You try to pry open your eyes, already wincing as stream of bright light soaks into your eye sockets, almost blinding you before your line of sight starts come back.

The sound from the heart monitor rings into your ears as you stare back at the white ceiling, shuffling from your place as you try to sit up from your place.
It was a success, you can finally check around the unfair white room. Looks like your in a hospital it seems, you were sitting on a bed decorated with plain white sheets just the same as the walls and ceiling of this room.
Tubes were attached to your arms and under your nose, you probably look like you just got out of an incident right now.
Wait how did they even find you—

After that both of the adults starts to exchange conversation to each other in the same foreign language that you couldn't understand, though you have a pretty good guess that they're speaking in japanese.
After a while the doctor left the room seemingly giving the other woman some space and alone time.

You couldn't understand what you're feeling at the moment; Confusion, disappointment and guilt starts to linger in your head as you could only stare silently at the concern woman next to you.
Who was she? Why did she look so worried? what were you to her?
Those were the questions that stuck to you till the day you were released from the hospital.
Three weeks came by, after your release the kind(?) woman took you back to her place and basically took care of you. There was also a man there, he showered you with concern after you entered the house, they seem to be married to each other you think.
The woman leads you to a room in her house that was decorated room for a 5 year old, so you're theory was correct.
You got reincarnated somewhere in Japan, holding possession of a random 5 year old's body and taking their place in this family.

It took you a few months to get used to your environment, the kid's parents were actually great mostly. Though the language barrier between you and the adults was strongly obvious that you started to doubt if they wouldn't notice that you weren't actually their child.
The parents seemingly brush this under the rug, thinking that you just a little time for you to come back to your senses since you were basically stuck in a coma for 3 months now.
Your parents continue to teach you basic words and phrases in Japanese, learning names of animals to things and numbers using colorful picture books.
Never have you ever feel so relieved that someone actually reached you something so useful in your life.
You also learned that you got reincarnated in an anime series that you used to love watching to, yeah.
It felt fucking awesome actually, Boku no hero Academia if you remembered the title correctly. You used to be a big fan of the series, maybe just too obsessed but hasn't been in your shoes before?
And this world is populated with most people having superpowers or 'quirks' in the series, so it's actually cool to see someone using their powers in person.
'Your' father's quirk is related to a microbat's physical features and senses. He has bat wings and his ears are built sensitive because of a feature he has called echolocation.
'Your' mother in the other hand can change and mimic someone's voice without breaking a sweat.
In all honesty their quirks are pretty cool and for the fact that their kid holds both of their genes is just lucky.
... And you're currently holding hostage of the kid's vessel right now.
