Eszekiel couldn’t pinpoint the exact moment but there he was laying down with his silky black hair, dark brown eyes, and was still wearing percy’s hoodie, and was currently about to doze off.

Eszekiel zoned out for a minute or so that’s what he thought. Thus, he had at least 30 minutes left before the interview when he reached for his phone to check the time. If he kept nodding off, he was going to be late.

“Shit? It's already 10:20?!” he says

He threw himself up and hurried to the bathroom to take a shower. He had entirely forgotten his clothes on the bedside table, but before he could open the door, Percy was already standing and leaning against the wall with Kiel's clothes in his arms.

“Looking for this?” percy says

"Yes, I realized that I forgot to bring my clothes" kiel replied

“Never knew you were this sexy” he says

"Quit staring," kiel scowled. As he reached for his clothes, just as he was about to close the door, Percy had managed to prevent the door from closing and was determinedly pushing it open teasingly.

“PERCY!” kiel shouted, percy was chuckling and kiel eventually gave up from trying to keep percy away

“If you don’t stop teasing me i’m gonna get fired” kiel says

“You’re so cute when you’re mad” percy replied

Eszekiel and Percy had finished taking a shower and were headed for work, they quickly rushed to the car and drove off.

“you know i just realized” kiel says

“Hmm?” percy replied while looking at him

“I’ll tell you but eyes on the road.” kiel says “You know, we wouldn’t have been running late if you had just woken me up, you did wake up early? Didn’t you”

“Well you looked so cute and peaceful sleeping” percy replied “and i didn’t wanna wake you up since you stayed up so late doing your works”

“Eh, alright” kiel says

"Plus, I own the place, so you don't have to work anymore, and money would just keep coming in." percy says

"You're right, but all I want is to experience life to the fullest," Kiel said. “Oh and look, were almost here”

I can't avoid getting into trouble even if Perry owns the business because of Valerie, the manager—that is, Valerie, Percy's sister. When we arrived, I hurried to my seat, not caring that I was fifteen minutes late. Valerie gave me a hard time for missing the entire interview and asked me to remain beyond my shift.

“You all are dismissed” valerie says “except for you kiel, stay”

I looked at Valerie and noticed her glaring at me. Everyone left the office, one by one, until Valerie and I were the only ones remaining.

"You missed the interview entirely, which caused everyone's work to be delayed." Valerie says "It's unacceptable that we only have one strike left before our company falls apart due to your actions."

"I apologize, Ms. Grey. This won't happen again." i replied

Valerie glared and said, "It certainly won't happen again, Kiel. You're fired."

My eyes opened and my heart fell upon hearing those words. I never imagined that after only two years of employment, I would be dismissed already. I knew that asking Valerie to accept me back would only make matters worse, so I refrained from doing so.

Even though I was inconsolable, I went to Percy to inform him what had happened and packed the things that needed packing. I smelled something familiar as I unintentionally bumped into someone in the corridor.

At first, I thought it was Percy, but glancing up showed that it was actually a tall, muscular man who was probably in his 20s, for someone this old this one is attractive.

“Quit staring” he says

“That’s my line” i replied

Upon examining his badge, I noticed that he was among the more senior staff members, which doesn't surprise me at all for someone with an appealing appearance.

“What is someone like you doing out here? Only senior staff members are allowed in this corridor "And you ought to be working at this hour," he remarks.

"I'm going to the owner's office," I answered.

“And why is that?” he says

"I thought that wasn't really your concern," I answered.

His eyes widened with surprise, as if he hadn't anticipated such a response. "You stand out from every other employee." he says

I wondered if that was meant to be a praise or an insult. “Probably because I'm unique,” I replied. He gave me an incredulous look and carried on walking.

" Hold on, I didn't get your name! I called out to him along the hallway, and he turned to face me. "Zion," he replied. As I was making my way to the office, I continued saying his name to myself out of concern that I might forget it.

I lost awareness while walking and unexpectedly found myself in front of the office door. I reached for the doorknob and went inside. Percy turned his head towards the door and saw me staring back at him with my usual empty expression

“What appears to be the issue, my love?” he remarks. "Your aura seems off than usual," he remarks.

"Your sister just fired me," I retorted.

