THE DAY BEGINS.........

1st January 2021 (friday)

I woke up at 6 AM and brushed my teeth and washed my face with my favorite face wash, while looking in the mirror i stopped for a while and

I noticed something strange about my face................IT WAS A PIMPLE.

I HATE PIMPLES CANT GET RID OF THEM EASILY.

I think I ate too much of oily stuff at the party yesterday and I am also getting fat.

I have to reduce my weight,

and to do that I have to workout and that's very tiring

And boring too.

I have planned to start working out someday, but I don't know which day will it be.

What can you say I am lazy.

My holidays ends on Monday, I am 17 years old and studying in 12th grade, so much pressure I have assignments and stuff.

I hate 12th, it's not a vacation if you have homework, and the next thing is you have to score the best marks at the entrance exam to get into a good university.

I am not going for extra tuitions, I don't believe them, I can study on my own.

I am at the dinning table for breakfast with my parents

so when we were having our food mom told me

"Alex it's your birthday on January 3 and it's a Sunday.

Your going to turn 18, an adult so your father and I have some plans for you"

I knew what my mom was planning, Her plan is to take me to church and make me participate in the holy mass, and after that we will go to Grandma's place for lunch, and after that I have to study and complete my assignments, so nothing much interesting was going to happen, but still I have hope that we may go some place interesting, So I asked her what she was planning

And she replied

"ITS A SURPPPRISEeeee"

Hmmmm now that's a little bit annoying,

Anyway I went back to my room to check my phone for messages, my phone has a issue with its battery, it drains very fast, but still it's working

fine, So when I was checking my messages one of my friends messaged me

"Did you study for the test ?"

OHHHHHHHHHH NOOOOO I FORGOT ABOUT MY TEST ON MONDAY,

Damn it, my teacher told that she will take a test immediately on Monday after holidays, Now how the hell did I forget it.

I have so much to study and i have to complete my assignments too.

I panicked, dont know what do,

If I score less this time I will have a

hard time.

7:30 PM

Finally I completed my assignments but still I have lot to study for the test.

Today while I was passing through the kitchen, I overheard my parents and it was not good, my mom and dad were discussing their plan for my birthday,

They were planning for a stay at grandma's house for the whole day, now I like my grandma but I have got lot of work to do and if I refuse to stay at grandma's house because of the reason that I have to study for the test,

I will get a lot of ADVICE FROM MY PARENTS.

Now, my plan is to complete my assignments till Saturday and study on sunday, because I cant do assignments at grandma's house because I need my pc and printer which was not available at my grandma's house but I can study for the test at grandma's.

9:30 PM

I am going to sleep, the plan is still the same, no changes at all.

THE DAY BEFORE MY BIRTHDAY

2nd January (Saturday)

I woke up at 6 AM and completed all of my assignments at stretch till 5:30 PM,

I am going to take a nap for sometime I already had some snacks and I am not hungry, so no one would disturb me....

3rd January (Sunday)

ITS MY BIRTHDAY, I SLEPTOFF...

My mom woke me up at 8 AM and wished me "Happy birthday dear"

And my brain was like sh*t, I have so much to do and I wasted so much time,

When I had the nap yesterday.

Anyway, I got ready for the church, I and my parents went to the church and

Participated in the mass, I was the altar boy, And the altar server have to wear an alb(white vestment worn by clergy and servers),

so after every mass the altar server's and the priest leave the altar, and goes to the sacristy and kneel down in front of a crucifix (an image of jesus on the cross) and pray for sometime, after this the altar servers change back to their casual clothes, while I was changing back to my normal clothes, the priest asked me for a favor, he wanted me to go to the rectory (place where priest live), which was built near the church and get him his book and some documents in which he has written the expenses of the church, which should be discussed with the bishop, it was kept in the store room in the rectory.

I went to the rectory and entered the storeroom, it was messy and full of dust, now you will be thinking why the hell did someone keep the book in such a dirty place, well our church is small and there was no huge expenses, so the book and documents in which the expenses were written were not used from last 2 years and no one cared, that's why it was kept with old stuff which belonged to the church in the store room, now the priest told me that the book and the documents were in the tall cupboard made of wood.

