"help! help! no!" those little fragile hands of a child trying to survive in the cold deep water "don't! pl ah ha ease ha ha ah  don't huff !! help! huff! ah help! huff huff  n hu hu o! huff no! nooo hel...." and  slowly that little hand disappeared in the depth of the dark and cold water ...then .... blank.. huff huff huff ..darkness..... "you are nothing but an abandoned kid", 'no'," you should be grateful that we feed you educate you", 'huff huff', " you are just a pet" ...." you should be loyal to your master no matter what ", 'no no no', "you are abandoned",'i am not huff huff', "a pet", "you lowly servant!" sounds piercing through ears from everywhere...." Noooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!" suddenly awaken from nightmare "huff! huff! huff! huff!" covering his face with his both hands the figure glanced at the clock on the bedside table .... as usual awaken at half past 3 in the morning.

Getting up he went to his private gym to exert his nightmare out. after the immense exercise of two hours he got ready, had breakfast and at sharp seven in the morning ,as usual, Hester Luo , is present in his office. This was his daily morning routine.

Employees haven't yet reach at the office, only his 'butler' and trustworthy secretary, Swiston , was there. As he had worked with him from almost last few years ,so he was well aware of  his routine.

"Good morning, master", politely greeted Swiston.

'hmm', only reply that can be expected from our 'master', again butler continued the conversation, little frankly this time, " master, when are you going to get rid of your cold attitude and arrogance?, new assistant has already quit due to fear", then..... a sharp glance reach him and ... his mouth is already zipped up, " want your this year salary?", stated Hester.,"ok!ok! i am quiet , this time i will recruit someone who can stand your sight and attitude, here is your schedule for today, i will take my leave now" , handing the i-pad he went out of the office .

After he left, there was nothing but cold lifeless eyes staring at the city from the large window of the 18 floor building. Those eyes were empty just like empty dry sky without any stars or clouds or anything . Who has forgotten the word happiness even don't know it's meaning, just like stars forget to shine.

ON THE OTHER SIDE

ring/ring/ring (phone rang)

"ugh... it's morning already"

Father-" Oleander sweetheart ! wake up ! hurry up."

Oleander- "fine fine i am up" wearing tracksuit and track shoes here our heroine goes," i just don't understand why are you so interested in teaching me martial arts . self defense is already enough and even when i am not with you you are still harassing your poor daughter on the phone . seriously , are you even my father?

Father-" well my sweetheart, when the right time arrives i will tell you , so have you wake up?"

Oleander-" am already out of the house to the roadside for jog"

Father-"good , by the way what about your job?"

Oleander-" don't even ask. they interviewed me as if i am ********** and going to work for a fashion show. Hence, i denied due to my professional work requirement."

Father-" seems like i have no choice"

Oleander- suddenly stopping, "what do you mean, old man?!"

Father-"hey, watch your language! "

Oleander-" whatever, so what were you talking about?" continuing running.

Father-" well it's that excellent student of mine", telling proudly.

Oleander-" oh is it the one about whom you are talking about all the time?", while running fast

Father-"yes, his butler yesterday seems to be in dilemma. they need assistant but most of them got fired in just first few hours on their first day of work. reason, they are frightened , incapable or try to seduce him. so..."

Oleander-" is he that handsome that they tried to seduce him ? "

Father-" of course he is! so how about this challenge . i know with your ability you can't be afraid or incapable as for seduction it depends upon you"

Oleander-"huh?!" suddenly stopping" you old man!! so , this is how you think of your daughter ? don't worry i will go and work there and  after a year of work i will quit on my own without being fired . "

Father-" i doubt that.... how about i will give you the land in zone c if you win?"

Oleander-"great two shots with one bullet, now i am 10,000% sure that i am going to win. you just wait for tomorrow i will send you the picture of my ID "( your daughter can't be win over by someone and not that easily. i will show you and finally i will get to see the person who had my proud father head over heels for him).

Father-" ok i will send them your resume then?"

