" I clicked off the T.V after the news man finished, "Alex, we can't keep killing people around here, its dangerous." I knew we had to eat souls of humans, as demons that's all we can eat, a simple slice of cake would be hell ( no pun intended.) for us. "but Jack-" I cut Alex off, "I know, but we have to move away from here, if we keep living here we could get caught!" I tried to explain this delicately but Alex kept protesting, "so you want me to leave this all behind? I finally got in to a half *** decent school!" sometimes Alex could be a little on the sensitive side, I learned this after living with him for 1 year now. "ok fine," I said trying to force my anger down, "we can try to stay here a little longer, but if we get caught..." Alex gave a heavy sigh, "Jack you know that won't happen, I'll protect you, I made that promise when we started dating, even if that did happen you'd still be my lil demon." I felt tears forming in my eyes, you know how I said Alex was a little sensitive? that was a lie. I'm the one that crys the most. "shut up..." I said, my voice shaking as a waterfall of tears spilled out of my eyes down my face, Alex's strong arms wrapped around me, in a embrace that I couldn't simply wiggle out of even if I wanted to, "it gonna be all right....we can skip school tomorrow if you want, go on a date, only if you want to of course. and trust me, we won't miss anything." his calm voice soothed me, "are you sure we won't miss anything?" I don't normally doubt what Alex says, but if my grades plummet my Dad will kill me... "yes I'm completely sure, remember what Mr.Garret said?" now that I look back on it...I think I might have slept through his class yesterday, oops. "nope, I think I slept through his class yesterday." a heavy silence filled the room for a moment, "oh yeah.well, he basically said- all the teachers have a meeting all day tomorrow, so we'll have a ton of substitute teachers tomorrow so be on your best behavior. so yeah, we won't miss a lot, probably just some reading and non import shit, and besides tomorrow's Friday, we don't get homework on Fridays, and if we do...I don't do it." Alex was looked like he was gonna die if I didn't give him my answer in the next few minutes. "fine.a date would be nice, and besides I do need new clothes...." Alex pulled me away from his warm body, and looked me in the eyes- damn hes hot! his warm blue eyes were like the color of the ocean, his hair black as night with no stars in the sky, but best of all his personality, hes the sweetest man you'll ever meet, even if hes starving he let's me have the first taste of the soul.he pulled my blond hair out of my face, "your the only man I've ever see with such pretty green eyes, Jack if I told you I could live without you, that would be a lie." Alex kissed me on the cheek, "we need to get some rest- it's all ready 1:36." I looked over at the clock, he was right. I stood up and flung my self in to our bed and almost instantly fell into a deep sleep.