I noticed that there were two cupboards made of wood, now both looked the same and both had been damaged by termites, I opened the cupboard on my left, and started searching for the book and document's

But no luck, I didn't get anything...

The cupboard was making sounds, thought it might be because of it being old, next I opened the cupboard on the right, and voila..the book was in the right one, I got the book but not the documents, I went back to the preist to give him the book and inform him about not getting the documents.

After giving the priest the book, he told me could you please search for the documents, it might be still in the storeroom.

I couldn't refuse him, even though I had lot to study but still my heart wanted me to help him.

So, I went back to the storeroom searched the cupboard again, and couldn't find it.

Then I just stood there for a while thinking that where could it be, then I looked up and saw some stuff on the top of the cupboard, but it was very high and I couldn't reach it, I got a old wooden chair that was lying in the storeroom, and climbed up on the chair to reach the stuff, the chair started to shake , I got hold on the cupboard and I was thinking "This was a bad idea".

Now, the cupboard and the chair were shaking, I knew it was gonna fall.

I tried to get down slowly, but everything collapsed, and the cupboard was going to crush me, but I got saved by a table behind, it blocked the cupboard, and I was under the cupboard, shocked.

I got little bit of scratches, but I was fine

and I was back on my feet.

Noticing the rubble that I had caused, I found a suitcase lying im the rubble, on which some papers were stuck on it.

It was an old suitcase, I thought it might be the documents, so I pulled the paper off from the suitcase, and read it but it was not the documents, it was some of the holy scriptures from the bible, so I kept it away and examined the suitcase,

and tried to open it, but it didn't.

I thought the documents might be in the suitcase, so I went back to the church to give it to the preist, but he was not there.

I dont know what to do with the suitcase, and I had to hurry up, because I have to go to grandma's house for lunch, so I went to my mom to ask what should I do with the case, and she said we will give it to him next time, for now just put it in the trunk of the car.

I did, what she said, and we left the church and proceeded to grandma's house.

GRANDMA'S HOUSE

We reached grandma's house and she was very happy and wished me, and gave me some gifts, and she has baked me a birthday cake.

I cut the cake and went to the guest room to study and to write my diary, then after sometime I realized that I forgot about the suitcase,

I went to the car and opened the trunk,

And was shocked to see the suitcase had disappeared.

Hmm, now I thought either dad or mom might have took the suitcase to grandma's house.

When I asked both of them, they said that they didn't even take it out of the trunk.

So I went back to my room, and started to write my diary again.

While I was writing my diary, I heard a knock on my door, and when I opened the door, it was grandma and she was holding the suitcase. I asked her where did she find it, and she told me that it was lying around the front door. She gave me that suitcase and told me to study well, and I closed the door.

I kept the suitcase on the table and sat on my chair thinking that, I remember checking around the front door, but I didn't find it.

Anyway I got it, so I tried opening the suitcase, because of it being old, it's rusted and hard to open, so I did what any normal guy like me will do,

I SMACKED IT ON THE TABLE,

And voila it opened.

When I opened the suitcase, what I found was a book and a folded paper, both of them looked very old.

It was a black book and had a solid cover, the cover was not made of normal material but something solid, and had a clean finish, I can say that it was not a normal book.

The cover of the book had a unique logo or symbol.

The folded paper which I found was very old and delicate, if I tried to open it there might be a chance that I could tear it, so I left it that way in the suitcase.

I liked the book very much, because of its unique design, so I decided to keep the book with me as no one cares about it, and it was not the documents which the priest told me to search. So it was okay for me to keep the book.

The story will proceed in a narrative way

While Alex was going to open the book

his mom called him downstairs to have lunch. So he left the book on table and went downstairs to have lunch.

When he came back, he just jumped on the bed, lied down and sleptoff.

In the evening his mom shouted his name "ALEX"

Alex woke up and ran down and saw that his mom and dad are ready to go back home.

His mom said to him "Alex it's time to go, get ready".

Alex went upstairs to get his diary and other books which he had brought to grandma's house to study, and while he was packing he noticed the book on the table which he got from the suitcase, he decided to take it back to his home.

Its 9 PM, Alex has class tomorrow, so he has to sleep early. He got back to his home, went to his room and just slept. He didn't even bother to study for the test. The book which he got from the suitcase was still in his backpack.

