Parallel World Lyberia

Chapter 1: Rebirth

On an average day in Tokyo, Japan, our protagonist Izuku is running late to work after a whole night of playing video games. Izuku works at a convenience store with his childhood friend Saito. He hasn't been to work in three days because he was playing Dillionteria online, a fantasy VRMMORPG (Virtual Reality Multimedia Online Roleplaying Game). Izuku's character's name in Dillionteria online is Hiro he is a demon lord, one of the highest level characters in the game. (You can only upgrade to a demon lord class after passing level 999 with a demon character.)

“Oh no, I’m late. I knew I should’ve stopped at midnight,” thought Izuku.

He got to work at the convenience store where Saito was already working, stacking shelves, then he spots Izuku.

“Hey man, what’s up? Where were you for the past few days? I had to tell everyone you were sick,” explains Saito.

“Sorry man, I was leveling Hiro up, and he finally made it to level 1,000. I’m so excited to play after work!” exclaims Izuku.

“I think you may be at the highest level in the game,” says Saito amazed.

“Well, level 1,000 is the level cap, so…maybe,” answers Izuku.

“How many character classes does he have?” asks Saito.

“All of them. I was bored one day, so I decided to get more classes. Three hundred hours in and I had them all,” says Izuku nonchalantly.

“All of them! Wow. Izuku, aren’t there like a hundred classes that all go to level 120 each, and for you even to get other classes you need your main level to be 120 first? My character’s only level forty, so I have a long way to go,” says Saito.

“Yeah, but you can make it. It was pretty easy to get to level 500 after the first ten months, but then it gets a bit harder,” says Izuku chuckling.

“Then it gets hard?” he yells. “Sometimes, I forget how much of a hard core gamer you are.” exclaims Saito.

“How about I help you level after work?” asks Izuku.

“If I have time, I am a busy man you know, but sure,” says Saito smiling.

“Like old times,” answers Izuku smiling back.

“Look, we have a customer,” says Saito looking at a man in a hood walking through the door.

“I’ll be right back, I gotta get some stuff from the back, you take this one and I got the next,” says Saito leaving.

“Hello how may I help y-” pauses Izuku after seeing the gun in the man’s jacket pointed at him.

“Give me all the money in the cashregister, slowly! We wouldn't want this to get messy,” whispers the man.

“Ok, ok just don't do anything crazy,” whispers Izuku putting money in a paper bag.

In the corner of his eye Izuku sees Saito walking back into the room, and yells as he jumps in front of him, “Saito watch out!” The gun goes off, and Izuku collapses on the floor with blood gushing out of his chest. The man yells, “Damn! I tried to warn u kid, I gotta go.”

The man grabs the money and runs out the door.

“No, no! Help! Someone help me! My friend is dying!” crys Saito.

“Are you okay? You’re not hurt, are you?” asks Izuku whispering.

“No, I’m alright, but you’re not. Don’t worry, the ambulance will be here in a moment--just hold on!” says Saito trying to reassure him.

     “You’re okay. That's good... I’m glad… That… you're… Okay,” Says Izuku getting quieter.

“No, please don’t leave me, we’ve been friends for too long. I wish...I wish we spent more time together,” says Saito crying.

They both hear ambulance sirens in the background.

“See the ambulance is almost here, just hold on a bit-” Saito stops crying as Izuku grasps his hand.

“It’s too late, Saito” izuku says with a smile on his face.” “I’m going firs-,” Izuku says as his hand hits the floor limp, with the gleam leaving his eyes.

An instant after, Izuku wakes up floating in a place with no walls, floor or ceiling and all he can see is darkness, then out of nowhere he hears a voice says “Do you feel this is unfair?"

     "Who are you? Asks Izuku.

"I am the goddess of Life and death, and I have been keeping my eye on you. Instead of putting your soul into a new body and starting life over again how about I put it in a body you're more “familiar” with.” states the god.

“What do you mean more familia-? Wait, am I dead? I don't feel dead, but then again I’ve never really been dead before, so I wouldn’t really know, so first I need to know, why did you not put my soul into a random body?” asks Izuku.

