The Kingdom Of Light And Darkness
Prologue
Blood, smoke and fire was what filled the deadly battlefield
The dead and limping bodies of many were scattered and sprawled everywhere and the sight was enough to make anyone shiver in fear.
The clanging of swords and splashing of blood bothered no one all but one.
Many fought to defend their lives for this war was no longer for the sake of their kingdom but to protect their lives.
It affected only one though, her heart burnt with grief as she watched the bloody rampage going on between the two creatures she created
All she wanted was peace and one kingdom filled with happiness but what was before her eyes was the total opposite.
As Goddess Celeste rode on her horse and entered the battlefield filled with the dead body of her creations, she continuously blamed herself for what she had caused.
She didn’t mean to,if only she had listened and knew that it may never had been possible to live among ones creations yet she deafened her ears and cane down to live with them.
Now see what she had caused.
It was all going so well, two creatures of different powers were finally living together under one kingdom until she caused this. This chaos, this death, this bloodshed.
Her worried eyes roamed the chaotic battlefield for the two she cherished the most.
Her eyes happened to see them fighting each other, the sunset dawned on the two men who fought each other unmercifully blinded by rage and their urge to kill each other just for her sake.
Goddess Celestine
*Gasps and shakes her head when she sees them wanting to stab each other*
Goddess Celestine
No don’t!!!
Goddess Celestine
*Panics and jumps down from her horse*
The goddess knew they couldn’t hear her voice. For once she was silent in their ears.
For all they cared about were each other’s blood.
Not wanting them to kill each other she uses her magic in an attempt to appear in front of them and stop them.
She never expected to suddenly appear in the middle of them and before she could blink she felt sharp blades connect to both her back and stomach.
Goddess Celestine
*Eyes widen at the sudden attack as she gasps*
Goddess Celestine
*Looks down at the sword as blood rushes from her mouth*
A goddess She was yet made with mortal flesh so as to take care of her now destroyed kingdom.
Her own creations were now the ones to put her to her detest full demise because of her selfishness.
The two kings just stared at their beloved and goddess trying to contemplate what they just did.
Reality hit them when she started collapsing to the ground making them grab hold of her falling stature.
They gently laid their dying beloved on the battle ground as she tried to take in breathes for life.
They had no words for they knew they were responsible.
Goddess Celestine
*Grips their clothe as she tries to speak though it comes out as blood curdles*
Goddess Celestine
Spare-the-innocent.K-kill the enemies,d-do not fight.
King Elwynn
*Speechless as tears form in his eyes at the sight of his beloved*
King Aragon
Celeste*Tries to hold back the tears*
Goddess Celestine
*Whispers*I shall return.
Her words were so hushed that even the strongest of wolves couldn’t hear and like her words she passed away like the wind.
Her death brought much shame and sorrow to the Kong’s as they wept on her body.
The heavens and earth felt the same way before she faded away in a bright light like she never........

Chapter 1-The engagement
The ringing bells in the palace of King Elwynn rang loud enough for the entire people Who inhabited the kingdom of Areum to hear.
This indicated that the beautiful one and only princess of Areum,Princess Celethiel D’Giovanni was getting engaged.
It was going to be a grand engagement seeing as she was getting engaged to the son of the humble right hand man and advicer to the king’s son.
Lord Elrond was his name, his father Lord Elroir was an outstanding man for his age known to be one of the wealthiest man in the whole of Areum.
Immortals were the royals, never seeming to leave the world until the age of 500.
Only those born without the royal blood were mortals and those were the normal people who lived outside the palace.
The moon’s light wasn’t enough to battle with the glow of the gigantic and grand castle.Well and beautifully decorated for the engagement of Lord Elrond and Princess Celethiel.
The entire ballroom swarmed with people both the wealthy and people of a managing status, dressed in their finest robes all just to witness the engagement that could make history.
Of course the wealthy stayed far away from the low and middle class wondering why King Elwynn was too kind hearted he invited the entire citizens of Areum.
But either poor, middle class or wealthy the people of Areum always seemed to have this sense of glow and beauty with their long pointy ears and slim stature they looked to be graceful and no doubt beautiful creatures.
Everyone couldn’t wait to see their lovely princess seeing as she had never been seen by any commoner but they did hear the rich speak about her astonishing, unfading and jaw dropping beauty but she was said to be a bit mischievous at times.
From above stood a man dressed in a royal white robe that no one could compare to.
His sea shaded eyes scanned the full ballroom and he had a slight look of happiness on his calm face.
