Oh crap! Already 7:30 a.m. I am really gonna be late today for school. I must get ready as soon as possible. Ah,it's good that at least I ironed my uniform yesterday, so I don't need to do it now. I must take a shower first .

**After taking shower and getting ready**

I see that mom is sitting in the drawing room and she has packed lunch for me which is on the table. I wonder why she didn't wake me up this morning. I ask," Mom, why didn't you wake me up this morning?" She looks up at me and replies,"Sorry, Cristie dear , I woke up late this morning so I was not able to wake you up. Well, you are just a little late for school. That will not cause much trouble for you in school." I grab my lunch box and keep it in my bag. "Well, yeah you are right. I am not that much late. Bye mom"I say and walk towards the door. I hear her saying "Good bye dear" while I walk past the door.

Finally, I reach school. I am just 10 minutes late. I hurried towards the classroom. When I reached the classroom, Mr. Joseph, my class teacher was taking attendance. I ask ,"May I come in sir ." He looks up at me and asks,"Christine, don't you think you are a little late today?" I reply,"Sorry sir, I was studying till late, last night." Well I was telling him the truth that I woke up late today because I was up till late , last night. But the last part about sleeping late because of studying was a lie . He smiles at me and says," You should not sleep late at night. Next time, please try to come on time. You can go to your seat now." I reply," Yes sir" and and walk towards my seat. I sit on the last bench and then , I see Alan who sits two benches ahead of me. On seeing him, the actual reason for which I slept last night comes to my mind again. Last night , I was not able to sleep because I was thinking about the first time I had met Alan Smith, one of the most popular boy of Starlight High. I remember that day so well like if it had happened yesterday. Well in actual, it happened when I was in 9th grade. I had just got admission in Starlight High and I was a newbie here at that time. On my first day in school, the girls of my new class said that they would show me the school and would tell a lot of interesting things about the school. So in recess ,I went with them and they showed me the classes, grounds and staff room and many other places. Then they led me into a room which they said was a spare room in the school which remained empty. They asked me to enter the room first and said they would come after me. I was a little hesitant to go there as the room was empty and dark with no bulbs. I was new there ,so I didn't deny them right away as I wanted to make new friends and I thought if I would deny for such small thing , they would not like me. So despite being a little frightened, I went into the room .It was dark and empty. I was just thinking what we all were going to do in there but suddenly I heard the door behind me getting closed. I looked back and no one was inside with me . I was there, alone and now that the door had been closed, there wasn't even a little amount of light in the room. I started feeling terrorised as I was already nervous for my first day and after this I was feeling a lot frightened alone in darkness. I said ,"Please open the door for me." I heard the girls laughing and then one of them said that it was a type of a ritual that they did with every girl. Then another girl said that I had to stay in there till the end of recess. By that time , I was really frightened. I said " But please open the door. I am really not fe-ee-lin we.." My voice had started to crack. Suddenly , I heard a boy saying to the girls," Can't you guess from her voice that she is really not feeling good inside there. I know about your rituals but you must show some maturity." After that boy's words which were coming out in a confident tone, all the girls seemed to be quiet. Then he opened the door from outside and I saw him standing at the door. He asked me ,"Are you fine ?" I replied, "Ye..es". Then he said,"You could come out now." I hadn't seen his face till I came out because his face was in dark. When I came out , he looked at me to see if I am fine and then he said,"Don't do such stupid things again." to the girls. He was very attractive and handsome. The girls told me afterwards that he was from our class and one of the most popular and handsome boy in high school. I hadn't noticed him earlier in the class as it was my first day so I was focusing on my studies more than on my classmates but after seeing that charming guy rescue me , he looked like a hero to me and I started having a crush on him.