“I see great promise in you, and I believe you can accomplish many great things that can not even be fathomed, so do you want to come to a world where life is never boring?” asks the god.

“Sure, it seems like fun. Also, I’ve never been one who’s liked to restart,” answers Izuku.

“Wonderful! Now, all I need is one more thing. What will your new name be?” asks the god.

“Well...I’ve never really been good at naming things, so…. better stick with what I’ve got,” Izuku answers. “My new name is Hiro.”

“A splendid name, well everything seems to be accounted for, welcome back to the world of the living, live long and prosperous, now awaken Hiro!” exclaims the god.

In the blink of an eye Hiro woke up in a field surrounded by floating islands, huge mountains on the horizon, and a city to his right a few miles away, but still in sight, then suddenly a dragon flies by and scares Hiro and he falls but when he hits the ground he sees in the corner of his eye -.001 damage and a red bar pops up completely full, then reads +1000 and it goes away.

“Wait, was that just Hiro’s automatic regeneration skill,” he says, running to a pond.

When he gets to the pond he sees himself, he has a slightly muscular body, a lizard's tail, demon horns, one of his eyes are blue and the other is red, and he has white hair. He’s wearing a black cloak, on all his fingers were red, green, purple, blue, black, white, orange, yellow, and grey rings except his marriage one, a gold necklace with sharp edges on it, and a tattoo on his cheek.

     “Am I Hiro!” thought Izuku.

“Hmmm, If I’m Hiro I should check to see if still have all my powers,” thought Hiro.

Hiro got in his fighting stance and strained his body toward an area of plains, But nothing happens.

“I guess I can't just point because the game controls aren't helping me, does my inventory work." Wonders Hiro.

     “Inventory!” yells Hiro.

A black and purple portal opens up and Hiro looks through and saw he had tons of items: healing potions, magic potions, stamina potions, billions of this world's currency, special items (like clothes, other potions, etc.), weapons, armor, and magic books which only had one book in it which was a magic use manual, put his hand in and grabs the magic use manual, It says to use magic call out the name of the specific spell you want to use and add MP.

“Okay, seems easy enough,” says Hiro.

Hiro looks back to the plains this time he holds out one finger and says “Thunder gods reunion” at that moment ten bolts of lightning strike the same spot and turns that part into a burning crater.

“Okay, that seemed a little strong for a level 40 spell, Well, it might have continued leveling with me so that explains it,” says Hiro.

“Okay, I should head to that city over there to search for people who can help me,” says Hiro walking towards the city.

Hiro almost makes it to the city and he sees a huge wall with a closed gate with two guards standing watch twenty yards away from him, but he can sense ten hiding in the shadows.

“Stop right there demon! Don’t move, no demons are aloud in the city!” yelling the guard from the gate.

Hiro wonders what to say as he looks at the side of his vision that reads *new skill: demonic tongue* then he says “Demonic tongue?”

Hiro unknowingly turns on the skill.

“Shut up you puny humans, do you really think you can stop me with just twelve men?” Hiro yells walking towards the city.

“How did he-, nevermind that. attack! yells all the guards.

They all run towards Hiro and try to stab him with their swords, but they all bounce off not even scratching his clothes.

“Wow I was kinda hoping I could at least warm up a little bit, but this is just boring,” Hiro says as he cracks his fingers.

When he cracks his fingers, all of the guards fall dead except one, then Hiro walks over to the guard.

“Wh-wh-who are you, h-how did you do this!” asks the guard in fear.

“Sorry, I actually wanted to give you more of a chance, but you didn't give me a chance to take my rings off,” explains Hiro.

“Y-your rings, w-what about y-your r-r-r-r-rings?” asks the guard almost petrified with fear.

Hiro points at his red ring on his right index finger and says, “This ring absorbs all attacks with damage lower than 10,000.” Then he points to his green ring on his left index finger and continues “and this one takes all of that stored up power and releases it into whatever I choose.”

“So you killed them all with those rings?” asks the guard.