Alex and I woke up hungry, we had forgotten to eat dinner last night, it was still night so we could break into someone's house kill them, and eat there soul, simple. "ya know if we kill our Neighbors it'll be suspicious...maybe we should kill someone in apartment B, sound good?" Alex's hair swept in front of his eyes, I brushed his soft hair out of his face."yes," I replied softly, I stared at him for a moment- so handsome. "ok let's go!" I nearly jumped from the bed, I was so lost in his ocean blue eyes,"ok! I'm coming!" I replied as I bolted upwards and walked to the door. apartment B was a bit away so Alex scooped me up in his arms and flew there- oh yeah. kinda forgot to mention that as demons we have wings. I read the apartment numbers, B426, B763, B585, until we agreed on B371 I don't know why we agreed on that number but we chose a random one which so happened to be B317.now I'm not gonna go into detail, but this soul was rare, a sense of hatred loomed over this person, yet there soul was... pure, sweet and untainted by the hatred, a true treat. after we finished Alex scooped me up once again, it was starting to get bright out, I'd say 6 ish if I had to guess. I snuggled closer to Alex's warm body, it wasn't long from our apartment to apartment B, but if we walked in would take to long. I guess I must have dozed off for a moment because the rushing wind wasn't hitting me anymore and I was laying on the couch, with a heavy warm blanket on. ya know, this is why I love Alex- he'll go outta his way to make me feel safe comfortable and happy, I stayed there for moment more, I was loved by him, and he was my only love. I rose from where I'd been laying, Alex turned around and smiled at me,"finally awake eh?" Alex turned back to what he was doing,"how about we go see a movie tonight...my treat." it looked like he had all ready showered, how long have I been out? "ok, I'm down for that, but I need to go shower, ok?" I stood up but my legs felt like lead, I started to wobble but Alex rushed to my side and stabilized me before I could collapse, Alex gave me a look that said- 'I'm gonna help you shower, and your not gonna put up a fuss.' Alex lead me to the shower, placed me on the toilet seat and started to undress me. "UHHH...NO THANKS I CAN DO THAT MYSELF-" I started to yell but he cut me off, "oh no, you are so weak you can't even stand up, I'm doing this and helping you bathe, now can you please be quiet? it's still 6." I looked over at the clock, it was 6:23, "fine." I decided to agree because I know he wants the best for me. he started to take off my shirt again, but when I looked into his eyes I couldn't help to notice there was a little bit of sadness lingering in his pretty blue eyes, something was wrong but I didn't know what it was... god I feel helpless."hey..." I started to say but a stream of tears fell down Alex's face, shit...I feel like I did something wrong... "there are so many men, but you chose me? why me? I'm only gonna bring you down with me into a web of problems...." I know that Alex's mom abused him, physically and verbally, and his dad died before he was born in a shooting incident at the office he worked at, according to him someone was unhappy about how the boss treated him and everyone else, so he brought a gun in and shot the boss, but when his father tried to interfere the guy who killed the boss shot right through his father, he was D.O.A from blood loss. his mother had him and made his life a living hell for his first 10 years of life, until she killed herself. he was eventually sent to a orphanage, but that didn't last, he escaped and fended for himself on the streets till some old lady in our area found him and adopted him. Alex ended up in the same middle school as me...and things just kinda set off from there.I looked him dead in the eye, "I chose you because I love you.." I said while wrapping him in a tight (or as tight as I can, I'm pretty weak) embrace.his tears were getting my sleeve all wet, we sat there for a few minutes more before he finally moved his head,"I'm sorry- " he started to apologize but I quickly cut him off, "no need to be sorry, tears are just emotions coming out, kinda like overflowing till the dam breaks." he smiled at me wiped the tear away and continued undressing me,"shit there's no towels..." Alex muttered to himself as he walked out the bathroom.the water started to fill up the tub, the drumming of the water hitting the bottom of the tub, I feel like crying but I don't know why. I'm so fucking weak, I'll cry out my heart on the daily while Alex holds me. Alex came back in with a fluffy white towel folded neatly in his arms, "all right," Alex said while picking me up "how about a nice warm bath?" I looked at him, right in his pretty blue eyes, how can someone as handsome and nice as him be dating someone like me, all the women swoon over him in public functions- such as a restaurant for example.

Alex carred me out of the bathroom, as he set me on the bed he kissed me "how can I not take advantage of this..?" he had a sly tone in his voice. "hey can we save this for later?" Alex looked at me with a little disappointment in his eyes, "ok fine, we do have busy day today... at least tomorrow's the weekend." Alex said in a smooth tone while putting on my socks, "you should rest your legs for a bit and drink some water, that will help your sore legs." I looked at him and touched under his eye, "maby if you were to hold me that may also help..." he smiled at me and scooped me up in his arms, "and maby kiss you?" Alex said just before thrusting his tongue in my mouth. he pulled his mouth from mine and slipped on my shirt, "you know I can put on my shirt, its just my legs acting up..." Alex pinned me to the bed "you know the only person who will be taking off your shirt is me..." I slipped my hand under his shirt and rubbed his abs, "tonight." I reminded him. he sat up walked over to the fridge and got some water (yes, we can drink water) he walked back to me, he held out the glass for me, I chugged the water how could I not realize how thirsty I was? Alex pushed me down on the bed but not in a 'playful' way, he cuddled up next to me "you should sleep- it'll help." Alex said while drifting off.

when I woke Alex was all ready up, "how are your legs feeling?" he asked, I could see he was concerned, I stood up without falling- I don't know why my legs were like that in the first place but I could care less. I looked over at the clock it read 8:05, the sun had risen quite high. "so what movie would you care to watch this evening?" I remembered he had told me he was going to pay for the movies tonight. "whatever you want.." I honestly could care less "theres a new horror movie- 'Lost in Time' it seems pretty interesting, would you care to see it?" he sounded really excited about the movie "yeah sure.." whatever as long as it pleases him. "can we go out downtown today? theres a nice cafe I wanna check out..and I need some more clothes." the only thing that we can enjoy like humans is- tea, coffee, water and wine. it makes no sense but I think it's because were only half demon. Alex's mom was a demon and his father was a human. its the opposite for me though, my mom's a human and my father's a demon. "ok sounds good!" he looked excited, probably about the movie and when we get home tonight. Alex how could I live with out you?

