"Hey Lucy?Lucy!" Josh waved his hands in front of Lucy's face.Lucy snapped out of her daydreaming and blushed.How long had she spaced out?She was thinking about how much Josh had changed since she'd last seen him......It was the last day of school. She'd been meaning to walk home but it had started to rain.Everybody else was already hopping on their boyfriend's motorcycles or jumping in the school bus or with other types of transport. Lucy sighed. She didn't have any money on her to hire a taxi. And all her friends would be home now,so there wasn't a hope of catching a ride with one of them. "You're walking too today, Lucy?" A voice said next to her. Lucy glanced at her friends slightly goofy grin and laughed. "You look ridiculous with the rain soaking your hair like that." She said. "So do you." Josh said gently, taking a strand of her hair in his hands. "WHAT DID YOU SAY?!" Lucy yelled loud enough to make the earth shake. "You.....look retarded?" Josh squeaked and he started running away. So the two high schoolers were chasing each other on the fields long since the end-of-school bell rang. They both were to shy to admit that they didn't want to say goodbye.

"Lucy! AM I THAT BORING?!" Josh yelled snapping Lucy out of her thoughts again. "Depends." Lucy said grinning from ear to ear. Josh laughed."You are a devil Lucy. The sunlight made his long lashes shine, and his blue-green eyes twinkled,so unlike her boring,dark brown eyes. "So what were you trying to tell me?" Lucy said trying to distract herself from his appearance. "Now I don't know if I should tell you anymore." Josh teased,his pearl-white teeth good enough to star in a toothpaste add. ENOUGH. She had to stop staring at his perfect body or she would go loco. "There's a school dance coming at the end of the term, its going to be very informal, but somehow they managed to rent a hall for the party since the school hall has so many dreary memories of boring speeches and announcements." Josh said. Lucy's heart stopped.by was he telling her this?Did he perhaps want to ask her to be his date for the party? "Who are you going to go with?" Lucy asked him."I was going to ask you that."Josh chuckled,showing his teeth again. Before Lucy could say anything there was a "Woahhhh!" And a "Careful!I have coke here!" And then splashing noises and girlish screams. Lola, Lucy's friend from last year, lay on the floor,her school uniform soaked in cooldrink. A boy with light brown hair was staring,as if mesmerized, at two empty open coke cups on the ground next to her. He collapsed by her side."I'm so sorry!Please tell me you're okay!