NEXT MORNING JAN 4TH (HIGH SCHOOL)

8:30 AM

Alex woke up and brushed his teeth and got ready for school, he then went to the dining room to have his breakfast. While having his food, his mom asked him if he had completed his holiday assignment and was ready to go.

Alex replied to his mom hesitantly "yes.. mom, I have completed all the assignments."

When he had his breakfast and was ready to go to school, his mom gave him a kiss on his cheek and said

"Good luck".

After that he looked at his Dad,

his dad gave him a thumbs up,

And he gave a thumbs up back to his dad.

HIGH SCHOOL

Alex was walking towards his locker, when his friend Sam(best friend), comes towards him and asks him

"Alex, did you study for the test"

Alex replied "No dude, I just sleptoff yesterday and didn't study at all, I am going to fail"

Sam said to him "Chill bro, it's just a class test, the marks wont effect our grade, so no worries".

Alex opened his locker and told Sam

"It's not the marks which I am worried about, it's the remark which will be given for us by the teacher to the parents".

Sam asked him what he was talking about, and he replied that

"Remember, we have parent teacher meeting after this test on Wednesday,

So if I score low, and the teacher gives a bad remark, and if it gets to my parents ears, I will be in trouble".

Sam also had sadness in his face, when he heard about the parent teacher meeting because he had failed in two tests and he had a strict dad. But he was always active in other extra curricular activities, yet his dad doesn't like his skills because his dad wants him to excel in academics.

They proceeded to their class and sat down on their seats.

The teacher entered, and all the students wished the teacher

"Good morning "

Teacher replied "Please, sit down"

Alex was worried about the test. Teacher asked the students, if they have prepared for the test, all the students replied as if they were not confident except M(Mia).

M is the the smartest girl in their class, she has a score of 9 CGPA and Alex has a crush on her, but he never talked to her because he is very shy, when it comes to girls.

THE TEST

All students were writing the test, Alex was tensed after seeing the question paper, and knew he was going to fail, but still he completed it, and submitted the paper.

The test ended at 12:30 PM and it was lunch time, Alex and Sam went to the have lunch. While having their lunch, Sam asked Alex

"Are you going to ask her out?"

Alex was confused and replied

"What?"

Sam told him that

"Look we all know you have a crush on Mia, and we are waiting for you to ask her out"

Alex replied

" how did you know, and who is this WE here?"

Sam told him that

" It's so obvious, its written all over your face, and we I mean the rest of the boys are betting that if or not, you will ask her out"

Alex replied

"Are you insane, she is the smartest girl in class, and if I tried to ask her out, she will instantly reject me"

Sam

" Dude, let me teach you"

Alex

"Teach me what?"

Sam

"How to ask her out, dude I had bet some money on you"

Alex

"So you bet that I will lose, right?" 1

Sam

" No, never your my best friend, but yes I had a second thought for a while, but still I think you can win"

Alex

"WIN, RIGHT!!!"

Sam

"Let's go to you place after school and I promise that I will make you win, I will help you"

Alex

"You want to win your money back, dont you?"

Sam

"No, I am helping you as a friend, trust me".

Alex

"Okkkkkk, but you should be there with me, when I ask her out"

Sam

"Done, so you will ask her out, right?"

Alex

"Yesssss"

Sam

"Yayy!"

AFTER SCHOOL AT ALEX'S HOUSE

Alex and Sam were in alex's bedroom and started planning on how to ask M

out, after some time Sam told Alex

"How about I write you some lines, when your asking her out, I need a pen and a paper"

So Alex grabbed a pen and was searching for paper, but suddenly he realized that he ran out of paper because he used it for completing his assignments.

So Alex remembers the book that he found was still in his backpack, he went towards his backpack and took the book out and while opening the book he saw that it had a small seal that prevented from opening the book, he didnt care about the seal and just opened the book and when he did, the seal was broken.

When Alex opened the book, he saw that it was a diary.

It was a very old diary because the ink used to write it was very ancient, as he flipped through pages, he noticed that it was not a regular diary of a single person, but it was a diary of multiple people and the dates were noted on the top right corner of every page, that made it clear that the book was never used since the last entry, but he noticed something strange, after flipping through many pages, it's not getting over there was a lot of unused pages that can be used.