we left a 10, as Alex was driving he asked "are you excited? I mean for shopping and the movie...and of course later tonight." I smiled, **** I forgot about the fun that later tonight withholds. "I'm excited about everything!" I said in a cherry tone. the car came to a stop, "well the malls right here so..." the mall was NOT Alex's favorite place to be, I know that but I need new clothes, soooo yeah. "well come on! I'm not waiting all day!" I said behind my shoulder as of I was all ready out the car. "ok! fine jesus...." Alex yelled while running after me. as soon as he had caught up with me I was all ready inside the building "Alexxxxxx! why, and how are you so slowwwww!" I said while grabbing his wrist and dragging him to the store that had shirts and pants and such. one of the staff came up to us, I read her name tag- Linda. Linda had obviously dyed red hair with brown, maby hazel eyes, she looked about 23 ish. "ah! so I see you brought your friend along with you! how old are you?" Linda said while looking at Alex, "19 years old why do you ask?" I could see anger in Alex's eyes "oh! just wondering why your friend is so young! 15 maby?" she said while looking at me, I could tell she wanted for me to go so she could ask Alex his number "first of all he" Alex said while looking at me "is in fact the same age as me, second of all-" he stopped it looked like he didn't know what to say, "what ever, never mind...." he looked like he wanted to leave. "oh! my apologies!" Linda opened her big yap again "the men's section is right over there!" she pointed to the left, lo and behold a giant sign read 'Mens cloths and apparel.' Alex took my hand and and headed towards the left "now can you see why I hate the mall? all these 'hot' women trying to flirt with me, it's revolting honestly because all I care about is you..." he leaned over and kissed my head, I blushed. "hey-" I started to say "yeah yeah, not in public. anyways try on some clothes you said you needed some more correct?" I looked around, there were some shirts and pants that might be worth trying on. "yeah.... but can you come in the changing room when I'm done to see if what I picked out looks good?" I asked "no need to show me, I'm sure you'll look fine! besides I need to do a little shopping of my own!" I started to walk off, what does he need though?

Alex's POV:

Jack started to walk off he looked a little confused, probably wondering what I need since I'm stocked on clothes, or more or less like 2 weeks worth of clothes. now let the fun begin, trying to find my love the perfect ring!

If I'm correct there should be a jewelry store next to this horrible clothing store, were one of the staff (Linda, that bitch, though her soul seemed sweet might have to kill her later.) obviously was going to ask for my number. as I entered the store I saw precious glittering gemstones all around me, a Male staff came up to me I read his name tag- Mark. "hello Sir! is there anything in particular you would like?" Mark asked me, "yes actually... is there any emerald rings by chance?" I wanted to give Jack a pretty emerald ring to match with his eyes, the sweet innocent looking eyes of his. "oh yes! come over here!" Mark said while leading me over to a glass box with a ton of rings "so who's the lucky lady?" he probably thought I was going to engage to my fiance, but that wasn't the case at all I just wanted to give Jack something nice. I looked over the rings without answering him, the rings all were gouges, yet the only one that caught my eye was the fourth one in the second row. it had a silver daisy on it with a peice of carefully cut emerald in the center all on top of a gold band. "ummm.. is it possible that I can buy the fourth ring in the second row?" I asked, if I couldn't oh well. "oh yes, most definitely! what size?" I asked for Jack's size, of which I only new because I asked him like a week ago. Mark walked over to the counter to grab the correct size. "all right! that I'll be...." he checked the price tag "1,000 USD!" I gladly handed over the money, I was perfectly fine with that price, just as long as Jack liked it. "now I hope your girlfriend will love that ring!" Mark said just as I turned around and stared to walk, ya know what? this dude is really getting on my nerves assuming I'm straight! I sighed, "I'm gay." I called out while leaving the store. I looked out of the corner of my eye to see his dumbstruck face, as I expected his reaction was priceless. now, all I have to do is wait till the end of the movie to give this to him.
