After her school, Liza went to her part time where she will work as a server. Tonight, there will be a big birthday party and she will work until mid night.

Wearing her work uniform, she started to serve drinks to the guest. Mostly champagnes and wines, hard drinks will be available in the bar. It is the 21st celebration of the youngest son of the Aquino Family. They are very popular on hotel industry and every one respects them.

The guest are so hyper - dancing, singing, and drinking like there’s no tomorrow. Everyone is having fun in the party.

“It must be nice to attend a party like this. It looks fun.” Liza whispered.

She never went to any party like this because she is busy working non stop and studying. And she don’t know anyone who’s capable of throwing a party like this.

Liza was busy serving drinks until someone hug her at the back.

“You’re so beautiful.” The guy behind her whisper on her ears.

Her cheeks blush on his statement. And at a situation like this, she should not panic and be professional. Her workplace provided trainings on how to handle this situation.

In order not to cause any scene on the party, she should talk to the guy behind her.

“Sir, you’re drunk. Kindly remove your hands and let me help you to go back to your seat.” She politely offer help to him. The guy did not reply.

And instead of removing his hands, he hug her tightly and his head is resting on her shoulder. Her coworkers came to her and asks her if she needs help but she shake her head. She can handle this situation.

She remove his hand on her waist as the guy watch every movement she does. He let her do what she wants. Liza put his hands on her shoulder and hold him to support him. She check the surroundings and found a vacant spot.

She started walking on that direction but she can feel his stares and choose to ignore it. She needs to go back on her station.

Liza help the guy to sit.

“Everything okay, Sir? Do you need anything?” She asks him before going back to her station.

“I think I’m not fine.” The guy said as he continue staring her.

“Would you like me to call your friends on the crowd?” She suggested.

“Can you stay beside me and until I feel better?”

Liza think what else she can do. She cannot leave the drunk guest alone because he might cause a scene.

“Would you like me to call a cab instead? It would be nice if you can go home and rest, Sir.”

The guy looks mad on what she said. “I said sit here beside me until I feel okay.”

“And how can I leave my own party?” He added which leaves her in shocked. She didn’t know that he’s the celebrant. She did not pay that much attention to the party.

“Just give me a minute, Sir.”

She leave him and went to talk to her manager. She told her Manager the situation and the manager told her she can go back to her station and they’ll asssit the guy.

After few minutes of serving drinks, she heard some noise. The celebrant is making a scene. The manager went to her.

“Liz. Can you please come with me?”

She followed her manager and went to the celebrant. He also stop breaking glasses as soon as we arrived.

“Sit.”

I looked at manager what’s happening.

“Sorry, Liz. Can you please accompany the celebrant. He demand for your presence.”

And as a part time worker, she needs to follow the command of her manager. As she sit beside him, the guy looks happy and proud of himself.

Liz POV

Since I sat beside him, I didn’t look at him. Time is so slow, I wanted to finish my shift as soon as possible. I feel bad to my coworkers, they are working hard right now while I’m just sitting here doing nothing and will get paid.

“So what’s your name?” The guy asked.

I keep my poker faced and said “Liz.”

He came close towards me. “Nice name. It suits you. I’m Rain. So how old are you? You look young. Call me, Oppa.” He said and keep staring at me.

“I’m 25.” I lied while staring at my nails.

“You’re lying. You look like you’re 18.”

“So as a older person. Please call me Noona. And I have family already so quit hitting on me.” I lied.

He laughed on my statement. “Eh... stop saying lies. That trick never works for me. You got my attention.”

“I never ask for your attention.”

He keep laughing on my statement. “Guess what? If I want something, I’ll get it.”

I look at him with disgust. “I’m not a thing.”

“Anything. I’ll get anything I want. Either a thing or a person.”

I laughed and sarcastically said to him. “That’s the funniest joke I ever heard.”

To be honest, I know money can buy everything. They can control a person but they cannot control their mind and heart. I got scared at the same time, I don’t want my life to change. There is no humour on his face while saying those words.