“Don't worry, I'll speak with her," he says “Maybe she’s in a bad mood”

“No, no don’t bother, i appreciate you talking to her but i don’t wanna cause any more trouble, i’ll just do as you asked me to and just focus on my school works percy.” i replied “plus, i’ve got a lot to do”

“Are you sure kiel?” he says

"Yes, I am certain of it, Percy," I smiled in response.

"Well, kiel, since nobody is going to be around for long and I have nothing to do, we could just keep ourselves occupied.” He states.

“I’m not in the mood, percy.” i reply

He got up, disregarded what I said, picked me up, and sat me on his lap

“You look so cute, kiel,” he remarks. He wrapped his hands around my waist and began to kiss me before I could say anything. I pushed him because I was having trouble breathing and then carried on making out.

We heard footsteps approaching after a while, and I swore to that someone would come in sooner. I hid in the area beneath the table, barely fitting in there, and sure enough, Valerie walked up and told Percy that she had dismissed me.

Percy pretended not to know. and carried on discussing works. My inner demons told me to tease Percy, so I did. I was caressing him, and I could tell he was attempting to maintain a neutral look.I chose to take things a step further and slipped my hands on his shirt, feeling the muscles in his abdomen and his body warmth.

After Valerie quickly departed, Perry took hold of me and seated me on his lap while I laughed contentedly.

“What were you thinking” he says “we could have been caught”

“I did what i had to do” i replied

"You are such a dare devil, we are carrying on this conversation at home. Get ready, I'm not holding back," he declares.

I glanced at him in shock, knowing that he was just playing a joke on me. Since I still had a lot of work to do and was exhausted, I got up and walked for the door.

“Leaving so soon?” he says

“Yes, Percy, I still have stuff to do. I'll simply meet you at home, okay?” I answered.

"Okay, make sure you get home safely," he said. "Bye, I love you."

"Bye, I love you," as I turned to go.

After leaving the building, I waited for a near-by vehicle to drive me home. Sitting there, I noticed a familiar smell and looked up to see Zion seated in front of me.

“I didn’t expect you to be riding a cheap vehicle as this one” i stated

"I have no choice because my car broke," he replies in a deep, icy voice. “I wouldn’t be riding this either”

"I could say the same; my boyfriend plans to stay late tonight, and I don't have a car to take." i replied

“Well what a shame..” he replies

I briefly believed he was going to question my sexual orientation since, typically, someone with his attractive appearance would merely criticize and inquire about my sexual orientation.

I guess you could say he was different.

I've been unemployed for a few weeks now, and I find it tedious to have to spend all of that time at home studying for my classes. 

However, I had just made the decision to go out and treat myself for once after giving it some thought, I spotted a familiar blonde hair wearing his uniform as I was making my way downstairs; it was Percy, and I assumed he was going to work, so I didn't ask where he was going, He instructed me not to wait for him to return home after noticing me and said he was going to stay up late.

“Get home safely” Upon responding, I headed downstairs. Seeing that Percy hadn't finished his ramen, I sat down and made the decision to finish it before it became cold.

“Really… it’s spicy seafood?” I frowned "Why is seafood the only food that Percy eats?" 

Annoyed and hungry that I had to eat it to avoid leaving with an empty stomach, while eating I was scrolling through my phone until I came across a new store that had just been recently opened not too far away from where I live.

"This is my destination," I thought to myself.

I received a notification from Percy as I was eating the ramen, asking, "Where are you?” I was about to click the notification after seeing it in Confusion, but it appeared that Percy had already revoked the message.

Thoughts came flooding in thinking about different possibilities to whom could he have sent the message, I zoned out.

"With whom may he be speaking to? "What if he's seeing someone else beside me?" I wondered to myself.

I opened the app that I had downloaded on both my phone and Percy's after having an overthinking fit. Since the software follows a person's precise position, I waited a little while longer to see where Percy was going. 

I checked the app after waiting to see that Percy was in the recently opened mall, but I remembered that he had told me he was going to stay up late because he had work to complete and was dressed in his regular work attire.

He had lied to me about working late, which disappointed me, so I decided to look into it more. I didn't want to make assumptions, so I made the decision to learn the truth before reacting.

I quickly went upstairs to change into new clothes, skipping the shower on purpose because I was in a hurry. I then hurried outside to wait impatiently for a jeepney to come because Percy had taken the vehicle. 

