I couldn’t believe what I was seeing—the photos, the documents scattered across Marco’s desk. My hands trembled as I flipped through them, each piece of evidence revealing a darker truth. Marco, my boyfriend of two years, was deeply involved in something sinister.
Sophie
(whispering to herself) No, this can’t be happening...
Marco
(entering the room unexpectedly) Sophie, what are you doing here?
Sophie
(startled, trying to compose herself) Marco, I... I was looking for... (she trails off, unable to find words)
Marco
(noticing the papers in her hand, his expression hardening) Sophie, put those down. Now.
Sophie
(backing away instinctively) Marco, what is all this? What have you gotten yourself into?
Marco
(advancing slowly, his voice low and dangerous) It’s none of your business, Sophie. You shouldn’t have gone through my things.
Sophie
(desperation creeping into her voice) Marco, please, just tell me the truth. Are you... are you part of the mafia?
Marco
(laughs bitterly) You have no idea what you’ve stumbled into, do you?
Sophie
(voice trembling) I need to know, Marco. I need to understand.
Marco
(suddenly serious, his tone cold) Fine. Yes, I’m involved. But you need to forget everything you’ve seen. It’s dangerous, Sophie. For both of us.
Sophie
(heart sinking, tears welling up) I can’t... I can’t be a part of this.
Marco
(stepping closer, his expression hardening) You don’t have a choice, Sophie. You’re in this now.

Sophie's POV
Shocked and frightened by Marco's revelation, Sophie races out of their apartment, clutching a few essential belongings. Her mind races with disbelief and fear as she realizes the danger she's now entangled in. She knows she can't stay.
Sophie
(breathing heavily, muttering to herself) I have to get out of here... I have to find safety.
She darts down the dimly lit hallway, heart pounding in her chest. Every sound makes her jump, expecting Marco or his associates to appear around the corner.
Sophie
(dialing frantically on her phone) Luca... Please pick up...
Luca
(on the phone, his voice calm yet urgent) Sophie, where are you?
Sophie
Luca, I... I need your help. I've found out about Marco. He's... he's involved with the mafia.
Luca
(pauses, his voice serious) Sophie, stay calm. Tell me where you are. I'll come get you.
Sophie
(nervously looking over her shoulder) I'm... I'm outside the apartment building. Please hurry, Luca.
Luca
(determined) Okay, I'm on my way. Stay where you are. Don't trust anyone.
Sophie
(nodding, tears streaming down her face) Okay... I'll wait for you.
As she hangs up, Sophie leans against the building's cold brick wall, trying to collect her thoughts amidst the chaos. Fear grips her heart as she waits for Luca, hoping he can offer her the safety and protection she desperately needs.
