\*\*Journey begins\*\*

Hi, my name is Levi Sen, I'm a wizard living in the kingdom of Larion. You will not find this place in your map, it is a very beautiful place where all the fantasies are real which people write in their stories. You may be thinking why this place is not located in your map? I will tell you why to let's go on an adventure where you can understand it much better.

I always carry a staff and spellbook for my journeys. I have finished my long journey and finally arrive at the ruin I've been looking for. I have come here searching for a mystical spellbook of great power called the book of the essence. Rumours are that this is one of the super tier books which can grant you greater powerful magic. I look around and see nothing but ancient stones and a few bones. After searching for hours I give up and go back to the road and head back home.

[Next Day]

"Explore more in the ruin to find something hidden in it. Happy hunting!" Said my magic clock. It was his daily routine to wake me up and speak those words. I always wake up listening to those words. I have been living alone for years. It's a long story which I will tell you later on my adventure. After a few hours of walking, I reached a new ruin which was never explored before according to what I think. I have limited sources of information because I have been kicked out from the capital guild and I can’t go there and ask for pieces of information like other adventures.

So anyway lets come to the main story here I'm in front of the new ruin to explore. I entered inside, then I find a rock which is of egg shape I smash the rock and giant rats come out.

They tried to attack me when they saw me but they are very slow and I easily run away from them. I don’t carry a sword or shield because I am not a warrior, I mainly depend on my magic to protect myself. I always wanted to learn magic and I have been learning it since my childhood.

I try to cast a sleep spell but something is different about the atmosphere. I feel my very being drained of life. It's like someone is watching me and my magic is not working.

Dark souls start to float around me, trying to attack me. I'm not able to cast any spell now.

I'm in a very dangerous situation. I need to find a way out of here fast. It was common to encounter monsters in the ruins, monsters and other small creatures make their home in the ruins to live in the shadow and protect themselves. So I once again tried to cast magic. I cast like more than ten defensive spells to protect myself.

I was sure this time that it worked because the creatures are immediately killed and the magic energy is back to me. I can cast my spell again. Something is odd I just used so much magic but I didn’t feel like my magic points have decreased even a bit. There is a limit to how much magic a user can cast at once the more skilled they are the more they can use their spell.

I quickly use my search spell to find something which I missed here. I quickly find something very rare and mysterious... A soul gem!!!

I thought this item must have helped me to restore my magic and allowed me to cast such a powerful spell just now.

This is the perfect container for the souls I have caught. I use it to store the souls I have captured and I keep searching for more treasures.

I used my magic and teleport myself out of the ruin. I feel a great relief and a sense of achievement after my teleportation.

I have returned to the entrance of the ruin.

The sky started to turn dark and a large dragon was in the sky. I was lucky I didn't encounter any dangers on my way here.

I know that I need to find somewhere to sleep for the night so I can continue my journey tomorrow.

Should I sleep in this field?

I decide to sleep in the field for tonight. I hope that there are no dangerous creatures out there that might disturb me.

As I was about to fall asleep, I hear strange noises coming from near the bushes.

I use my spellbook to cast a protection barrier around me and I fall asleep.

I spend the next day travelling further west to search for the ruins. I eventually see them while I was passing by a small lake.

I see an adventurer near that ruin. There is a small path leading up to the ruins. I see a young man near the entrance of the ruin.

I approach the young man and he looks surprised to see me.

"Oh, hello! You look like an experienced adventurer. You wouldn't mind helping out a newcomer then, would you?

"Hello, friend, of course, let's explore this ruin together. By the way, my name is 'Levi Sen' and you?" I said.

"Oh, I am Han. Don't believe we've met, I am just starting out. I heard that there was a strong magic presence here and wanted to explore it alone as a challenge.” Han said with a proud smile in his face.

"You are very brave Han, but you should always have someone to watch your back," I said.

Han and I enter the ruin to explore.

The entrance to the ruin is large and wide. It leads into a larger corridor that seems to go on forever.

I cast a spell which brings light to see through the dark.