“This is so infuriating” I thought to myself.

After some time passed, a jeepney finally stopped to offer me a ride. The jeepney was only going in one direction, which happened to be the newly opened store. Many people appeared to be going there, perhaps because it was something they had never seen before. 

The individuals next to me were discussing the just established business, and they said that it was unique and stood out due to the products they sold as well as the interior and exterior design. 

I arrived at my location and hurriedly jumped out of the jeepney before I could even check my phone. When I saw the store, I realized they weren't kidding—it was stunning and had a unique design that left me speechless and almost made me forget why I had come. 

When I first walked into the building, I was astounded to see how much larger it was, how crowded it was, and how beautifully the lighting and interior design were done.

I kept investigating after looking around to see if I could spot Percy anywhere.

I checked my phone to see whether I was at the right area because I couldn't find him anywhere and thought maybe I had misread the direction. Fortunately I was.

"Where is he?" I said to myself, “ I have to think like Percy," I said to myself as I started to look around. I then questioned myself where I would have gone if I were Percy, and when I saw a Ramen store, I knew precisely where to go.

Zion was the familiar figure I spotted as I made my way towards the store. He seems to be wherever I go, and I joke to myself that it won't be long till I see him at home. I didn't have time to say hello, so I just ignored him and kept walking. I heard the rain pouring from outside and I didn't bring a car nor an umbrella.

“Seriously? it’s raining?” i thought to myself

I entered the ramen store and I saw a familiar guy with blonde hair, wearing a black uniform… It was percy, and Amber…

“Amber?!” i said to myself “And what could someone like her be doing in a ramen store with my boyfriend, what business does amber have with percy” i frowned 

Amber was one of Percy’s coworkers; normally, Perry wasn't the kind to become friends with his staff, especially not a girl like Amber.

I decided it would be safer to hide and observe from a distance, so that's exactly what I did. I observed Percy selecting different varieties of ramen while holding Amber's arm.

I thought to myself, "What?," not knowing how to respond or what to convey. I couldn't express myself.

I didn’t know what to feel.

“Maybe percy was just being friendly” i said to myself as i watched amber pecked percy’s cheeks that’s where i knew i had seen enough

Amber didn’t know me and percy had a think since she had just been accepted to the job for a couple of months and we don’t normally go around and tell people about me and percy’s relationship.. i couldn’t blame her, but i was angry, upset and infuriated

“I didn’t expect he was going to do this to me, was everything we had cherished all fake?” i thought to myself “How long had they been together..” 

I didn't know what to feel at that moment, but I was devastated since all I had was Percy, and now knowing that he had cheated on me, my heart broke into a million pieces considering how much I had loved him. 

I couldn't stop staring as tears welled up in my eyes. I hurried outside and ran into Zion, who seemed worried about me by the look in his eyes.

“What’s wrong kiel..” he says “Why are you crying?”

I ignored him, shot him a quick glance, and fled outside, oblivious to the rain and the approaching darkness. Since I didn't have a car, I was unable to drive away and couldn't even run because my house is far away.

"Why does everything have to end up miserable for me? I scowled to myself "Why is everything going wrong for me?"

For a moment I thought the rain had stopped. I glanced around, thinking the rain had ceased, only to see Zion putting out an umbrella for the two of us.

“Life isn’t easy” he says “So instead of questioning and predicting your future, you should just actively work hard for the future you want.”

I looked at him and held eye contact before answering

“I have no one” i replied “My boyfriend just cheated on me, and I just lost my job, I’m surprised i’m still alive”

He gave that same look of disbelief way back at the corridors.

“Do you wanna talk about it?” he says “Come, i’ll drive you home”

I followed him to his car out of desperation, gave him my address, sat down next to him, and we eventually drove away. I looked at the window and saw myself in the side-mirrors and started zoning out

“Everything is so fucked up” i thought to myself “Life really does hate me..”

After we got home, I made the decision to talk to him about my issues and the recent incident. As time went on, I requested him to stay the night. 

I told him, "You should just stay for the night, zi. I can't just let you go home in the middle of the night. Plus, it's still pouring rain, and I don't want you to have an accident."

After some time, he gave in and assisted me in getting ready for bed. I changed into new clothing, we said goodnight to each other, and I went to the other room.

Unaware that I was in complete danger.