I hate a person like him. He thinks he can have everything he wants using money. He didn’t ever work hard to earn those money but he’s using it to do anything to get what he wants.

He can buy something with just one click even tho he didn’t need it that much. He’s one of the impulsive buyers and spoiled person.

He thinks he can control everything like what he did right now. He made a scene just to get me stay beside him. He didn’t respect the workers.

I didn’t expect that he’ll buy my lies. I know he’s smart enough to know the truth and lies. He went to private schools and his parents train him at early age to handle their business. His parents taught him to read people which is needed in their business. They should know who they should trust in a world of business. His parents, not him, are rich. His parents work hard for him not him so he’s not rich. Maybe someday.

“I want you. Wait. No, I like you. You’re different from other girls who want my attention. They will throw themselves so that they can get my attention. And here I am, I made a scene just to get to sit beside me.” He said and pat my head.

I got nervous on his move but I did not show any emotion to him. I won’t let him know that I am affected on his words and actions. I feel like there are only two of us right now. I cannot hear the crowds because of his presence.

He put his hand on my waist and stare at him. My eyes went to my coworker at his back who gives me a signal that I am already off. The party will go on without me. I need to go to my part time tomorrow morning in fast food since I do not have a class.

I remove his hand on my waist and stand up. He get mad on my action.

“What are you doing!?”

“Sorry. I’m off sir. Enjoy your party!” I give him a smile of a winner and leave. I heard him shouting but I didn’t understand his words. I signal my goodbye to my manager and she gives me a apologetic smile. I know my manager will never allow her coworkers to do that if only she have a choice.

I hope I won’t see the guy again. Or else he will ruin my life.

I went home straight and took a rest. I set my alarm first before going to sleep. I cleared up my mind regarding what happened on the party. I am not involving myself to that spoiled guy.

After few hours of sleep, I prepare and eat breakfast. I prepare lunch as well since I am working from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM. I need to save as much as possible.

I took their orders as I wear my smile towards the customers. We need to be friendly to every customers and when I saif every customers including the rude customers. I’d an experience where the customer throw their food to my face because they didn’t like the food. And instead of getting mad of their action, I still keep my smile and accommodate them.

Provided them what they want. Customers is “not” always right. But in order to keep the environment at peace, we need to hear their complains and accommodate their attitude.

It is a normal experience for us to see a mad customer. But most of the customers are friendly as well - they respects us. Some people be little us since we are working in the fast food. Atleast we’re earning in a decent job. And some of us, starts from here and working in our future career. It is a stepping stone for us. And some of us, it is their permanent job and it helps them to provide for the needs of their family.

After my shift, I said my goodbye to my coworkers/ family as well. The older people who works with me became our second parent. They guide and advise us towards to our chosen path.

I got home in my place and took a nap. After few minutes, I heard a knock. Since I am not expecting any guest, I peek on the small hole of the door. And to my shock, I saw the guy from yesterday.

I ignore the knock and after few minutes I received a call from Manager.

“Hi Liz. How are you?”

“I’m good. How are you, Sofie? I’m sorry about last night. I didn’t do my job well.”

“You don’t need to apologize, Liz. I apologized for not doing my part as your manager. I shouldn’t let him do what him wants.”

“You did your best, Sofie. He’s just a powerful man.”

“Yes, he is. By the way, I called you because I want you to stay away from him. He’s very powerful man and whatever he wants he will get it. And now, you got his attention. I don’t wanna scare you but yesterday he asked for your address. And I didn’t give it to him but he’ll put a strings to get it. So if you see him, ran away.”

Sofie was serious on the phone. And I don’t want her to get panic. I know she have other problem as well. She’s very nice manager and I do not want her to get involve in this situation.

“Of course, I will. You know I’m a fast runner. He can’t beat me.” I said to make the mood lighter. And both of us laugh. She said so many things before hanging off the phone.

I look on the hole one more time and did not make any noise from the inside to make sure he won’t know I am inside the house. I need to plan how to escape from him.

He’s been outside since then. I tried no make any noise while I stay in my room. If he sees me alone today, he’ll do every thing to enter in my life and I won’t let that happen.
