"Nancy, today my friends are coming over to my place. There will be a small kitty party. So I want you to clean the house properly, make some snacks and juices first and later prepare dinner for them " ordered Mrs Feng to Nancy, her step-daughter . Nancy Feng nodded her head and went to continue her household work.

Nancy 's every morning start as same. She has to wake up at six in the morning, do all the house chores like washing, cleaning, making breakfast and after completing all the work, she help herself to go to college. She is now in the last year of her college degree. She is a brilliant student who got into the college though her own scholarship as her family refused to pay a penny for her college fees. According to them it is a waste of money. But she is determined to graduate on her own, get a job and start her own independent life.

Today is Sunday. None of her family members wakes up before nine but for Nancy it is the same routine. As she was about to rest after finishing her work, her stepmother ordered her to prepare dishes for her kitty party.

At about nine pm she went to her own room exhausted. As soon as she reached her room, she laid herself on her bed. Her eyes then went to the photo frame kept on the table beside her bed. It is a photo of herself and her own birth mother who died about twelve years ago. Soon she closed her eyes and memories began to flash into her mind.

It was when she was 10 years old, her mother died due to a road accident and left her alone in this world among these cruel people. The culprit for her accident was never caught. The case was closed in the middle and also her father thought it as a waste of time and money. Her father never loved her as her mother was never his choice. Their marriage was an arranged one by both the families. Nancy always felt that her father never truly loved her mother. Within two months after the accident ,her father married again to her stepmother,Mary Feng . She never took Nancy as her own daughter and also treated her as a maid. Mary Feng has one daughter named Cindy. After her marriage, she gave birth to a baby boy who is now ten years old while Cindy is one year older than Nancy. She felt herself as an outsider living in that house. Nancy's mother was a designer and had her own studio but after her death, her father sold the studio.She begged her father not to sell the studio as it contained her mother memories and her dreams but it went in vain. Her mother's dream was to become a famous designer and now Nancy wants to fulfill her dream and become a world famous designer. So she chose to pursue designer degree course and is in the last year of her college.

Thinking of her death mother memories and all her sufferings bought tears to Nancy's eyes. Soon her exhausted eyes and body soon fell into deep sleep.

The next monday morning, Nancy woke up at the usual time. She prepared breakfast for everyone, sweeped and moped the floor, then bathed herself and got ready for the college. Her friend Rosie picks her up everyday in her car as Nancy's home is on the way to her college. Also she gets a company as well to go to college. Though Cindy is a year older than Nancy, she goes to the same college as Nancy and is in the same year except her department is different.

Today is her first day in class of last year of her college life. The first day went quickly with introduction to the new courses and reviewing the syllabus. Usually she gets a lot of trouble from her stepsister, Cindy and the bad boy, Stephen Caeser who use to cause trouble for Nancy. But today her day went peacefully as he is absent and also Cindy is busy on her own. He is known as bad boy for his nature to stir problems for others. He likes to follow his own way and principles which often contradict with other people specially the teachers. For this reason, he is also suspended several times from college for many days. But he is extremely talented, not only in academics but also a real pro in football and a good artist. He is in the same year as Nancy and liked her when she was in first year. He also proposed her in a romantic way in front of the whole college by kneeling in front of her with a broquet of rose. But she rejected him then and there in front of all. He felt humiliated and insulted as she rejected him. From that day he has become a headache for Nancy. He has never hurt her physically but done a lot of mischief just to annoy her. One day he even snatch her practical copy and didn't return her for three days. But there are also times when he helped her to not to lose face in front of others when Cindy insulted her. Eventually they are like a cat and mouse fighting with each other. Rosie even suggested to Nancy to accept Stephen proposal and become his girlfriend as he is not only rich and good looking but also smart. But Nancy declined her suggestion as she is bound to. Actually it is because of Cindy that she rejected him so fast. Cindy has a crush on Stephen since the first day. So when she came to know that he will propose Nancy, she warned her beforehand to reject on his face or else she will make her life at home more miserable. Nancy has no other choice beside listening her as her life is already a living hell and she couldn't afford more pain to it. Cindy tried to come close to Stephen but she was never successful as he least paid attention to her. Because of this, she began to hate Nancy even more than before.

The day ended well and Rosie dropped Nancy home.Upon reaching the footsteps of her house she saw a big black car that just drove away from in front of her house. She wondered who came to their house and with what bussines. She entered the house and saw her father and stepmother sitting on a sofa in the guest room.She also saw a suitcase near her father which probably contain money. She wondered who visited them and why they gave her father money but decided not to ask anything as it is none of her business. Without making any sound she took pace towards her own room. But she was stopped by her father's voice"Nancy, come here. I have something important to tell you". Obeying her father she stood in front of them.

"Nancy, did you saw the person who just came here?"

"No papa, I didn't saw the person but only saw a black car which had just left "

"Well then listen, he is Mr Andrew Hilton, the famous president of Hilton company and he is going to be your father-in-law. You will be marrying his son, Johan Hilton who is the CEO of the company. "

Hearing these words about her marriage from her father, she is surprised and shocked.
