Saturday, was one of those lazy days where you could just sleep in your bed all day and eat your food there. I mean it is summer it's like freedom for everybody.

Gabbi is currently laying on their couch watching some old romantic comedy film that she says 'it's cliché' but still watched it while eating her sandwich with Nutella spread.

"Mila, pack up we're going on a trip" her mom suddenly said. Gabbi groaned at annoyance.

"Where?"

"My friend invited us to stay in their Summerhouse for about three weeks and it would be wrong for me to reject it" she explained, Gabbi had restrain herself from rolling her eyes. Her mom is just too kind to say no.

"Can I just stay here please?" She asked hopefully.

Sinu shook her head and placed her hands on her hips as she said, "you're coming with us, dont just mop around here in the house cursing yourself for falling inlove and breaking your heart"

"Ouch!" she dramatically put her hand on her chest, she only told her mom that she has a boyfriend but never actually made them meet, because in some terms they broke up before they met up with her mom.

"Now pack your things, sofi is already done with hers" she ushered her away from the couch and into her bedroom.

"My friend's son is really handsome" she added hoping that could get her spirits up.

"Mom, I'm not ready for another relationship yet" she whines throwing all her clothes in the big blue suitcase.

"Am I saying you should hook up with him? I'm just saying you two can be friends" Sinu defended herself.

She let out a sigh and continued packing, ignoring her mom's comment.

After a few minutes of dreadful arranging her clothes and making them fit in the suitcase she's finally done and is rolling it out of her room.

"I'm ready" she said not so enthusiastically.

"Alright, let's go!" Sinu clapped her hands together ushering her two daughters out of the house and in the car.

As they were buckled up in their own seats Sinu adjusted the rear view mirror and looked back to her daughter's, she's been a single mom since Gabbi was born, her dad left them right after giving birth to Gabbi, she tried to contact him or at least find him, but it was then she knew that he has another woman and is now marrying her, they even have kids.

"No one forgot anything?" She asked, the two sister's shook their head.

Sinu drove off their driveway and onto the two hour car ride to the Lorenzo's family Summerhouse, they were quite rich so the Summerhouse is definitely humongous. She had told her it was by the beach so she immediately knew Gabbi would like it there.

At the uncomfortable silence they were in, she turned the radio on and a Shawn Mendes song played, it was there's nothing holding me back.

"Mom! Turn it off" she covered her face with one of the car pillows. Wiping the tears that have fallen from her eyes.

"Why? It's a good song" her mom started jamming to it as she let out a big groan.

"Yeah it's a bop!" Sofi started dancing on her seat. Gabbi rolled her eyes.

"Fine listen to that guy's music, I'll listen to Taylor's Folklore" she plugs her earphones in her phone and clicks on Spotify playing the song that could make you feel that you've gone through 31 heartbreaks and 13 divorces.

After an hour, Gabbi got bored and decided to ask her mom details about her new friend and the Summerhouse, because of her curious self.

"Hey, mom, can I ask you something?" Sinu nodded her head.

"Where's the Summerhouse located?" She asked curiously, hoping it was by a beach or a lake atleast.

"It's by the beach, I'm sure you would love it there" she said with a soft smile seeing that her daughter's face instantly lit up.

"Mom, what's your friend's name?"

"Just wait till we get there and you can ask her herself" Gabbi slumps back to her seat pouting.

"Just tell me the first name, please" she says giving her best puppy eyes.

"Her first name is Karen"

"Oh, sounds familiar" she pull off a fake thinking face. I mean there's many Karen's in this world.

"Mom, this might sound very annoying for a 19 year old like me but... Are we there yet?" Sinu let out a hearty laugh.

She shook her head as she calmed down from laughing "not yet, Mija." She added, "40 minutes till we get there, watch out for that big sign saying which family owns it" sofi instantly looked out the window hoping she would see the sign.

40 minutes is a good time for sleep. Gabbi thought to herself as she plugged her earphones once again and slept like a baby.

"Gab! Gab! Wake up!" Sofi squealed as they passed the big sign, Gabbi groans as she sat up rubbing her eyes.

