The alarm clock rung and frightened me half to death. I dug through the stack of clothing that I haven’t put up yet and found my school uniform for my first day of heart High School. My uniform was wrinkled due to me not folding it right and I already lost the bow tie that is color corinated to the grade.

Frick it.

I just need to get to school. Normally my mother would make me a omelet in the morning but she’s not here right now, so me being the capable young man I am I find the bread that expires in a week and the butter and try to figure out the correct setting on the toaster. I just shove the bread in and hope that the button-Nozzle thing works.

Spoiler alert: it doesn’t and when I get home I need to clean the kitchen...

Oh, frock...

I leave for school with burnt toast on my uniform and A empty stomach...

And then I remember I forgot to look for my tie...

After a hour of trying to get to school using the gps on my phone that my mom made me download because she knew my uncappable self would get loss

I finally find the gate of the high school it’s a thick brown wooden gate with the school name engraved on the top of it I look towards the bottom of it and there’s names engraved ”Alina+chess” and ”hary+lana”

Probably couple names

I bet those couples got in trouble after...

Fock I need to get to class. it’s the first day and I'm already getting distracted

I run through the hall but a tall official-looking man stops me

”where is your tie”

”i-i forgot it”

”You need to come to the office with me then”

He look threatening at first but he ended the sentence with a soft smile which oldly comforted me.

“I’m Leo” he said smiling at me softly

“I-I’m Alex” I reply and he smile back as we walk to the office together

The counselor explains to me the tie organization system they have and it’s bores me

9th blue

10th red

11th white

12th black

And class presidents and hall monitors have hearts on there tie..it’s kinda cute

I get my white tie and arrange it on my neck according to the booklet the counselor gave me

its a 3 inch booklet going over rules, regulations, holidays etc. it’s insane that the booklet is that thick!?

I and the kind boy go to the hallway and he tells me about the school and

”may I show you to your classes”

”yes please”

Room 308, my home room for the year

me and Leo walk into home room together him guiding and me following blindly.he explains that we share the same homeroom and I can sit by him since I’m new

It’s so sweet of him..

And I’m obviously not the only one that thinks that since after I sit down he is crowded by people

He must be popular

I can see him getting agitated over the people crowding him..

specifically, one girl, who clings on to him most people would snap at that but Leo keeps calm and politely asks her to move

Of course she wines at him but eventually leaves

He finally sits next to me in our seats and he guides me through the booklet,

It’s hard to focus because all I here is the gossiping girls in the background...

“Look at that guy”

“Mm”

“Ew are those crumbs?”

“It looks like dirt”

“Leo is to good for him”

After five minutes of me listing to them while Leo spoke he asked me a question and when I didn’t answer he realized I wasn’t listening.

“Are you alright?”

“Hm-oh yea I’m fine”

I’ve always been a bad liar so it was clear I wasn’t okay.

“I-“ I start but I’m immediately interrupted my the teacher

“OKAY IM NOT REPEATING MYSELF SO LISTEN UP”

Leo focuses his attention on the teacher so I do the same.

“I’m taking attendance”

“Chess”-“here”

“Harold”-“present”

After a few seconds of going through names he reached Leo and then me

“Alex”-“h-here”

“Ohh you're the one new guy, welcome”

”thank you” I reply back trying not to studer and be polite and the same time

Leo went back to reading the booklet aloud and going through the rules for me...

He's so sweet

He gets to chapter two of the booklet when the bell rings and we have 15 minutes to get to class

”may I see your schedule,” Leo says

I hand it to him again and he goes over it...

”We have quite a bit of classes together”

”oh good, at least I won't look alone-” I mutter then immediately realize that that doesn't sound right

I internally lecture myself

I know I'm gonna stay up for like a week lecturing myself about that

”of course and I can help you catch up on your work” Leo says softly

In 1st period Leo introduces me to his friends, Harold, and mat

Harold seems a bit shy but well put together with his ironed vest and I see his tie has a heart on it

So he must be a hall monitor?

Mat seems... How do I put this in a way that's not insulting....drunk?...

He wears the same best that we all wear but his tie is a mess and he appears tired and confused

I attempt to introduce myself back in an attempt to make a good impression