That spell causes a small ball of light to appear. We can now see clearly with the light.

We find many ancient statues and old rusting weapons, spears and shield. We enter a small room which has old paintings of kings. It seems to be a gallery of some sort.

I see a gold crown on one of the statues. "Do you know what that crown is?" I asked.

Han expression told me that he didn't know about it either. So I use my spellbook to find some useful magic to search for an item.

I cast a spell and see the crown on the statue. Nothing happens it was a traditional ordinary crown.

We enter the next room. It was a treasure room but it was empty. Someone must have come here before and looted all the treasures. There were still a few gems and silver coin left which means the actual treasure was really huge.

I tell Han that we should split up now. I want to see if there is another passage leading deeper in the ruin.

"The best way to find the treasure is to explore every nook and corner!"

I give a magic ring to Han, so if he needs help he can use that ring to call me. I hand the ring to Han and tell him if he can see himself in any trouble he can use this ring to call me for help. We both agree to meet up at the main corridor again.

I find a chest which was locked with some ancient magic. I was excited to open it and look inside. As I was about to cast a spell to open the chest box, I heard the sound of someone following me and watching me from behind. There was a third person besides us.

As I tried to look who that person was, a light came from his direction, I can see his cloth which was similar to mine. He then vanished into thin air. It was very strange that the magic that he just used was similar to mine which I use to teleport to a safe place but that spell takes about one minute to teleport even at a short distance. But his spell was a lot faster than mine, he teleported as soon as I saw him and tried to catch him.

I put that box in my personal inventory. It was created by magic which allows you to put the endless item in it, but the more item I put in it the harder it becomes to search in it again.

Han and I meet at the main corridor as planned. "Did you find anything?" I asked. "Certainly not, it looks like others who have come before we had looted all the treasures," Han said. I was a little disappointed but I didn't talk about the third person to Han and decided to leave this ruin.

"What is that bag, you were not carrying it before?" I asked him as I was curious to know more about this.

Han opens the bag and takes out a squirming, disgusting looking creature. It looked like a little fish with legs. Han drops it and it dies instantly. "It's a kobold," That kobold was holding a small sword and wearing armour. Which he used to cut the throat of Han. Luckily I was holding light which scared this creature. Kobolds are noted for their skill at building traps and preparing ambushes. They are very aggressive, xenophobic, yet industrious small humanoid creatures, very durable. They can also spit poison. Kobolds have the advantage of being very small, they can hide anywhere and they are effective in combat.

I was confused and didn’t know why Han was carrying that.

I tried to carry the dead body of Han but soon later an owlbear blocked my path. It has sharp claws, his eyes were glowing in the dark.

I cast a protection barrier along with teleportation magic to get out of this cursed ruin.

I regret to this day that Han is no longer alive.

The END of Chapter \- 1

The outset of a new adventure

It was really a nightmare all the things happened and I couldn’t believe Han has just died.

A light shines through my bag, it was as bright as the sun. I could not see directly to it. I start

to feel dizzy and my body fell on the ground.

[Next Day]

I woke up with a lot of pain. My whole body was in a lot of pain, I don’t know what had

happened last night. Right now I’m outside the ruin under a tree, the air here is very smooth

and the environment is very relaxing. I tried to find Han’s body but nothing is here not even

the blood spilt which was a lot of mess yesterday. I tried to remember what happened

last night. I remember that there was light coming through my magical inventory which I use

to store my goods. I look inside my magical bag and only one thing was missing, which was

the ‘Soul Gem’ I found and there was a sword which was not there before. That sword

belonged to Han but I don’t know how it gets here. It must have been soul gem which gets

activated and shining but what really happened?

“Grrrrr….”

I was feeling very hungry, I need some food to gain my strength back and think about this

later. I feel like my body had gotten heavy somehow, I think it is because of tiredness and

needed some rest.