He seemed to be a charming man despite his wrinkles and he had quite a defined shape for a man in his early 2 hundreds.
Voice
It seems my king is quite pleased by the sight and news today.
Lady Lorien, the second and recently married wife of King Elwynn said with a smile on her youthful face.
King Elwynn had married a lovely lady who was the mother of Celethiel but she had no blood of a royal making her die at the normal age of ninety one.
Lorien nonetheless was born with the blood of a royal and had married him no less than three years ago.
Elwynn D’Giovanni
Indeed I am,very pleased.I’d be even more pleased if Celenthir could let this go smoothly.
Everyone knew Princess Celethiel to not only be mischievous but terribly lazy and incompetent.
She was untrained in many values a princess should be trained in yet only few knew this and covered her up.
Lorien D’Giovanni
*Giggles*
Lorien D’Giovanni
Oh she really is a little devil but she surely wouldn’t try to ruin her own engagement.
Elwynn D’Giovanni
*Sighs*I sure hope so.
Elwynn D’Giovanni
She can be a lot.
Lorien D’Giovanni
Oh yes she is but she is your daughter after all.
Elwynn D’Giovanni
I guess so.
Lady Lorien’s smile was contagious and it also made King Elwynn smile a one of content.
Lady Lorien tucked her bright curls behind her long pointy ears before wrapping her hand around her King’s arm and laying on his shoulder.
Lorien D’Giovanni
*Soothes King Elwynn*
Lorien D’Giovanni
All will be well my king.
Lorien D’Giovanni
We just have to trust Celethiel
Elwynn D’Giovanni
*Nods his head and smiles down at his lovely wife*
Elwynn D’Giovanni
I believe you are right Lady Lorien.
Elwynn D’Giovanni
Come let us begin the ceremony and greet the groom’s family.
He held the hand of his beloved before heading down the stairs wishing for the best.
Meanwhile in the princess’s room.....
Gwyneth
Hurry m’lady the ceremony is about to start.
Gwyneth the humble and young servant of Princess Celethiel ushered her princess who was busy shoving as much gowns as she could into a much bigger fabric that could tie up and contain her clothes.
Gwyneth the princess hand maiden
Celethiel Di’Giovanni
Help me get that brush over there.
She ordered Gwyneth who didn’t hesitate to grab the golden brush off the table and quickly hand it over to her on the run princess.
Celethiel Di’Giovanni
Is it possible for me to go through the front door?
Gwyneth
No m’lady but I told Csillia to bring a rope for me.
Gwyneth
Hopefully this is long enough to take you down from here.
Gwyneth
*Shows her the long white rope*
Celethiel Di’Giovanni
It will do.
Celethiel Di’Giovanni
Go tie it at the hem of the window.
Gwyneth
*Nods her head before running to tie it on the window*
Anyone would have guessed by now that she wanted to run away from her own engagement.
She didn’t wish to marry Lord Elrond, she was being forced yet not verbally but emotionally.
This wouldn’t be the first time she would run away from an important new with Lord Elrond’s family.
That was why her father placed guards everywhere for today because she was just too stubborn and had refused to get engaged to him.
Gwyneth
Have you thought about it.
Celethiel Di’Giovanni
About what?
Celethiel Di’Giovanni
*Ties her bag and carries it on her shoulder*
Gwyneth
About the decision you’ve making?Running away.
Gwyneth
Did you think about your father’s reputation,Lord Elrond,Lady Lorien and even Lord Elroir?
Celethiel Di’Giovanni
I really have but I do not need to worry.
Celethiel Di’Giovanni
The last thing my father would do is lock me in my room for a week or two and restrict my training orders but he would never catch me.
Celethiel Di’Giovanni
No one would ever guess that I am at aunt Lyra’s home.
Celethiel Di’Giovanni
You should come pay me a visit sometime and apologize to my old pal Elrond for me.
Celethiel Di’Giovanni
Tell him this Princess isn’t meant for him.
Gwyneth
*Looks at her with much worry*
Gwyneth
M’lady please be careful.
Celethiel Di’Giovanni
I will.
Celethiel Di’Giovanni
Just try to keep my father at bay and tell him I’m alright.
Celethiel Di’Giovanni
*Holds the rope tightly*
Celethiel Di’Giovanni
*Breathes heavily before sliding down the ropes and landing safely in the shrubs and bushes*
Gwyneth
*Runs towards the window and relaxed when she saw she was safe*
Celethiel Di’Giovanni
*Waves her goodbye before hurrying away*
Gwyneth sighed hoping she would do ok and not get herself into too much.......
