling a ray of hope Shanaya looks up

"But I'm sorry. I can't return your feelings" David said, his eyes hold no emotions.

Shanaya's heart break even though she knew it's gonna happen one day.

"Ah, I understand. Thank you for giving me a clear answer"

Saying that she turns and run off to the turn of the corridor. And take a deep breath after reaching there to hold back her tears from falling.

"Girl, don't be upset. Sometimes what meets the eyes is really not the case"

She snapped her head sideways and see Max.

"You"

On the other side

"David, good job."

"People should know their place and understand that not to play with baby shark even if it's a baby"

The person leaves giving David a compliment while humming

"Baby shark do do do dododododo~"