Oleander-" no need, old man. i will go there personally" while returning to the way home.

tut/tut/tut

Father-" huh this brat! hope she can learn some manners from him"

wow! her father hope her to learn some manners from him but who would've thought that his favorite persone also have same personality except from his 'so called' relatives. and his master and butler.

...... after a long run Oleander went home, took shower and after wearing a bath robe she went to kitchen, took a cup of warm  milk and sit on the arm chair with an i-pad in hand.

...... after a workout, Oleander went home. After freshening up she settled herself on the sofa in the living room with a warm cup of milk in her hand and i-pad in the other one.

after sending her resume she took a sip of the drink when... ting!

" huh ? so soon!? ..... from reply....it seems i am...the only one applying for this post...is he that terrified..?", she mumbled with unpleasant smile and remembering her father's training . again putting the negative thoughts aside she continued to read the mail.

she quickly got ready in a formal attire and drive off to the office building.

ON THE OTHER SIDE

when the secretary Swiston went to HR department to enquire about the interested candidates, he was not having any hope to find one so easily but just as he entered, the junior manager of the department rushed towards him with his laptop in his hand.

manager-  "Sir Swiston!, look someone just send me resume for the assistant post !"

Swiston- "what?! then what are you waiting for hurry up ask him to come here in an hour!"

manager- "yes! but....."

Swiston- "no buts. just send him order "(wow, i am going to get a treat finally my salary is saved~)

IN THE OFFICE OF THE GENERAL MANAGER

Hester was reading some files in his office when Swiston knocked

Hester- hmm (his means come in)

Swiston- Sir, new assistant will arrive in an hour

Hester- hmm? (giving him a suspicious sight)

Swiston- manager said he will send the resume to you directly through e-mail

Hester- hmm

AFTER AN HOUR

Oleander parked her car in the parking lot and went to the reception. of course, just like every time she successfully grabbed the attention of most of the people present there as she was dressed in the most beautiful accessory, her confidence.

Oleander: Good morning (politely and professionally greeting to the receptionist)

receptionist: (wow....) Good morning miss, welcome to @ internationals , how may i help you?

Oleander: can you tell me where the interview for the General Manager's assistant is taking place?

receptionist: please wait in the lobby, i will call sir Swiston and inform him.

Oleander: thankyou (just now she was frightened as if she heard the name of the Satan).

while;

Swiston: (on call) are you sure 'he' is she?

receptionist: 100%, sir.

Swiston : ok i am coming, you ask her to wait now in the lobby

receptionist : ok, sir

Swiston: damn, it's a girl. what if she tries to seduce him ? i am doomed this time, but i have no choice, huff-

IN THE LOBBY

Oleander : (hmm , the interior of the company is also nice, its just the employees are weird they are acting as if i am waiting for the eunuch to read my death penalty to bring me for execution, huh but i am not afraid and why would i be? i am Oleander White, the invincible one)

Swiston : ahem , you must be the new Assistant

Oleander: oh , hello this is Oleander White. i think you must be sir Swiston

Swiston : yes, i am, miss Oleander. so, shall we go to the office?

Oleander: oh , yes please

Swiston: by the way, why did you apply for the post despite those rumors?

Oleander: being a professional, i believe in evidence rather than rumors. as for the reason why i applied, i would like to test my limits since your company have high standards.

Swiston: i see.

Oleander: so, how long is the internship period?

Swiston: as long as you can stay here for more than a day you are selected, rest depends upon you and the General Manager.

Oleander: uhmm.

Swiston :umm do you know martial arts and b sites?

Oleander : well.. its a private question

Swiston:  i will take it as yes

Oleander: ... is it a threat to work or against company rules?

Swiston: no no actually it's great , i can tell you as long as you are faithful and sign the contract or it can even cost your life

Swiston: still after the contract only, company policy.

Oleander : yeah sure, i understand.

Swiston: good (wise with words)

Oleander: so , what i have to do to pass the test?

Swiston: just stand the attitude of our boss

Oleander: that's it?