While Alex was examining the book, Sam just joined in and told him that

"Hey that book looks very scary,and I like it"

Alex replied "whatt?"

Sam told him that he had this weird obsession with horror and liked to collect such kind of stuff and asked him if he can keep it. 1

Alex was not ready to give Sam the book, but Sam made him a offer that

he will help him to go out with Mia on a date and he will do his best to make that happen.

Alex couldn't say no and gave him the book.

It was getting late and Sam took off to his home.

NEXT DAY....AT SCHOOL( JAN 5TH)

Alex as usual seated at his on seat was waiting for Sam, while he was waiting for Sam, M entered the class and sat on her seat in the front, Alex started getting nervous and was thinking "where the hell is Sam"

Sam didn't come to school that day.

Alex was pissed, and decided to go to Sam's house after school.

Alex reached Sam's house and went to ring the bell, when was going to ring the bell, he noticed broken pieces of glass with blood on it, lying in the veranda.

He rang the bell but no one answered the door.

Sam was actually leaving with his father, and his mom passed away after he was born.

So his dad usually answers the door.

Alex waited and just looked around and saw mud on the porch stairs.

While he was looking at it, the door opened with a 'BANG'

Alex turned around and saw that

It was Sam and he was holding a axe covered with blood.

Alex shouted "what happened "

Sam replied

" nothing, I am just going to kill you"

Sam ran towards Alex with his axe, and swinged it at him, but Alex dodged it and fell on the floor, the axe got stuck on one of the pillars of the porch and Sam just pulled it out and striked Alex, who was on the floor, while Alex was dodging the second strike, he got his arm in between the action and got a cut on his arm and,blood was spilled.

Alex shouted at Sam "wtf are you doing"

Sam replied "a secret should be kept a secret "

Sam went for his third strike but Alex somehow kicked his stomach.

Sam dropped his axe and falls on his knees in pain, Alex grabbed the axe and

grabs Sam's collar and drags him into his house and punches him and keeps on hitting him with the back of the axe.

While he was hitting him, someone whispered to Alex "KILL HIM, HE IS NOT WORTHY TO LIVEEEEE"

Alex took the axe swinged it at Sam and was going to strike Sam to death, but he stopped and was holding the axe in mid air and thought "no, if I kill him then I will not be able to live with it"

Sam murmured "DO IT, DO IT, KILL ME OR YOU WILL DIE"

Alex replied "No"

Sam shouted "you dont get it"

Alex thought he was just bluffing and completely lost his mind.

Alex dropped his axe and was going to go back to his home, Sam was lying on the floor, when he turned he saw Sam's dad lying on the floor in Sam's bedroom which was near the main door and he was dead and a lot of blood was on the floor of the bedroom and it was dry, which meant Sam's dad died long ago.

Alex turned to Sam in anguish and stamped his foot on Sam's shoulder and

Shouted "WHAT THE HELL DID YOU DO?"

Suddenly, someone was laughing and

The voice was from upstairs, Alex ran upstairs and heard the voice coming from one of the bedroom, as he enters the bedroom, it was quiet

And saw the book which he found was on the study table as he approached the book, he saw Sam's name in the book with today's date and as he was reading it, he was shocked to see that, everything that happened with him and sam was already written in the book.

THE BOOK CLOSED SUDDENLY,IT SCARED ALEX AND SOMEONE WHISPERED IN ALEX'S EARS "OBEYYYYYYY"

ALEX TURNED BACK AND SAW NO ONE WAS THERE, HE TURNED BACK AND THE BOOK WAS GONE........

Recap: Sam takes the book home and doesn't come to school the next day, and Alex decided to go to Sam's house. When Alex reached Sam's house and rang the bell, Sam opened the door and tried to kill him, there was a fight between them. Alex dragged Sam into the house.

Alex noticed Sam's dad lying dead on the floor in a room. Alex heard someone laughing and the sound was from upstairs. ( read the first part for more insight of the story)

The story continues....

Alex ran downstairs and asked Sam, who was lying on the floor

"What happened HERE!!"

Sam was afraid to tell Alex.

Alex forced Sam to talk and...........

Sam was ready to explain what really had happened, he told the whole story.

