Once upon a time, many different creatures lived in harmony, there were many kingdoms on land but there were only 4 kingdoms that worked together to satisfy their people, providing them with anything they needed. There was the kingdom of the White tigers, The Mermaid kingdom, then the dragon kingdom and the kingdom of the snakes. Those 4 kingdoms ruled together in peace but at one point the peace must come to an end.

The King of the White tigers started declaring war on the other 3 kingdoms, once the other 3 kingdoms heard of that, they wanted to reason with the king of the white tigers but it was no use, the king of the white tigers was tired of ruling with the others, he wanted to rule all the kingdoms all by himself. In a short matter of time one by one, each kingdom started to retreat from ruling together and then the peace was never brought up by any kingdom again.

Everyone went their separate ways, never spoken to each other ever again

War had started between every creature. Peace and harmony were no longer a thing but after some time of war eventually everyone got tired of it. So each creature decided to follow one of the main kingdoms to be on their side of, creatures lived and feared another war might start soon but for now everything was just normal.

The only King that was still trying to reason with everyone was the Mermaid King, each day and night trying to reason with the other 3 main Kings but eventually after some time, he gave up on trying

Hiii so this a new story I'm doing, well I'm new here, well not so new I did have this app way wayyyy back before, I used to read a lot in here so after so long of leaving this app and not read anymore I decided to create a story which is about 4 kingdoms as the prologue says which explains some part of the story, I'm just looking forward to everyone enjoying this new story, I have also published this story in wattpad if yall like to also read it there my acc is @itsmesammy

I closed the book and stared at the cover for a minute. I got up from my seat and walked to the bookshelf to put the book back in its original place. I walked out of the library, once I opened the door I was suddenly slightly slammed against the wall.

“Hey little lamb, what are you doing here all by yourself?” He snickered to himself

“Get off me Josh, you know i don’t like it when you do that” I rolled my eyes and pushed him off me and started walking towards the exit “ Hey wait up, how can you just leave your best friend just here” He came running towards me, catching up to my speed.

“I told you we aren't best friends, we are just classmates. Besides, it wouldn’t be right for the son of the mermaid king and the son of the dragon kind to be ‘friends’, so stop following me everywhere I go if you don’t mind because we can’t and never will be friends” It might have come out a bit harsher than I thought but it was the truth, he was the son of the Dragon King and for us to be friends it would result in conflict between the 2 kingdoms again.

I heard laughter coming from him, i looked at him confused, has he gone mad or something??.

“ You’re so funny little lad, who cares if i'm the son of the Dragon King, i actually took a liking to you when i met you, you seem pretty calm and positive but very intimidating at the same time, just because we come from different kingdoms doesn’t mean we can’t be friends, well at least in school, outside it can just be our little secret.”

Maybe he was right, was I worrying too much because of what my father would say if he found out that I was friends with the son of one of his enemies. Maybe it wasn’t such a bad idea becoming friends with him,

“ Let's just continue talking tomorrow, it’s getting late, we are probably the last ones here at the school” I started walking to the door and didn’t feel his presence following me.

I turned around and called for him. “ Aren’t you coming?”. A smile formed on his lips and he walked up to me and we walked together till we had to say our goodbyes and walked to our separate ways”

The next day

“Hey little lad, nice to see you again” I felt his hand ruffling my hair and giving me a smile

“ Hey! Stop messing around with my hair, I just brushed it”. I pouted with anger and tried to fix my hair. “What’s there to mess up, yall mermaids have really soft and silky hair, like how do you guys get it so perfectly good and long too” he started playing around with my hair, and i yanked his hand away and brushed my hair with my finger.

“ Our hair is just naturally like that, we can’t help it being so perfect.” I said, He chuckled and we started walking inside the building.

We felt eyes staring at us, I mean can you blame them, a mermaid and a dragon being friends and most of all both of them being the sons of 2 Kings that are enemies at the moment.

We went our separate ways to our classrooms, each classroom being a mixture of each creature, unlucky for me. I was the only mermaid in our classroom, I would normally get teased on how I had somewhat feminine features instead of being a jock guy like the rest. I mostly got all my looks from my mother.

Clap Clap

“Alright class settle down, settle down now” We all paid attention to our teacher as class was about to begin. “Alright everyone take out-” Suddenly the teacher was interrupted. Students running towards one way. We all got up from our seats and followed behind everyone else. They all led us outside as a circle was formed.

“ Is that all you got? How can a little pathetic white tiger not even defend himself” The guy and his other friends started laughing and looking down at the guy who was down on the floor with a nosebleed and bruises. Suddenly someone dumped a drink on him. Everyone was watching, scared to even do anything.“Wow, don’t you know that you should pick a fight with someone your size” It was a familiar voice, and I knew that it was Josh.

I walked up to him, “ What are you doing, you can’t fight a whole group of people by yourself” I looked at him as he stared right down at me. “ Well if my friend says i can’t then I can’t, how about you help that guy, little lamb”

I rolled my eyes at him, then started making my way to the poor beaten up guy

“Here, take my hand, let's get you to the nurses office” I placed a smile on my face making sure he felt safe and comfortable with me.

He took my hand and I helped him up. He sure was heavy but he’s injured so there’s no take backs, the people made way for us to pass.

At the Nurses office

“Hello? Nurse, are you here?” I looked around the room as I entered it with the guy leaning on me.

“Guess she’s not here, let's sit you down somewhere around here and treat your injuries.

The poor guy was all beaten up to the pulp, I felt really bad for him.

“I know i'm just supposed to use this for emergencies but this is a really good use for it” I took out a small glass bottle, it contained a remedy mostly made out of salt water, I poured some into a cotton ball and started dabbing it on him, I heard him groan every time it touched his skin but i know it will make him feel better.

After applying the remedy, all the bruises were gone in a second. I was really happy, I took a look at the guy but I saw him already staring at me.

“ Do you feel better now?” I gave him a small smile, but he didn’t respond back, “ You should forget about what those guys said about you, it's not worth listening to them.” I stood up and his gaze followed me.

“You’re the Mermaid King’s son aren't you..? Thank you for helping me” I smiled at him and just stood there in silence for a moment until it was broken by the door being swung open. We look to see who it was nad it was no other than Josh

“Yo” He smiled at us and coming towards us, “I see you’re feeling better bud, my name is Josh, I’m the Drago-”

“Yes, you’re the son of the Dragon King, Josh Valencia, I’ve heard quite of you” He just stared at Josh with that cold glazing gaze without saying anything else. “Yep that’s me, and this is Lynn, my little lamb”. He placed his arms around my shoulder and while pulling my face cheek playfully and pointing at me with his other hand.

“Stop doing that” I yanked his hands away from me, feeling annoyed at this point. “By the way a nice sky blue carriage pulled in by the entrance, wonder who it is”. I looked confused for a moment but the realized that my father was going to pick me up today.

“I gotta go now, I’ll see you tomorrow Josh” I started running to the exit doors to meet the carriage, I saw a butler holding open the carriage door and inside of it I saw my father waiting inside for me, with an emotionless face. I nervously walked to the carriage while trying to adjust my breath. I smiled at the butler and went inside and sat down, he closed the door and silence filled the carriage.

“I’ve been waiting for you my son” He looked at me with his emotionless face but then he gave me a soft smile “ How was your day in school?, would you like to join me for my afternoon tea later on. I would like to talk to you about something” His smile faded away as soon as he said that

Did he find out about me being friends with Josh..? What does he really want to talk about, is it good or bad. I just looked down at my feet sweating in that spot i was sitting at, feeling nervous, my heart beating fast