Swiston: don't be confident. he is not easy to please, miss Oleander

IN THE GENERAL MANAGER'S OFFICE

knock knock

she heard a sound of "hmm"

Swiston: let's come in , miss White

Oleander: wait

Swiston: yes? (is she nervous)

Oleander: but he hasn't given the permission yet to enter

Swiston: oh ! don't mind this. our boss is a man of very few words even a sentence is very rare to hear in a day , so shall we come in.

Oleander: uh...sure (.... i am kind of nervous and excited ...)

(the door opened and a tall figure sitting behind the table on a chair appeared, focused on files. his black hairs

combed perfectly and sharp nose with a perfect pair of thin but soft lips.... suddenly those dense blue eyes were staring towards her...)

Swiston: master, this is Miss Oleander White , here for the interview.

Hester: (look is professional and the confidence is shining in her eyes, let's see) hmm

Swiston: i will take my leave now...

(while going out he whispered 'good luck' in her ears hoping to get the right assistant for his master so that his burden can be lessened )

Oleander: (!?) My name is Oleander White, nice to meet you, sir (politely she greeted while maintaining a professional distance)

Hester: (acceptable attitude) hmm

Oleander: (really cold)

Hester: oh, please take a seat , miss White

Oleander: thankyou (at least have manners)

Hester: as you might have known, my name is Hester Luo and i will be in charge of taking your interview as i will be your ultimate superior if you got selected. i have checked your qualifications, two PHD's , knows martial arts , and 6 languages, which meets qualifications excellently.

Oleander: thankyou , Sir (passing a polite and professional smile)

Hester: but, i believe what i judge my self with my own tests , hope you understand.

Oleander: (so rude, but as a Boss , it's only right to test) i understand.

Hester: good. so you have a day, if you perform your task well you will be hired under terms and conditions of the company. first you have 3 hours. take this file, organize and analyze the data. (while passing a thick blue file)

Oleander: (while collecting the file)  yes, sir

Hester: you can  go now, Swiston will show you your desk.

Oleander:  i will take my leave then (she replied politely and went out).

(that was easy he is not bad. i have to say that his communication skills are polite and professional despite his cold persona.)

Hester: (while looking at file) (she was not even afraid when i glared at her, maybe her confidence or another tricks of women. anyway as long as proper assistant is here)

IN THE OTHER OFFICE

Swiston: here is the  General Manager's assistant department , you can sit here

Oleander: thankyou

Swiston: so you passed?

Oleander: well almost, just need to wait for tomorrow after completing these tasks.

Swiston: oh ok (yes!! hurray!! i am saved!! ) ahm by the way your temp. ID has been placed in your right drawer of the desk , if you need anything you can call me from the office next to General manager's.

Oleander: sure, Mr. Swiston

(and he went out)

Oleander: so let's see ...(while opening the file) huh? what the hell.... this too much to complete in three hours, ...(when that old man gave me these tasks back then, i used to get pissed .... but see ! Oleander what you have got yourself into... )oh no you can't be demotivated easily , fine i will break my record today. so, let's start!

(after three hours)

Oleander: oh no , it's almost 3 minutes left , i need to hurry up (huff ... hopefully old man's punishments are proving to be fruitful today, oh my old man i have to admit that i miss you a bit) sigh (and while reaching the CEO's office she knocked the door and the same "hmm" sound came from inside. she open the door and went inside , he was still sitting there)

Oleander: Sir, here is the task you gave me. it's completed

Hester: hmm (taking the file from her and looking at clock) have a seat, Miss

Oleander: (while sitting on the chair she was still looking at him) (what the hell he is thinking? his eyes are so emotionless can't predict what he is thinking at all.... huff)

(after few minutes)

Hester: (seriousness can be seen from each inch of the sheet and perfection is here. it's similar to that person's style..) you passed....

Oleander: huh? (suddenly )

Hester: barely

Oleander: ( bastard! pig head!) oh so..?

Hester:  there is another task

Oleander: (huh? how many are there? ) and that is?

Hester: follow me (he said standing up and moving out of the office)

Oleander: (hey i am not your pet! but for the sake of that land ! get up oleander dear) (and she still followed him)

(in his private elevator there was some difference from the other one....