“No, they died from shock, this is their power,” says Hiro pointing his hand towards the gate.

The next second a green light came out of his hand and then a huge mountain behind them in the distance was cut and the tip if the mountain fell off.

“Who are you, I've only ever heard of twelve people to have ever existed with this type of magic,” says the guard before he faints from exhaustion.

“Twelve people, that’s pretty bor- wait, have I been acting weird since I got here, I called them puny humans, I killed eleven people without batting an eye or even caring about human life, maybe…. Inventory,” says Hiro fearfully.

Hiro sees his inventory and he has new skills Superiority a passive skill (curse) that makes the caster sometimes speak and act very angry towards anything weaker than the caster. Demon Lord’s mind a passive skill that makes the caster not feel remorse when killing or seeing others killed no matter how gruesome, Memory card passive skill that keeps all your skills, abilities, appearance, items, memories, and level but you lose past attachments, fears, addictions and weaknesses, Combination Magic a passive ability that allows the caster to use more than one skill at once, Alter reality a passive and active ability that can allow you to alter the very world. For example the active part is you can make a castle out of nothing, however for the passive part is if the caster uses 100% of their magic power the caster can turn the environment into raw magic power. Grand Mage, a passive skill that allows you to use grand magic which can create whole kingdoms or decimate a whole continent, Hiro sees more skills but he pauses.

“I see Demon lord’s mind and demonic tongue were to blame for me acting weird, and memory card is why I look like Hiro and remember my past, that’s so many new skills though, and I want to try them out but right now I feel like I need to go into this city,” says Hiro opening up the gate to enter the mysterious city.

Chapter 2: The Abandoned Village

When Hiro opens the gates and sees hundreds of small abandoned houses with a huge wall behind it, ten dead villager bodies in front of the gate, and a hundred villagers wearing tattered clothes with broken weapons all point at Hiro.

“L-l-leave demon,” says the villager that was in front of the rest.

“Who would you be?” asks Hiro.

“My name is Dan, I am the village chief,” answers Dan.

Dan looks like he's in his late 40's, wearing tattered old faded blue clothes, greying black hair, hunched over holding a walking stick for support.

“I didn’t need your name, you insignificant human,” says Hiro.

“You can’t say that to the chief,” says a villager.

“Yeah, just who do you think you are?” yells another villager.

“I am Hiro, a demon lord,” answers Hiro.

“D-d-did he just say d-demon lord,” says a villager.

“That’s impossible, the last demon lord died ages ago,” states Dan.

“Do you intend me to prove who I am,” asks Hiro menacingly.

“No, we believe you, those men out there were royal guards. Their power surpasses a normal man 10,000 times over and you killed them all,” says Dan.

“They were stronger than 10,000 normal men? No way, I don’t want to believe it,” thought Hiro in shock.

“Mister demon lord, can you please help us?” asks a little boy limping over to him in tattered clothes looking malnourished.

The boy looks to be four or five years old with black hair, old faded clothes, blind in one eye and a broken leg.

“Why aren’t you afraid of me? Leave, go to your parents,” says Hiro.

The boy points to the dead bodies “They won’t wake up, I keep trying to wake them up but they won’t get up, can you please help us mister?” asks the boy almost in tears.

“Hmm, maybe let me check something first,” says Hiro, opening his inventory.

As this happens time completely stops.

Hiro looks at his other new skills: [Overwrite a passive skill that can allow the caster to overwrite or change their or other people’s skills, abilities, or status effects]. [Unlimited magic, a passive skill that allows the caster's MP to never deplete]. [Ability gain a passive skill that allows the caster to learn new skills, techniques, abilities, spells, etc]. [Magic erase a skill that erases all magic power within the range of the caster current range: as far as the caster can see]. [Intimidating presence an active skill the puts unending fear into the casters enemy, there are five levels, level 1 will make the caster’s enemy fear for ten minutes, level 2 will make the caster’s enemy lose the will to fight the caster, level 3 will make the caster’s enemy listen to any command given by the caster as if its gospel, level 4 will make the caster’s enemy wish for death, level 5 will make the caster’s enemy lose the will to ever pick up a weapon again].