I find a good hotel to rest and got breakfast with some beer. I think food tastes ten times

better when you are really hungry. I paid my two gold coins which I found in the ruin for the

food and the room. I the owner of this hotel is a really nice lady. She allowed me to stay for

five days. I am really feeling very sleepy now after having such a nice breakfast I head

towards my room. The room was not a luxury one, it had an old wooden bed and spiders

were living in every corner. There was an old dusty mirror, I look inside it and was shocked

to see Han inside the mirror. “Wait, Am I dreaming?” I said. Only then after that, I realize

that it was not Han in the mirror but it was me inside Han’s body.

I could not believe my eyes, how can this be possible. Then only I realize that it must be the

soul gem which has done all this. There is no mark of cut on my neck where the kobold has

attacked Han. It was all healed like nothing has happened anything before. “What I’m going

to do now? Where is my real body then?” I thought inside my head. I tried to relax for now. I

lied down on the bed and fell asleep. When I wake up and looked outside the window, the sun has already set, it was night time. I looked inside the mirror once again and realized that

it was not a dream.

I wouldn’t sleep at night. I took out my spellbook and tried to cast some simple spells, it

worked.

“At least my magic is not gone”.

I open my magical bag and tried holding that sword, I had never before wielded a sword. But

when I hold the sword in my hand I felt like I know what I am doing. I swing the sword like a

warrior and accidentally bumped into the wall.

“Oops! I need to be careful about not damaging the room or goanna end up paying for it.”

I spent my whole night practising my magic and learned the sharp techniques of the sword

which was already inside my head. It was a memory of Han which I remembered. In this

world learning both sorcery and melee techniques was not an easy task.

A person can only spend his whole life mastering magic or swordsmanship.

There was a large variety of magical spells as well as melee weapon techniques for warrior

and no one can master both. Very few legendary heroes of the world would pull that off.

The wizards can only practice with their long remembering long words while the warrior

only trains with melee weapons.

“And I’m also going to become one of the legendary heroes”.

I left the hotel room before dawn. I reached deep into woods to practice the more. I already

got into this body which was skilled in with melee weapons, and my magical skills combined

can give me an ultimate advantage into the battle. Han has really learned many swords

techniques but he was very kind and could not harm a living being. I think that’s the reason

he is killed.

I spend hours below the waterfall meditating to cleanse the mind, body and soul. Then after

that, I did Leg squats, two hundred push-ups and plank. These routine exercises must have

been part of Han’s daily life because even after doing so much work out for the first time in

the life I was not feeling tired at all. If I was in my original body I would have not able to pull off

this training. Magic caster doesn’t need physical training like warriors.

I took out my sword, and examine it first. Its edge was not really that sharp it looked like it

has been used many times and it’s quite an old sword. Nevertheless, I only needed it for practice. I hold the sword with both of my hands and swing it hard. After swinging the sword

a tried to combine my magical skills to it. I cast a fire spell and tried concentrating it on the

edges of the blade. The point of the sword started to glow red and suddenly the fire grew

big. I throw the sword away. It was not that easy as I had thought it would be.

I again hold the sword with my two hands and cast the fire spell. This time I tried making a

straight fire into the air and slowly bringing the fire towards the edges of the sword. It

worked, now I only needed to maintain it and try swinging with it. But after a few minutes,

the sword started to glow red and my hands started burning. I throw the sword again on the

ground. I need to fix this problem first. I need a sword that cannot burn trough fire.

There is those type of swords which are made from special crystal which is not affected by

fire but getting hands-on those type of swords would cost lots of gold which I didn’t have

right now. Those type of swords really has sharp blades which can cut through rock without

breaking. Maybe it can find that crystals I can make a sword of my own with my creation magic.

“I should give it a try”.

I then began on a quest to find those crystals.

Friend or foe

“He’s coming, hide quickly,” said a young man, hiding behind a tree.

There were two more with him. The three were waiting for someone.

When Levi was passing through the road in search of the crystal these men encircled him. They all have swords in their hands.

“Hello Han, how are you doing?” said the young man.

“Hope you have something for us?” said another man, he was skinny of among them all.

They were the people who always used to bully Han.

“C’mon buddy take out the gold pieces which u got from the ruin.” Said the fatty with a wide smile on his face and holding a sword in his hand.

