Rose was running around in the market clutching her grocery back close to her chest . The sun was setting and the market was almost deserted, she had spent too much time buying foodstuffs. She had one more thing to buy before heading home but she had to do it fast , before the sun goes down completely ,because she didn’t want to encounter any vampires.

Relief filled her heart when she finally arrived at the milk shop , that was the last ingredient she needed. Without wasting more time she ran inside and shut the door behind her just to see the owner already getting ready to go home

“Rose? Why are you out so late ? You should be home by now , you know how dangerous it will get “ an old man said will a lot of concern in his voice

“Yes I know uncle Zane , I just need to get 2 liters of milk real quick “ Rose said with some beads of sweat running down her face

“Fine” Uncle Zane said and quickly measured the milk and gave it to her , she paid and turned to leave.

“I would have loved to take you home but you know I have to get home to my wife and kids so please be safe ok ? “ Uncle Zane said and after he and Rose came out , he locked his shop and bolted immediately leaving Rose to continue to walk to her house while her eyes darted at any slight noise

She had walked for a few meters before she saw someone, not just one person but two . Two men were walking towards her with a smile on their face . The sun had gone down by now , But due to the lights placed at some certain places around Rose could still see her way , so she knew immediately that the guys that were coming towards her were vampires.

“ Hi pretty lady” one of them said with a smile that showed his fangs

Rose immediately turned around and wanted to run but the other one was already at her front , she forgot that they had super speed

“Didn’t you hear my friend calling you ? Come with us and we will make you feel good” the second one said smiling the same way

It took two seconds for their words to register in Rose’s mind . Make her feel good ?? She would rather die than have a vampire sleep with her.

With that thought she started to run away again but the vampires caught her pretty quick and started to drag her away but she struggled, she struggled as much as her human body could let her struggle

“Let me go you bastards” She screamed trying to pry herself from their grabbing hands , by this time all her groceries had all scattered on the floor

“You heard her, let her go “ Rose and the two men suddenly heard a voice and when they turned to the voice they saw a man just standing there , hands in his pockets , looking pretty relaxed. His blonde hair waved around with the wing and his icy blue eyes seemed very beautiful and relaxing. His face was spotless and so handsome . And his smile was the Cherry on top of the ice cream

But only one word was screaming In Rose’s head

“Another Vampire!!”

Rose knew there was no way this vampire came to help her , he was probably here to take her for himself. That’s how disgusting they all were.

The other two vampires started laughing.

“And who the fuck are you “ one of the vampires snorted

“Someone you don’t want to mess with “ The new vampire replied “let her go and we won’t have any more problems “ he said with a smile

“And if we don’t?”

“You’re not gonna like what I’m gonna do to you” The new vampire replied and immediately his fingers elongated turning into claws and his eyes glowed red

The other two vampires immediately pushed Rose away and their claws also came out with their eyes glowing red. Then they both charged and attacked the new vampire.

Rose stood for some time ,watching them fighting while different thoughts were running through her head , all vampires were definitely evil , there was no way he was helping her , he probably just wanted to dig his fangs in her neck. She knew it .

With that thought she gathered all her foodstuffs that had fallen on the tiled road , then with one glance at the fighting men , she ran home.

She ran and ran and ran and didn’t stop for anything whatsoever. She became really happy when her Aunty’s shop came into view , seeing the light on she knew her aunt and daughter were still inside, then she immediately ran inside and shut the door behind her

“Aunty Rose!!” She heard someone scream her name and she suddenly felt a small figure hugging her legs

“Rose where have you been ? You had me worried!” Her aunty scolded her immediately. She could see that they have both been crying. She felt a little pain in her heart

“Am sorry I got you worried, I was just delayed” She said trying to give a smile , then she bent down and hugged the crying little girl”Am fine Alicia, You know am strong right?”

The little girl sniffled and wiped her tears with her sleeve “I know Aunty Rose, I just thought those guys got you “she said quietly as fresh tears rolled down her face

“ Never , I’ll always be right here with you ok?”Rose replied patting Alicia’s head

Suddenly a knock was heard on their door . They all flinched and gazed at the door with fearful expressions

“I’ll……I’ll go check who it is …” Rose muttered as she let go of Alicia and walked to the door slowly. She opened the door and a tall huge man immediately walked in . Aunty Catherine immediately pulled Alicia back and held her tightly cos the man who just came in was a vampire!

“I’m here to take the lady who just walked in” The man said immediately without hesitation or fear , he turned to Rose and gestured to the door “Please follow me outside “

“Why do you want her?” Catherine managed to mutter in a trembling voice , since the vampire was kinda respectful she tried to ask the question

“My boss wants her “He replied immediately, then he turned to Catherine “Unless you want to come in her place “

“No no no I’ll come with you “ Rose replied with a defeated voice “ Leave them alone and I’ll come with you”

“Very well”he replied and went to stand by the door” let’s go “

Rose turned to Catherine and Alicia then she smiled

“I’ll be back “

Then she left with the vampire.

She knew she might never comes back , no one ever did . The vampires came over every night and picked some humans to take to the palace as food supply. Everyone they took never ever came back .

So even though she promised that she was going to come back , she didn’t know how to fulfill the promise. Because she was about to head to a place full of blood sucking bastards