[Ability amplify an active skill that amplifies all of the power of the caster times ten]. [Overpower an active skill that cancels all power with a lower level than the caster’s current level: 1000]. [Observe an equipable passive skill that allows the caster to see the level and most powerful skill of anyone the caster looks at], [Indestructible mind and body, a passive skill that makes it almost impossible to be affected by mental attacks, physical is unknown]. Also, there are a few skills that have [???] on them and their description says:

[unknown skill].

“Wow…..my skills are broken?! but what are these unknown skills,” thought Hiro, shocked as he closes his inventory.

     “Mister?” says the boy

“Drel get away from that “thing,” it's dangerous,” yells a random villager.

     “[Overwrite]!” yells Hiro.

A message box pops up in front of Hiro that reads “[You have used overwrite a skill that affects the world, skills that affect the world are the strongest skills, but they also come with consequences. The consequence for using overwrite is the curse of immortality, which means you will never die, grow old, and you must watch everything wilt and die forever being the caretaker of this world, not knowing death, once you accept no power in all 20 realms can reverse it]”. Then another message appears and reads “[Do you accept] [ Yes or No ].”

“It’s official I am a broken character,” thought Hiro, pressing yes.

Another message appears and reads “[Which skill would you like to overwrite].” Hiro clicks on [Demonic Tongue] and another message appears saying "[This skill is a curse to those too powerful for the world to handle “Overwrite is not powerful enough to “completely” change this skill, do you wish to morph this skill?]

“Morph? What does that mean, examine,” thought Hiro.

Another message appears and reads “[Morphing is the process of changing the qualities of a skill, if this skill is morphed it will change the effect of this skill from hating humans to either: Angels, Elves, Demons, Goblins, Slimes, Spirits, Hybrids, Gods or any other creature in the multiverse]”

“Hmmm, Angels and Gods would be an obvious choice, but why are Demons here? That would be counterproductive, well anyway in the game I killed countless angels so this choice makes sense,” thinks Hiro clicking on Angels.

The Skill changes to a title called [Demonic Angel Slayer], [This title makes it so any angel the title holder encounters will have no ability to fight against the title holder, the only exceptions are Irregular Angels, Archangels and Fallen Angels].

“Irregular angels? What are those, I've never heard of them before,” says Hiro out loud.

“Those are the heretic angels that lost their divinity and were cast from their post, they are the worst, if you’re with them leave now,” says a villager.

“Hmm, so Irregular Angels are more hated than me, however I think they fear me more than they hate me?” thought Hiro.

“I work with no one, I am a demon lord,” says Hiro as his [Intimidating Presence level 1] activates.

“Please don't hurt us, we just need help,” pleads Dan.

     “Mister?” repeats the Drel.

“Boy, do you want your parents back?” asks Hiro.

“Yes, can you wake them up mister?” replies Drel.

“I can bring all those people back to life but at a price,” says Hiro.

“Liar, only a god could do that, and you’re no god!” yells a villager.

Hiro uses [short range teleportation] to move in front of the villager,

"I can do things your puny mind couldn't even fathom," Says Hiro.

"I-I-I-I-If you can do it please do s-s-s-s-sir," Says the villager.

"Like I was saying I do have 1 condition," says Hiro with a wicked smile on his face.

"And what would that be?" asks Dan fearfully.

Hiro teleports back to dan within a millisecond of the question being asked.

     "Information of course," answers Hiro.

"I'm sorry Mr.Demon Lord we don't know anything that would please you, but we can try" answers Dan.

"What is this world's currency and what is the monetary value of each coin," asks Hiro.

"Is that all?" asks Dan in shock at such a simple question.

"1 question per life" answers Hiro.

"It's child's play to revive low level NPC's, this is a steal and I get information about the world, score!" Thought Hiro.

