My name is Yvonne Williams, a name that back then would be funny for the kids at elementary school, and would be an excuse or reason for my classmates to make fun of me. Now I’m 20 years old, and I’m studying principles of engineering (POE). Currently my mother is dying from leukemia, there’s nothing I can do than stay by her side, holding her hand, I want to stay with her until her last breath. A lot of doctors have told me to go home to rest, if something happen they would call me, but I cannot be relaxed with my mom in this state, she has always stayed by my side. I cannot leave her now. Actually she is not my biological mother, she said that my real mother put me on her care. Maybe they were really close friends? But every time I asked her about my real parents, she would show an expression full of sadness, and she would say “You will understand one day, dear, for now just live a peaceful life” everytime she told me that I was full of confusion, why would she say a peaceful life? Maybe my life with my parents wouldn’t be peaceful, did they have a lot of family problems? I really cannot understand why sometimes she act so mysterious, she doesn’t like talking about her past nor about my father, but sometimes she tends to tell me how my mother was. A young woman with beautiful and shining golden hair, blue eyes deeper than the ocean, but more clear than the sky. She was loved by a lot of people, but also hated by people full of envy and jealousy. She was a woman that would try to smile even in the most depressing moments, her name was Evianna, her nickname was evy, similar to my nickname that is Ivy. That’s how she was according to how mother described her. But I think that she was just exaggerating, from that description my mother seems to be a foreigner, and that description sounds a little out of place, becausey hair is a strong black, same as my eyes. How could I look so different from my mother? Maybe I took after my father? I don’t really know.

After so many things were going through my mind I just fell asleep.

*Beep——— Beep——— Beep*

A strong sound of beeping woke me up, and then it suddenly stopped. It felt like time had paused, I looked at my mother in the bed. She was sitting while smiling she patted my head, as she said “it’s time for you to go back, I know you are the only one, that can make him smile.”

In confusion I just nodded, and she smiled then she placed something on my hand.

*Beep—- beep —- beep*

I opened my eyes and there was a lot of people entering the room, they were the doctors, my mother was dying. With the machine beeping none stop, and the noice by the doctors and nurses in the room, I was shocked, and freez, and then......

*beep———— beep—————- beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep*

The beeping stopped and so did my mother’a heart.

I couldn’t do anything, but cry. And then I looked at my hand, there was a brazalete, it was a black with golden like dragon shaped brazalete. It was beautiful. But, wait.... wasn’t that a dream?! Did my mother talked to me before she died? I couldn’t tell her how much I loved her.

But then I felt a warmth around my back, it felt as if mother was hugging me. This feeling of nostalgia, made me want to cry, and smile at the same time.

After my mother’s death, I could do nothing, but cry. I even took a leave from school. I have never been absent before, but I don’t think I’m ready to leave my house yet.

Even After mother’s death, I don’t have to worry about money, because we have always lived a comfortable life. Mother was the owner of one big company in x city. She left her company to me, but there’s been some problems with the shareholders, I don’t really know how to deal with those people, but mother has always tell me to hold my head up, even if I’m in front of the gates of hell. She used to say that I hold the most power and honor on the world, as always she was mysterious and exaggerated, I think that she said those things because she loved me a lot.

Now that I think about it, mother always told me how important I am, I remember that when I was younger some kids were laughing at me, because of my strange long name (Yvvone Audrey de Bernadotte Williams). That’s why I usually present my self as Yvvone Williams, and as mother’s description of my biological mother, I guess That she really was a foreigner.

Looking at the brazalete that mother left me it looks like a dragon... in the back of the brazalete it has written “E&R” maybe this belonged to my biological mother. I don’t know what my mother meant by “making him smile”.

(With a moment of anger she tries to throw the brazalete out of the window, but she couldn’t, and she accidentally cut her finger)

Ouch...

(As the blood touched the brazalete a golden light came out of it, but between seconds, it vanished)

What was that??? Oh no, there’s blooos, I’ll have to clean it.

(Minutes later she decided to go to sleep)

(Dreaming about her mother last words)

-you are the only one that can make him smile my dear, I took care of you here because you needed to have experience of another world, that the power that comes from your mother’s family, but your mother couldn’t train you personally and told me to do it instead, she told me to make you strong enough so that you can make him smile in her place.

-(evy)- my dear I love you (she says while patting his head) and I know that you also love me a lot, that’s why I decided to have the baby, because she is the price between the two of us, I know the concequences of it... I know I don’t want you to be lonely, so please take care of her and love her for me too, ok? I love you.

(Her hands fall down and she stops breathing)