"Aww you missed it"

"Just tell me what's written on the sign" she said suggestively.

"Nope not telling you, your fault you fell asleep" she says while closing an imaginary zipper on her mouth.

"Kid's were here" their mom said excitedly as she parked on a large driveway.

"Yes!" Sofi yelled enthusiastically.

Sofi basically jumped out of the car in excitement while Gabbi lazily got out of the car with her guitar.

"Ma'am you need some help with that?" One of the worker's asked their mom, Sinu gladly said yes and helped her with their suitcases.

Gabbi looked around noticing there were two other cars parked. "Mom, is there going to be a lot of people here?"

"No, not really." Sinu replies unsure of her words.

Once they got in the house, they took in the cozy interior design of it, it suddenly provides calmness for them, it was really a Summerhouse.

"Sinu!" A feminine voice yelled from upstairs, the footsteps came closer until they stopped just infront of the Cordez family.

"Karen!" They both pulled in for a tight hug.

"I'm so glad you could join us here"

"Yeah i know right, well it did took a lot of persuading to get my daughter to come" she said eyeing Gabbi who's still busy looking around the house.

"Oh, these are your daughter's" she looked at sofi and Gabbi. "They're beautiful"

Both of the girl's blushed at the sudden compliment.

"Thank you" they said in a whisper.

"What are your names?" Karen asked softly.

"I'm sofia and this is my sister Gabriella, you can call her Gabbi"

"Wow, two beautiful names for two very beautiful girls" Karen smiled at them.

"Oh and my sister and her son joined" she paused and thought for a bit.

"Sinu and sofi will be staying in one room while Gabbi, is it okay that you'll share a room with somebody?" She asked.

It would be rude of Gabbi to demand a room, so she just nodded. "Who am I sharing with?" She asked curiously.

"My son, he's already in the room in the left" she said and pointed to the room. Gabbi nodded and thanked her as she dragged her suitcase.

Khalil just got out from the shower and is now rummaging through his closet for a decent weather friendly shirt when the nob turned. He didn't bother it thinking that it was just his mom or cousin.

The door creaked open. "Who is it?" He asked tilting his head to get a view of the person coming in. Gabbi shivers as the low and husky voice asked again. This voice seems familiar.

"Um" her eyes instantly went wide seeing her ex in just a towel barely even covering him, her eyes went down to his abs then to his muscles. His arms look a little stronger.

She snapped back from reality and instantly anger and sadness took over her.

"You!" She exclaimed. Khalil who's still in shock was left speechless.

At his silence, camila groans. "What are you doing here?!" She asked her voice came out harsher than intended.

"This place is mine and you what are you doing here?" He raised an eyebrow emphasizing the word 'you'

"My mom dragged me here. ugh. I shouldn't have come!" She left her suitcase and rushed out the room tears threatening to fall down.

"Hey, wait!" Khalil tried to call out but she was already out of his sight. He quickly grabbed a white tank top and some basketball short and ran towards the direction she ran to.

"If I ask mom to go home, then I'll ruin everybody's mood, if I don't ask her to go home this vacation will only break my heart instead of healing it." She started talking to herself, a little one of the things she would do to calm her down.

"Hey" a soft voice said, she knew who that voice belonged to.

"Leave me alone" her voice came out as a hushed tone. She wanted him to leave but her heart and body isn't obliging to the fact that she wants him to leave and get out of her sight. She still loved him.

"Enjoy your stay here. I won't bother you or even talk to you. Again I'm so sorry" he said sadly, he was about to walk away but he saw the tears continuously streaming down her beautiful face, his heart clenched at the thought of his presence already can break her heart and make her cry all night and day.

Without think he pulled her in his embrace, he can feel the front of his shirt getting wet but he didn't much care about it.

"I'm sorry" he said again, he knew that they were empty apologies but he would atleast try.

"A sorry can't fix everything" she said nonchalantly as she pulled apart from him and walked to the different direction.

They both know that this Summerhouse vacation is going to be dreadful for both of them....