"OK sir, well the bronze coin is the least, then it's the silver coin which is worth 1000 bronze coins, after that there's a gold coin which most of the people in this village have never even seen which is worth 100 silver coins, then there's the diamond coin that is very rare but is also worth very much, you could buy 5 castles with 1 coin, and finally there is the platinum coin which is fairly new currency but is worth about 5 diamond coins," answers Dan.

     "Thank you," says hiro.

"Are you going to bring someone back now?" asks Dan hesitantly.

"I will bring everyone back once all my questions are answered," says Hiro with his intimidating presence still on.

"You're right, my apologies, please continue" says Dan.

"For my second question where is this place?" Asks Hiro.

"This is the capital in the heart of the Gale Kingdom" answers Dan.

"Then why does this place look so abandoned?" asks Hiro.

"I'm sorry to have not informed you but you are in the outer area of the capital where the commoners live, when the capital gets raided we are the ones who get attacked while the guards are arriving but the only guards that come here are the ones outside and the ones who use us for their own gain" answers Dan.

"Outer area? Corrupt guards? Commoners? this place is worse than hell" thought Hiro.

"What do you mean outer area? Asks Hiro.

"There are 3 main areas in the capital: the Outer area for commoners, the inner area for the nobility and the rich, and the core area for royals and their distinguished guests," answers Dan.

"Does this world have a level system?" Asks Hiro.

"Yes, we do have a level system" answers Dan.

"What is the highest level in this village?"asks Hiro.

"We aren't very high, the highest is probably level 4 at most" answers Dan.

"Thank you for answering my questions," says Hiro, turning off his intimidating presence.

"What about the people?" Asks Dan.

"[Lowest level phoenix rebirth]" says Hiro.

When Hiro uses this ability the whole village went up in flames: houses, people and the bodies.

"S-s-sir why would you do this?" Says Dan crying.

"Well, to be reborn you must come from the ashes and I figured why not all of you," says Hiro as Dan gets engulfed in flames.

The flames start to die down and no one is injured and their clothes are clean and looking new.

     "W-what happened?" asks Dan, shocked.

"You've been reborn," says Hiro patting off a small flame on his shoulder.

"Why did you not burn?" asks Dan.

"Because I'm far beyond your levels," answers Hiro.

At that moment Dan realized he was now at level 23 also he now looks 20 years younger and doesn't need his stick to move.

"HOW DID I GO UP 20 LEVELS!!!, AND WHY DO I FEEL SO YOUNG!!!" yells Dan.

"Oh that? It's a side effect of the rebirth, everyone who is burned in this flame increased 20 levels and your life force doubles, but there is a side effect…" Says Hiro as Dan fell to the ground in agonizing pain.

The side effect is that you must relive the most painful event in your life 20 times, everyone fell to the ground in pain except Drel who was still with tears in his eyes saying "mommy, daddy wake up, please."

Drel's eye and leg seem to have healed due to the rebirth.

"This one must already be living his most painful event, poor child" thought Hiro looking at Drel.

Everyone stops moving for a few minutes then they get up, even the bodies that were lying on the ground moments earlier. Drel ran over to 2 people one looks to be a twenty-five year old man who has Grey hair, hazel eyes, slender body, he was 5'11 and was crying, and the other was a twenty-one year old woman who has black hair, blue eyes, she was 5'6 and had her arms open and her eyes watering, she hugged Drel with the man.

"So these are your parents?" Says Hiro walking over to them.

"How are we alive?" asks the man to the woman.

"I brought you back to life, and who would you be?" asks Hiro.

"I am Han and this is my wife Makayla," says the man.

"Who would you be?" asks Han.

"Hello, I'm Hiro and I'm a demon lord," says Hiro smiling.

     "A demon lord?" Repeats Makayla.

"Yes and I'm feeling generous so I'll take this village as a part of my kingdom" says Hiro.

     "Your what?" Asks Dan.

"My kingdom, oh yeah, I forgot to mention I'm the demon lord of Socan the kingdom of demons, but some of my generals are human. As long as you have any use to me you are welcome in my kingdom" explains Hiro.

"How could you bring this whole village to your kingdom?" Asks han.

"I won't, I'll bring my kingdom here" answers hiro with a smile.