Sam "I ......took the book...... to my house and left it on my study table, and went to play outside. After that when I reached home in the evening.....I heard some noise coming from upstairs, it was..scary and I saw mud on the stairs, I knew that my dad was in my room, because my dad was a carpenter,he goes to the forest to collect woods, and always gets dirt on his boots. I walked up the stairs and slowly walked towards my room, when I opened the door.......... I saw my dad was holding an axe and standing still.............. with his back facing towards me and he was standing in front of my study table.

I asked him, what he was doing in my room.

He slowly turned around, he was upset and didn't looked the way he normally is, I asked him that if he was okay. He was murmuring something, I asked him again that if everything was alright. He suddenly replied

"So you want to kill me"

I didn't understand what was he talking about, and told him why would I want to kill you dad, I am your son.

He shouted in anger

"YOUR NOT MY SON, YOUR JUST A GOOD FOR NOTHING PIECE OF GARBAGE"

I got angry and told him what is your problem?, suddenly he shouted

"DIE YOU GOOD FOR NOTHING PIECE OF SH*T"

He swinged his axe on me, I ducked and he missed me, his axe got stuck in the door of my room.

I ran into a room downstairs and locked it.

My dad came running downstairs and started knocking insanely on the door and shouted "OPEN THE DAMN DOOR OR I WILL BREAK IT".

There was a silence for few seconds,

So I went near the door and placed my ear on it to listen what was going on outside. I was an idiot to place my ear on the door, because my DAD TOOK THE AXE AND swinged at the door. The

axe sliced a little bit of my ear and I started bleeding.

I panicked and moved away from the door, my dad started breaking the door with the axe and I was screaming and shouting "STOP IT , STOP IT"

I moved away from the door and was searching for some weapon to protect myself, I found a electric lamp on the table.

Dad broke in and came running towards me, and I dodged his first attack and smashed his head with the lamp.

He started to bleed from his head, he put his hands over his head and fell down on the floor, he was twitching and I was in shock, after some time he died on the floor due to blood loss".

Alex "BUT WHY DID YOU TRY TO KILL ME"

Sam "I didn't want to kill you"

Alex "Then why did you do it"

Sam "because it told me to"

Alex "It, it who?"

Sam "The book"

Alex "WHATT?"

Sam "Yes, believe me its sounds crazy but please trust me"

Alex "Trust you, why the hell should I trust you, you just tried to kill me"

Sam "Please help me, I dont want to got to prison, I will explain you everything after we hide the body of my dad"

Alex " WE , THERE IS NO WE IN THIS BRO , DEAL IT YOURSELF "

Sam " IF YOU DONT HELP ME YOU WILL DIE ANYWAY "

Alex " DONT BLUFF..."

Sam " NO I AM NOT BLUFFING, THAT BOOK IS CURSED, YOU WANT TO KNOW WHY I TRIED TO KILL YOU BECAUSE THE BOOK TOLD ME TO"

Alex " The book?"

Sam "Yes, after killing my dad I went upstairs and saw the book on my table, when I went near it read what was written, and was shocked to see that the book had my dad's name on the page and it was written that I will kill my dad because I dont love him"

Alex " Dont talk shit with me, just because it was written in the book, your dad tried to kill you"

Sam " No the book forces you to do it, you hear sounds, screams and sense of fear and everything that is worst than a nightmare, it just possess you"

Alex "ohhh Really ?"

Sam "Yes, you heard it right?"

Alex " yeah but I didn't obey it"

Sam " ok, that was interesting, how you were able to overcome it, but can you help me to get out of this mess please, I am begging you "

Alex " Fineeeee, I will help you"

Sam "thank you soo much"

Alex "what can we do now, you killed your dad, this will come out someday even though we hide it, someone will notice it"

Sam "we will look at that afterwards,

now help me to hide the body"

Alex "ok , where can we hide him"

Sam "In the backyard, I dug a hole in the backyard before you came"

Alex "ok,let's do it"

Alex and sam lifted the body and took it to the backyard.......

AT THE POLICE STATION

*Phone rings*

A lady answers the phone

Lady "Hello, how can I help you"

Unknown girl "hell....hello , please come to 3rd house,pine road, Broadway.

