You know they're already worried about your grades." (crossing arms, trying to look stern)

(eyes widened) WHAT are you doing here at this hour.. shouldn't you be sleeping

(sternly, but trying not to smile) "Oh, save it! I'm not the one who's supposed to be sneaking around at midnight, forging signatures! I was getting a glass of water and saw you hunched over the kitchen table, trying to copy Mom's handwriting. Don't try to distract me, sis! We need to talk about this." (leaning against the counter, arms still crossed)

(skeptical, raising an eyebrow) "A good girl? Really? Forging signatures isn't exactly 'being good'! And what's this about a match? You mean the school debate competition? (pausing, considering) Fine, I won't tell Mom... yet. No more sneaking around, and you'll have to accept whatever consequences come your way if you don't shape up. Deal?" (eyes narrowing slightly)

(laughs) "Oh, football! I should've known! You and your football obsession! And by the way, why were you trying to forge Mom's signature? Didn't want her to see your grades?" (raises an eyebrow, curious)

(pauses, softening tone) What's going on? Is everything okay? Is there something I can do to help?"