As Hiro was going to start the summoning ritual all the villagers say almost instantaneously "No! Please don't!"

"Why not? Does anyone have any problems with my decision?" Asks Hiro stopping.

"The king has an instant war policy in effect," says Dan.

"Instant war policy? What's that?" asks Hiro.

"The Instant war policy was created by the king of Gale, it states that any nation, kingdom, town, or village that is built within 100,000km of gale will be invaded and destroyed within the same hour" answers Dan.

"Why would I, a demon lord, fear a human?" Asks Hiro.

"He is no ordinary human, he controls this entire country and the area around it that's why even most monsters won't come anywhere near this place" replies Dan.

"It's true that I didn't see any type of monster on my way here" thought Hiro.

Hiro pauses to think then says "OK, I've decided"

     "Decided what?" Asks Dan curiously.

"I'm going to go see this "king of gale" you all seem to think so highly of..." answers Hiro.

What?!?!? Says everyone all at once.

Chapter 3: The King of Gale

"Are you sure about this?" asks Dan.

"Yes, now take me to see the king" orders Hiro.

"I'm sorry we can not take you there," Dan answers fearfully.

     "Why is that?" asks Hiro.

"Us commoners are considered lucky if we even catch a glimpse of the inner area, none of us will ever see the core area and never have, so we can't go with you" answers Dan.

"Why do you people make things so difficult for me?" says Hiro with a sigh grabbing Dan and Drel walking towards the inner area gate.

"I'll bring your son back later." Hiro yells to Han and Makayla.

Twenty minutes later Hiro, Drel and Dan reach the gate to the inner area.

"Do you want to open the door?" Hiro asks Drel.

Drel nods and tries to open the door with all his might and it won't budge.

"I tried to tell you that the door can only be opened from the inside or by a level thirty or higher" says Dan trying to catch his breath from running with Hiro.

"What's the average level for a noble?" Asks Hiro.

"Level thirty-one is the average, the highest is probably the king's advisor who is at level eighty one but he is also 397 years old" answers Dan.

"It took him 397 years to reach level eighty one? thought Hiro, surprised.

"What level is the king?" asks Hiro.

"I'm sorry, no one knows that answer but the king himself, but if I had to guess I'd say over level one hundred" answers Dan.

"Interesting, well...now I want to meet him even more," says Hiro, smiling as he kicks the door down.

All three of them walk in and see the inner area. They see tons of huge mansion like houses, buildings with symbols on them, people in clean, expensive-looking clothes start walking over to the broken door.

     "What happened?" asked a nobleman.

"I have no idea, I think some commoner opened the gate" answered another nobleman.

The nobles are now gathered around Hiro, Dan, and Drel, there are fifty nobles and twenty guards, no one seeming to be over level 40.

"What do we do?" whispers Dan.

"Who are you?" Asks the Guard.

"I am Demon lord Hiro and these are my companions Drel and Dan, we are here to see the king" answers Hiro.

"The king isn't expecting visitors" replies a guard.

"I wasn't asking," says Hiro with an upset expression.

"Where is the location of the king?" Hiro asks Dan.

"I don't know but I hear that he usually stays in the castle in the core area" answers Dan.

"Then that's where we go" says Hiro as he starts walking towards the core area.

"Halt!!!" yells a guard that steps in front of Hiro.

"Is there a problem? asks Hiro.

"You are not permitted to see his excellency, the king" answers a guard.

     "And why is that?"asks Hiro.

"You can only see the king if he or his advisor invites you to see him," says a guard.

"How do I get his permission if I can't see him?" asks Hiro.

A man who looked like he was in his twenties, black hair, green eyes, wearing a red robe with a kind smile walks over and says "You may accompany me to the castle to see the king, I was on my way there when I saw you, what luck!"

"Finally, someone who knows how to treat people," says Hiro pushing past people with Dan and Drel following.

The people and guards stop persisting as Hiro walks alongside the unknown man towards the castle asking "Why did you help us?"

"I felt like it, no more no less" answers the man smiling.