Lady "And what is the matter"

Unknown girl "two guys are taking a dead body to back of the house ,please come fast"

Lady "dont worry stay there, we will send someone right away and what's your name miss"

*phone cuts*

Lady "hello ,hello"

-proceed to next part

The lady on the phone gets up from her desk and runs fast towards a police officer

Gill " what happened?"

Lady "Someone just informed that two guys are taking a dead body to back of the house its at 3rd house,pine road,Broadway."

Gill "Dont worry let me check it out "

Lady "take someone with you, it might be dangerous "

Gill " ok I will take Martin with me."

Lady " are you sure that you want to take Martin with you ?"

Gill "ya,sure"

Lady " you know how he is right?"

Gill "No problem i can tolerate him, but he is smart "

Lady " ok its your responsibility"

Gill walking towards to martin's office and opens the door

Gill: "Martin"

no response from Martin

Gill " MARTINN"

Martin snapped from his sleep and was staring at Gill and asked her

Martin "what happened?"

Gill "We have to go to a house at pine road,Broadway"

Martin "Why?"

Gill "we got a information from an anonymous girl that two guys have been spotted taking a dead body to back of the house, lets check it out"

Martin "OK lets go, anyway I can use a promotion"

Gill and Martin head towards their vehicle and both drive to Broadway.

Gill and Martin both reached the house and was observing the house by sitting inside the car

There was no one on the road, it was silent and they decided to inspect the house

Martin "Lets ring the bell"

(And Martin rings the bell without any care)

Gill(in a sarcastic way told him)

"Ohh yes, and give them a chance to answer the door, are you always like this Martin,someone just told us that they have seen two guys with a dead guy and you think they will answer the door normally without a weapon or something like that"

Martin "Yeahhhh, we are still not sure if the information that we got is true, what if someone is playing a prank on us"

Gill "But still we have to be carefull"

Martin "OK i will be carefull nex...*interupted by Gill"

Gill " shh, did you hear that"

(**footsteps approaching the door)

(*noise * opening the door slowly)

(Door opens**)

And it was Sam who opened the door and responded

Sam " Hello , how may I help you"

Gill " Hello sir,we are from*shows the cop badge* and we got some information about sightings of a deadbody near your house, do you leave alone here in this house"

Sam "No, I live with my dad"

Gill " Is he home now?"

Sam "No he went to work"

Gill " ok,can i know your name sir"

Sam"its Sam"

Gill " ok Sam ,would you mind if we have look inside your house? "

Sam was silent for a moment,breathing heavily but he replies

Sam "Sure.. sure, please come in"

Gill and Martin both enters the house and Sam closes the door

(**door closes)

IN THE HOUSE**

Gill "you have a nice house Sam"

Gill looks around the house and Martin checks for some evidence but doesn't find anything, so Martin goes towards Gill and say

Martin "let's check the backyard "

Gill " ok"

Everyone in the house goes to the backyard

Sam " Excuse me, ma'am but I dont think you will find anything here because it's pointless when we have not committed any crime"

Gill " Hmmm ok, sorry for troubling you"

Martin "sorry sam, we will leave now"

Both Gill and Martin goes back to their car and shuts the door of the car

Martin "We didn't find anything, it might be a prank"

Gill "No, Sam is hiding something "

Martin " How do you know,that he is lying "

Gill "Didn't you notice, when used "we" when he told us that its pointless to search there when "we" didn't commit any crime?"

Martin "So, he might be mentioning his Dad "

Gill " Possible, but my gut says there is something wrong"

Martin " Then how will we prove it?"

Gill " The informer who informed the police used his/her phone, we can track it down with help of our resources "

Martin "Ok , let's do that"

Both head back to the police station

Gill "hey I need your help?"

Operator "ok, how can I help you?"

Gill " I want you to track this number and send someone to bring he/she who owns the number to the police station "

Operator "ok,give me some time"

Martin "I will be resting in my office,so GOODNIGHT"

Gill " come on, Martin we have a case, do you want a promotion or not?"

Martin " I want it but now I want to rest so inform me if something comes up"

Martin walks to his office but....

Gill "how did you get your shoe dirty, its covered in mud"

Martin "maybe, when I was in the backyard at Sam's house "

Gill " huh, then how come my boots are clean "