There was a huge bang below that startled me out of sleep, and I wasn't sure whether to investigate because in the movies, inquisitive individuals usually die while looking into strange activity. Unable to resist curiosity, I told myself that this was worth dying for. 

I was at the bottom of the stairs, hidden in the wall to see who could be making such commotion, and I was creeping and trying not to make any noise while carrying Percy's baseball bat. I was feeling lightheaded and had only just woken up, so I was unable to visualize the individual.

My heart stopped when I finally realized who it was; everything happened so quickly that I was unable to process it all and wasn't sure how to respond.

“I’m sorry for waking you up, i’m just here to take my things and go” he says

“Percy…” i replied “You’ve got some nerves coming back here, After what you did to me you dare step foot on my territory” 

He just looked at me with regret in his eyes and I couldn't even look at him.

“Your time is up.” I cry out to him “leave.” 

As I watched him head to the door, I never thought he would actually listen to me. My eyes welled with tears as I began to have flashbacks. 

“i love you, kiel.” he says 

“You’re resolved to leave with a lie on your lips.” I shouted. He gave me a sorrowful look, and I could see he felt bad about what he did, but if someone had totally betrayed my trust, I'm not the kind of person who gives people a second opportunity.

“I didn’t wanna hurt you..” he says

“You will never hurt me again.” I scowled at him defiantly “Please, just go..”

He eventually gave in and shut the door behind him. I fled to my bedroom and broke down since I was dealing with a lot of issues, I was crying uncontrollably when I heard a knock on my door. I quickly went to get some tissue to wipe away my tears since I felt ashamed, and when I opened it, Zion was there.

“Kiel, What’s wrong?” he says

“My ex-boyfriend just came in, so it's nothing”, I said, while trying to avoid eye-contact.

“Do you wanna talk about it?” he says 

I was about to answer until his phone started ringing “I’m sorry, but can I take this?” he says 

“Of course, i’ll just meet you here again” i replied

He went out of the bedroom and closed the door behind him.

Zion’s Pov:

*Unknown Caller*

“Any update, Zion?”

“Now is not the right time” zion says

“How so?”

"He has been going through a difficult time." zion replied 

“So you’ve finally gone soft?” chuckling “Wait till your father hears about this” 

*ends call*

Zion was questioning himself because all he ever wanted was his fathers honor and support and he was failing.

As he was going to return to the room his phone rang, and as he pulled it out of his pocket to see it was his father, he hesitated to respond because he knew exactly what he was going to say.

“Zion” 

“I can explain”

"Zion, you have let me down. Either you succeed or you will no longer be my son." 

He was processing and eventually his father ended the call before he even got the chance to explain. He has got to succeed if he still wanted his fathers honor.

“I wonder what zions up to” I thought to myself

“I brought you water” Zion says

I looked back to see Zion smiling with a cup of water in his right hand while walking towards me.

“Thank you” i told him while taking the water from him

“You’re Welcome” he replied while smiling 

Without hesitation i drank the water he has given me, once i finished i placed the water in the bedside table and heard Zion mutter a word

“Hm? I didn't quite catch that?” i told him

“I’m sorry” he replied

“For wh-“ before i could even finish my sentence, my head throbbed and my head spun, i was calling out to him for help but i could see him standing whilst looking at me. I soon collapsed to the floor, I could feel him carrying me to the bed and gently placing me. I could barely open my eyes but I could see that he was holding a knife and was holding it just above me, and he struck and I blacked out.

Surprisingly i woke up from what i thought was a dream, i could see Zion's back and was standing right infront of me.

“Zion..” i called out to him

He barely turned his head and was looking at me from the side of his eyes.

“I had the weirdest dream” I said to him, When I was about to stand up, I saw that he was holding a knife in his right hand, and that's where everything came flooding back, and I realized it was no dream.

“Y-you tried to kill me..” i looked at him in disbelief 

He turned his head back and was walking away from me, I felt the impulse to get up and take his hand all of a sudden. 

“Zion..” i said to him, he did not look at me nor talk he just stopped and stood “Please, don’t leave me” I didn’t know why I said that, but I did, and I didn’t regret saying it, and that’s when he turned his head towards me and looked me in the eye.

“I almost killed you, kiel” he replied “And you still have the courage to keep me from leaving; you’re safer without me being here.” He took back his hand, and left…