"I can't let him know that I sensed his monstrous power" thought the man.

"As long as I see the king it doesn't really matter how I get there," says Hiro.

"Why do you want to see the king?" asks the man.

"I have to ask him some things," replies Hiro.

"Hmm…okay but will you tell me when you're done?" asks the man.

     "Sure, no problem" answers Hiro.

"Why are you going to the castle?" asks Hiro.

"I work there" answers the man.

"Will you get in trouble for bringing me?" asks Hiro.

"No, not if you don't do anything wrong" replies the man.

"I may just have to apologize in advance, if things go wrong" says Hiro.

"I see, and why would things go wrong?" asks the man.

All four of them make it to the core area gates, the gates are huge and Hiro continues "Because I am a Stubborn man and I won't stop until I get what I want."

"So you haven't come to start trouble?" The man asks.

"No, I've come to resolve problems and the king might not like that, so if he refuses I may have to take action, which is not my desire" answers Hiro.

"I see, so he has a good heart" thinks the man.

The man uses magic to open the huge gates and says "This is the core area."

"Why are there different areas?" asks Hiro.

"I don't know, the king put it into action, It wasn't my idea, one day he made a royal decree that 3 walls would be built and they would represent one's social class" answers the man.

"Then I'll just ask him," says Hiro.

"Ask him what?" asks the man.

As they make it to the tall, old, grey castle Hiro answers "I'll ask him why he decided that"

All 4 of them enter the castle not stopped by the guards, they make it to the throne room where a Caucasian man that looks to be in his late twenties wearing a 3 rings on his left hand robe and spinning a golden crown on his index finger on his right hand.

"My king I have brought guests who wish to have an audience with you" said the man kneeling.

Dan also kneels and Drel hides behind Hiro who remains standing. The king asks "Who wishes to speak with me" as he stops spinning the crown.

"I do" answers Hiro stepping forward.

"Who are you?" asks the king.

"Your majesty, this is a very powerful man who I met today on my way back to the castle" answers the man.

"Powerful you say?" Repeats the king sounding interested.

"No, my king, I can not allow you to," Interrupts the man.

"I was just gonna have a little fun, why not?" asks the king.

“All due respect but I have no faith in your ability to win if you were to duel him" answers the man.

     "A duel?" repeats Hiro quizzically.

"Yes, the king usually duels anyone who is strong because since he was young he has never known an equal in combat" explains the man.

"You seem to know much about the king, have you worked here long?" asks Hiro.

"Oh yeah, I forgot to tell you I'm Demitri Tyler the advisor of the king" answers Demitri.

"I heard about you but weren't you supposed to be over 300 years old?" asks Hiro.

"I am, I'm sure I don't have to tell someone like yourself but whenever someone gains twenty levels they're lifespan increases by 100 years" answers Demitri.

"So that means I have at least 5,000 years left in me," thought Hiro, forgetting about his immortality.

"Thank you for informing my companions," replies Hiro.

"No problem, do you want to eat? Your companions look hungry" says the king.

Hiro looks at Dan and Drel whose stomachs start rumbling and replies "That sounds good, we can talk there."

Hiro, Dan and Drel are escorted to the dining hall that has a big table, 20 chairs on each side and 1 on each end. Meanwhile Dimitri and the king are in the throne room talking. "My king, I advise you not to get on this man's bad side," says Dimitri.

"Why is that?" asks the king.

"When I was at the castle garden earlier I sensed magic power so massive I thought we were being attacked by a nation or a horde of dragons and when I went to check who it was I saw the source was coming from that man" answers Dimitri.

"Do you know the limit of his power?" asks the king in shock.

"If I had to guess I'd say around level three hundred" answers Dimitri.

"Three hundred?" repeats the king in surprise.

"Yes and that is just a guess, so I beg of you whatever he asks for my lord, just give it to him, because I couldn't even fathom the monstrous power that man has hidden"

Back in the dining hall Hiro sits on the far end of the room waiting for the king. Then 10 minutes later the king enters the room and sits close to Hiro and says "Let's eat." After he says this twenty maids come out and bring carts of food. The second he gets his plate Drel starts eating like he hasn't eaten in years, and Dan tries to hold himself back but also eats fairly rapidly.