“I don’t have anything with me, so **** off and let me go,” said Levi preparing for the worst-case and observing the three.

After hearing these words all three become very angry with Han and tried to beat him up.

But they didn’t know that it was not the same old Han they have known, it was Levi who was inside now.

Before they could attack him, Levi took out his sword and blocked their sword with his great reflex. But then also Levi was outnumbered.

He got an idea in his head. He cast a spell on his sword again which quickly made the sword burn and heat up. This time he removed the spell as soon the sword started to glow red.

The young man was first to stand again and he quickly ran towards Levi. He blocked his attack with his sword. When both swords collide with each other young man’s sword broke in two. It was because the heat from Levi’s sword melted the other sword and cut it into half.

Meanwhile, the other two had also stand on their feet but seeing this the other two didn’t dare to attack and defend the young man and instantly ran from there. The young man also left his broken sword and ran from there.

They have never seen Han or any other person who was good in both with swords and sorcery.

“How can this possible boss? Did Han learned magic somehow?” asked the fatty panting.

The young man was the boss of the other two. They were still shocked by the incident that just back there.

“He is a magic caster?” said skinny man catching his breath.

“Shut up you two. I have known Han since childhood. He always has been practising with melee weapons and never once saw him learning magic.” The young man replied.

“Ah, I am saved. I guess they never have seen a swordsman with casting magic.” Levi remembered that these people always used to bully Han and they really enjoyed it.

“I need to teach them a good lesson so they can never try to pick a fight with me again.” Levi thought in his head.

He holds the broken sword and cast magic which would tell the location of its owner but for it to work it needed DNA or fingerprint of the owner. Which was already available on the sword. After finishing with his wizardry a map was build inside Levi’s head which could lead him to them.

He followed that location and soon reached where the three were hiding. They haven’t run very far.

“Holy Earth and light help me and follow my lead…” Levi cast magic and soon the nearby branched of the trees started to grow and move towards the three.

“Ah what is this? What is happening?” Said the three in unison.

The trees branches started to move and

The branches grab all three and lifted them in air. They tried to push themselves out of the branches but were unable to. Branches started to swing and rotate them in a circle. Fatty couldn’t take handle the pressure and vomited on the ground after a few rounds. The other two also started to feel the sick was begging for it to stop. A few moments later branched slowed down and stopped rotating.

“Hello there, how you doing guys?” said Levi coming out from the woods.

“You…You how did u do this? When did you learn magic?’ said the young man not knowing what to anymore.

“Do you have any… wizard helping you? Let’s us go please, we promise we will never harm you again.” Said fatty looking worst.

“Oh I am dying, please have mercy let me go. I swear, I will do whatever you want.” Said the skinny guy fearing that he might kill them.

After listening to them Levi said, “I originally came planned to teach you a lesson but now I have some other plans.”

“What kind of plans??” asked the young man with fear in his eyes and looked like he is going to start crying any moment.

“I want you all to join me and help me with my quest.”

“We will boss, we will follow you.” the young man replied and agreed quickly.

“Okay now I’m going to free you to remember what you said”

The branched unwrapped them and moved to their original place.

They were still feeling dizzy and couldn’t stand on their feet.

“Drink this, it’s a healing potion.” Levi handed them a green bottle.

They quickly accepted it and emptied the bottle. It instantly healed them up. They quickly got up and followed him on a new quest.

“Before we go here take this.” Levi gave the sword which was broken earlier to the young man.

“Wow! You really have changed. You are not like the old Han I remembered and you have learned…” Levi ignored him and quickly said “Ah! One more thing call me Levi, for u guys ‘Levi Sen’ and also let us do an introduction.”

Others were confused, why Han wanted to call Levi. But they dared not ask them. The young man introduced himself first. “I am Ral, and I come from a warrior’s family.”

“I am [ ] and I also come from a warrior’s family.” Said the skinny guy.

Lastly, it was fatty’s turn “I am [ ] and also come from a warrior’s family.”

After the introduction was complete they set on a new journey.
