33 Days of Heartbreak
Prologue
"That's the thing about pain," Calliope said, and then glanced back at me. "It demands to be felt."
"ANASTASIA" he said after I picked up his call. "Promise me, you'll wait."
"Of course, I'll wait for you. I will wait for you forever."
"There's no forever." He answered like a child who wasn't given candy.
If that's the case, then let's make it real. I'll prove that forever really does exist.
"What if... I don't survive?" What is she saying? She can do this!
"You can do it. You made a promise. You'll keep it, right?"
He was not the prince charming in my dreams. I was not the damsel in distress he was wishing for.
But I love him, and he loves me, too. Isn't that enough for a happy even after?
Happy even afters cannot happen in just a snap. Princesses have kissed frogs, princes have kissed princesses in deep slumber.
Some have lost a shoe, ate a poisonous apple, lived in a beast's castle, exchanged tail for legs, and got stuck up in tower.
Every "happy ever after" has its own ups and downs. Not all princes come to rescue hurting princesses. The prince you've met might be the villain in your Fairytale.
Well, have you ever figured out the mystery of love? I tried, but I can't. I guess it lies quietly on the deepest chambers of our hearts.
LET ME tell you a story of pain. This is not a love story because love stories are supposed to be full of happiness.
Ours is different. We love each other with pain. It's quite bizarre, I admitted. The world is unfair. It won't go where it is supposed to because it always goes the other way when everything comes off right.
Day 2: Invitation
It's been exactly three weeks since we last met. I am already quite familiar with the school, but sometimes I still seek the help of others.
I went to the cafeteria, because it's already lunchtime.
I looked for a table to eat and I left my bag there. And order foods.
I went back to my seat, and I saw a familiar face sitting on the table where I left my things.

Ken, what are you doing there?
Ken Villanueva
I was about to have lunch, and I saw your belongings on the table, so I just sit here, instead.
Ken Villanueva
You won't mind it, right?
Sophia Lin
Haha, of course, I won't.
Ken Villanueva
Okay, I'll order now.
I sat on my chair while he ordered food. I waited for him to come back before I ate as it's a sign of table manners.
When he came back, he told me to eat, so I started eating.
I thought we'd eat in pure silence since we hadn't met each other for a long time, and it'd be so awkward. But I was surprised when he talked.

So... are you somehow familiar with the buildings now?
Sophia Lin
Yeah, but I still get lost sometimes, though.

Do you want me to tour you around the University?

I'm free until five.

I thought there's a campus tour when I oriented before.
They just gave us maps and brochures instead. And we are oriented about the rules and regulations.
I accepted Ken's suggestion so that I could familiarize this places.

Day 3: Tour Guide
After we ate, he invited me to go to Bonifacio building, where we first met.

Yes, but M-W-F only.

Actually, our adviser told us that our professor would come back this week—he went to the U.S.

So, if you have class with him, be sure to have your lab gown. Most professors require their students to wear lab gowns, and most professors are so overbearing.

Yeah, thankfully, I put my lab gown on the cabinet.

After we went to the 2nd floor, we went to the 3rd floor immediately.