"Are you going to eat?" asks the king to Hiro.

"I'm not really hungry at the moment and in all honesty I don't trust you won't try to poison me" replies Hiro intensely.

"We would never, in this castle, no one dare do such a thing" states the king.

"Mind if I do a quick check?" asks Hiro.

"Sure, we have nothing to hide" answers the king calmly.

     "Abnormality Detection" says Hiro.

Hiro scans the room then says "I hate being right"

"Whatever do you mean, no one would dare poison a guest of mine" yells the king.

Hiro stands up and walks to where the king is standing and says looking him in the eye "My food isn't the one that's poisoned"

"Yours is" Hiro continues as he slaps the king's plate to the floor.

"Mine? How? Who would do this? I don't believe you" replies the king with sorry on his face.

"Take a look at the floor if you don't believe me," says Hiro.

The king looks at where his plate landed and sees the floor being melted. "Who could've done this?"

Hiro grabs the third maid that walked into the room "It was her" he says.

"How did you know?" asks the struggling maid.

"Easy, you still have traces of poison on your clothes" answers Hiro.

"Take her away" orders the king to a soldier that rushes into the room.

"Thank you, how can we ever repay your kindness?" asks Dimitri.

"I want 3 things, and not because I saved your king but this is what I came for" demands Hiro.

"What would that be?" asks the king.

"First I would like to move my kingdom near this one but I was told that wasn't allowed, Second I would like everyone in the outer area and third I would want a non aggression alliance formed between my kingdom and yours, not because I'm worried about you attacking but so my underlings won't destroy your country on accident" demands Hiro.

"The first and third aren't a problem but the second is troublesome" answers the king.

     "Why is that?" asked Hiro.

"Because a kingdom is only as good as its people and that would imply that the people are there" replies the king.

"When I arrived in this kingdom a good portion of the outer residents were already dead, my two companions are residents from the outer area, this boy's parents were both dead when I arrived, how do you explain that?" stated Hiro angrily.

The king looks at the eating Drel “I-I-I didn’t know…. I thought I was being a good king” replies the king.

“Why did you make the 3 areas then?" asked Hiro.

     "Safety" replies the king.

"Safety? How is it safe to abandon your citizens?" asks Hiro yelling angrily.

"The citizens in the outer area are too weak to survive around the ones in the inner area, children in the inner area could kill adults in the outer area on accident, so to prevent my citizens from killing each other I split them up" answers the king.

"Then why did you set it up where the weaker area is in the most danger?" asks Hiro menacingly.

"Danger? I stationed 12 skilled guards at every entrance of the kingdom and I ordered an instant war policy so no enemy kingdom or monster would dare to attack, no one in the outer area should be in any danger" pleaded the king.

"I don't mean outside danger, I mean starvation and poverty, as I said earlier when I arrived a good portion of the outer area were dead but I saw no one helping, if you have guards at every entrance of the kingdom then why aren't they helping the citizens? If you care so much for your citizens then why are they starving and why do their houses look abandoned?" Replied Hiro in a harsh tone.

"I-I don't know, but I swear on the name of king Maximus von gale XVII that I will be a better king and treat my citizens fairly and equally from today forward, and this is my solemn vow to you, Demon Lord Hiro." states Maximus.

After King Maximus states his vow a notification pops up that reads [Do you accept King Maximus's vow] [ Yes or No ].

"What do you think Dan?" asks Hiro.

"Why ask me?" asks Dan curiously.

"You are the village chief after all" answers Hiro.

"I see no problem with it" replies Dan.

"I wanna stay with mister" says Drel, finishing his food.

"Hmm… How about this, the ones who want to stay can stay but the ones who want to come with me can come with me" states Hiro.

"If that will prove my vow then so be it but they have to want to do it, deal?" replies Maximus holding out his hand.

"Deal" answers Hiro shaking the king's hand.
