"Eunuch Gui, let's go towards the xinghua village, it's been a long while since I've visited there. I heard it has became even more beautiful nowadays"

"yes your majesty" he responded while moving the cart towards the village.

the morning is still so young, everything seems fresh and beautiful.

as we reached the village, i ordered him to stopped the

cart. cause I wanted to take a walk around the village.

on the way, there was a really clear and beautiful yet small river was there. lotus were blooming carelessly in the river making it even more beautiful. perhaps this is the most beautiful view around here. feeling really good about everything I took a deep breath with satisfaction and started moving towards the village. and then.........

I saw that person.

everything stopped for a moment. I can only see him at the moment, moving in slow motion. like some beautiful play is going on to entertain me. I can see his every movement perfectly. the way he was picking up the lotus seeds, the way his hairs strains were swaying with the wind and then him tucking it behind his ear. and the way he smiled with satisfaction after picking up a lot lotus seeds.

he was so beautiful. the most beautiful view I've ever encountered. the reflection of new born sun was complimenting his beauty even more.

I've never seen such a beautiful person in my life. not that I've ever found a man beautiful before. but this person in front me is repository of beauty. just looking at him makes my heart full with happiness. none of my consorts can beat his beauty.

suddenly I'm not interested in walking around anymore. felt like I've already found what I needed.

I want to take him with me in the palace.

I was still there standing dumbfounded, admiring his beauty, when he turned back from the river after collecting what he needed.

then he saw me. he was surprised before containing himself to greet me.

"what a pleasant morning to see your mejesty, pardon me for not realizing the presence of your mejesty sooner." he said while slightly bowing to me.

"it's completely alright." I said with a little smile.

"may I help your mejesty with something?" he asked.

but only thing on my mind was...

"can I know your name?" I asked before even realizing it.

"I'm Xiao Wuya, i live around here" he replied.

I repeated in my mind 'Xiao Wuya'

"then I'm going to take my leave" with that I turned back towards the cart. leaving him on a little confusion.

Eunuch Gui probably was confused too. but he followed me without questioning anything.

as we started moving towards the palace I finally decided to say something to eunuch Gui

"Xiao Wuya, was it? I want him in my palace. bring him to chengqian palace in 3 days."

"chengqian palace? pardon my question your mejesty. but that's the palace for consorts."

"that's what I want him to be."

"that's what I want him to be" I said with a straight face.

"pardon me if I'm wrong your mejesty, perhaps you like his beauty? but he's a man and I'm afraid your mejesty's mother empress would never allow on bringing a male consort in the palace." he said.

"who said I want to bring him as my male consort? instead I want to bring him as my Concubine for the time being." I replied.

"your mejesty, can you explain it more clearly?" eunuch Gui requested, scared to ask any more questions.

"I particularly don't like him or anything. I'm not even planning on marrying him. you know I'm not into men, there won't be anything physical relation with him. it's just he's so beautiful that I want to look at him everyday. I'll explain what you have to do when we get back to the palace." with that I ended the conversation.

"Emperor wants you as his Concubine, so please accept my request?"

to say I was surprised was a statement but Emperor wants a male Concubine was really shocking for me. I never knew emperor is also interested in guys.

and here, emperor's personal eunuch visited me in person to request me to be emperor's Concubine.

"umm......Mr. Gui can I please reject the offer" I replied nervously. hoping him to at least go back without sentencing me any kind of punishment.

"Xiao Wuya, please think about it carefully. emperor haven't said anything about what he'll do if you reject the offer. but I suggest you to accept it anyways to avoid any kind of consequences. you never know what emperor will do when he's angry." eunuch Gui said almost scaring me.

almost? who am I kidding. I'm shit scared damn!

i sighed with disappointment clear on my face. I felt like crying. i respect Emperor no matter what his preferences is. but I don't like man, I can't be his Concubine. I never thought this day would come. where I will have to think about my life on line.

eunuch Gui probably noticed my troubled face. then he said -

"before you decide again, let me explain further more about the offer. emperor said he admires your beauty so much. he's not into man, he's not even planning on marrying you. he just wants to see your face every day, since it makes him happy, emperor said so. there won't be anything physical contacts. and when emperor will get bored with your beauty, he promised to send you back home safe and sound. also he'll send hundred gold coins every month during your stay in the palace. so you can count it as a temporary job." Mr. Gui explained. making me feel so much better.

"so, that's only it?" I asked with a little smile.

"yes." he replied with a smile.

"then.....I guess I can umm... actually agree on that" I replied hasitantly. hoping not to regret my words.

" but....." he paused.

making me worry a bit again.

"but....what?" I asked.

"but it's a secret. since it might effect emperor's reputation and image you'll have to dress up as a woman. no one can find out about you being a man. emperor said since you have such gentle and sweet voice it won't be a problem. just avoid meeting anyone and don't speak much with other people in the palace.and you'll be staying in consort palace." he explained.

'Damn! what's with the emperor. why go through such things just because he wants to see me.' I thought to myself.

"can I turn back from my words?" I asked.

"no you can't. be ready, tomorrow I'll come back to pick you up." with that he left.

huh??? tommorow??

Damn! my life.

but hundred gold coins every month. it's worth it. 🤤
